Dear Sebastion! Because you mentioned Byredo, I want to draw attention to another Swedish perfume house. Björk & Berries is not often mentioned, I can actually just find 1 review on UA-cam. They currently have 6 perfumes in their library, but since your topic is autumn perfume I would mention September. TOP: POMELO, KUMQUAT, LAVENDER HEART: EUCALYPTUS, APPLE BLOSSOM, JASMINE BASE: VETIVER SMOKE, PAPYRUS, GUAIAC WOOD, PINK PRALINE "The scent of September captures the first day of fall at the farm. The stacks of hay are warm in the afternoon sun and blend together with the scent of harvested fruits and a blue sky, crisp with promises of new beginnings. The fresh cut logs in the barn leave a lingering scent of warm and moist wood. September is a woody and aromatic scent with notes of pomelo, lavender, vetiver smoke and pink praline." worthy of recommendation //Jens
Always find it interesting that people in Europe/Americas tend to think of sandalwood as autumn/winter note yet lots of Indian people I speak to consider it a hot weather one.
To me the fragrance that smells the most like autumn is Oriza L. Legrand Chypre Mousse. It's like taking a stroll in a forest after the rain in autumn: it smells like mushrooms, wet earth, chestnuts,... The only thing that takes me out of the experience is the fennel (I really wish it didn't have it), but it still is amazing and very unique!
As a Bay Area native, I know exactly what you mean about the unique scents here in the Fall. Three that come immediately to mind are the scents that rise from dry pine, bay and redwood needles crushed under your shoe, as in Muir Woods or Old Mill Park in Mill Valley. Also, the smell from moist, wind-blown juniper and cypress out by Lake Merced or on Mt. Tam. The driftwood logs and giant seaweed drying on Pt. Reyes beaches, and the pomace of wine grape skins after crush in Napa Valley. These smells evoke lifelong memories. Thanks for the video!
I just bought Frank Boclet “Cashmere” and Lutens L’Orpheline (my 4th or 5th bottle) for Fall. Every year, when the season changes, I crave fig notes, for some reason. Tea Noir from Le Labo is a good Fall one for me too.
I miss your reviews with all your knowledgeable woman friends.... I hope you will bring them back. It gives very balanced reviews and interesting exchanges.....
I do agree that fragrances can be worn year round but the colder season definitely is a fave as I can get away with wearing a strong and beast mode fragrance.
I would change Byredo Bal d'Afrique to BIBLIOTHEQUE ❗That is a true autumny, darker, more mysterious, cozy fragrance to the murky weather! It has a plum, peach, leather, patchouli and I definitely feel paper and woods. For ladies - imagine a sexi librarian woman in a white blouse, leathery pencil skirt, high heel shoes, big glasses and red lipstick. For me, No. 1 from the Byredo range.
Hi! Love Autumn, especially the feeling of getting colder, with some crisp air that recalls winter, but with days still being sunny and bright! My second favourite season, after Spring! 🤗 Great list, as usual! 😁 You always find some new stuff that I didn't know before, and want to get to know now... Looool Was kinda waiting to see some Naxos popping up!? Loool But I really appreciate you taking time to find different fragrances from the usual suspects! 😁 If I could suggest an idea for a video, would you consider a list of fragrances that are "out there"? Not in a hard to wear kind of thing, but more like fragrances that steer away from the pack, that are really unique and borderline strange! I kinda gravitate towards unique and weird scents, and would really like to get your perspective! I bet you'd come up with really unique and bonkers fragrances that I'd love to get to know! 😁 Just an idea... But thanks for this video! Awesome job, as usual! 😄👍
Hindu Kush is a great fragrance it was late autumn 2 yrs ago many people on the cruise i was came to me and asked what are you wearing everytime u pass by we get this wonderful smell. This is more complimented for me than Cedrat Boise.
So glad that you mentioned If. and Ganymede in this video. I've actually been rocking these two the whole summer. I got compliments, not from someone I know, but from total strangers while wearing them.
I absolutely L🧡VED this Autumn-esque fragrance review. I am an Autumn girl, born in November, who loves the smells of nature during the Fall time of the year. Thanks for this review!!! 💛🍁🍂🧡
For me the best fall scent is Chatillon Lux - Confluence, smells like you are cutting down a Douglas fir tree and throw in some elemi resin! It’s AMAZING! Number two for me is your old reliable, E.N. A lextreme
There are two fragrances that are literally autumn in a bottle are spitting images of one another with slight differences….Profumum Roma’s “Arso” and the brother of it Maison Margiela Autumn Vibes. If you like Arso, I dont see how anyone would not like Autumn Vibes.
To me autumn vibes needs something a little sweet. A little Tonka bean perhaps. It reminds me of my the fireplace but without the vanilla and nuttiness. It's pure Smokey. It also reminds me of lush all good things that was sadly discontinued but that had Tonka in it. It needs something sweet. I think Tonka was the thing that was missing from it. But I think it will be a nice mixer. And pair really well with vanillas.
I always enjoy and look forward to your videos, even if I do not own the fragrances you are talking about, but more often than not, I am familiar with the fragrances. Although I am more of a summer person, lots of my fragrances are geared to fall and winter. However, the end of summer always makes me feel sad.
I really want to try Wood Haven. I just discovered a boutique less than 3 hours from my house that sells Kerosene fragrances (particularly exciting because I’m in the Midwest where my only options in this town are Macy’s and Ulta 🙄). I plan on making a pilgrimage soon.
Great list and I enjoyed it and I like Amouage sunshine man and Mancera hindu kush and nishea fan your flames and I'm going to try the other fragrances and have a blessed day
Woohoo love the them. Fall is my favorite season and like you living in Northern California there is a certain smell in the air when it's dry and sunny and warm. I'll be taking notes on many of these so I can sample them. Thank you.
Hi Sebastian. I heard that autumn vibes smells like gucci pour homme 1 or bentley for men absolute. I had that bentley and i agree that is more incensey dry than autumny. In the autumn category imo burberry london and the masterpiece ombre noire from lalique are very suited for the season. Greetings
I don't like fall or winter, absolutely despise cold weather, love spring and summer and here where I live we have only 5 months of mild cold, but I love these fragrances, Ganymede, Hindu Kush and Incident Diplomatique are among my favorites in mi collection. Need to try that Fragrance DuBois. Thanks for the list Sebastian!!!
Have you smelled Paimon by Fântome? Incense, myrrh, coconut, and vanilla- a total fall scent that sounds reminiscent of what you described with Nishane
My husband really loves these kind of scents. Dry and woody and leafy. His favorite style. Although there are a few here I like too. Classy video as usual.
Was expecting to see Lalique's pour Homme Equus EDP in the list. Great woody scent, not exactly smelling like autumn, but then in a way it does, that singular sequoia wood note it has. Lalique Encre Noire itself could also be in the list I think.
Can someone help me? One of my FAVORITE scents is Sì by Armani. I’m learning it’s more of a fall/winter fragrance (it is warm and sweet, but also airy so i figured it passes for year round/signature). Does anyone have any recommendations of fragrances similar to this but more fit for warm weather?
Sebastian, which Atlelier De Ors do you recommend for fall/winter? I have been wanting to try the brand but have yet to get a bottle. I’d like to get one before fall. Thanks. Great vid as always
@@jblackmel That takes the fun away of a blind buy, plus honestly I have had such good luck with Sebastians suggestions that I’d like like to just know one. Thanks for the interest though
@@ThePerfumeGuy yeah i get a really off putting dry rubbery spice that just goes off on me and a few others I’ve seen - I prefer scents that are revolting on purpose in a sexy way whereas this just seems to have gone wrong somewhere imo of course
Can you do a feminine fall scent video😁! Several of my girl friends also are wondering what is good this coming year, especially since we can't always smell them in the stores any more. TY!

Always find it interesting that people in Europe/Americas tend to think of sandalwood as autumn/winter note yet lots of Indian people I speak to consider it a hot weather one.
I associate Sandalwood with hot summer nights!
😁 yes, I am European and Sandal wood is very cozy for cold days.
It has to do with humidity.

I liked Autumn Vibes. It reminds me of a pile of freshly raked dry leaves. You could argue who wants to smell like that, but I found it nice.
I just bought Frank Boclet “Cashmere” and Lutens L’Orpheline (my 4th or 5th bottle) for Fall. Every year, when the season changes, I crave fig notes, for some reason. Tea Noir from Le Labo is a good Fall one for me too.

My daughter too loves Ganymede was a fathers day gift for me and she wears it occasionally and always gets complimented
Your fall and winter list are so unique..loving the note series by you Sebastian

I like the maison margiela coffee break during the fall even more so than autumn vibes. When I think of fall, I think of cozy coffee shops
I agree MAB Ganymede smells like fall to me. Dry but juice too with the fruity touch. Great video.
Ganymede is class apart however do u think its Spring/ Summer appropriate too?.
So glad that you mentioned If. and Ganymede in this video. I've actually been rocking these two the whole summer. I got compliments, not from someone I know, but from total strangers while wearing them.

I just smelled Autumn vibes at sephora a few weeks ago and put it on my list straight away, lol. Fits my style completely.
I like how u sometimes give us some hidden gems . ✌️
Fall is sure around the corner for me Sebastian. This list will come in handy. Thank you.
Yes, cool weather is finally ok’ing back!
Well since Labor Day is the last day of Summer I might go for Penhaligons Empressa or Molton Brown coastal cypress .
For me the best fall scent is Chatillon Lux - Confluence, smells like you are cutting down a Douglas fir tree and throw in some elemi resin! It’s AMAZING! Number two for me is your old reliable, E.N. A lextreme
Autumn comes late for me in Italy but I do love this woody dry style. Jovoy ID is perfect fall scent.
Just ordered Scent of Wood Plum & Cognac and was looking at Oak in Oak
Watching you from my friends house at Muir Beach with a view of the ocean Wherever I go, your reviews go with me.

Smells like fall....I never thought of some of these fragrances smelling like fall but now that you mention it they sure do. LOL. Great topic.
It'd be really nice to have an idea how long these last. Maybe you could mention performance. It's the most important thing I look for.
Do you think encre Noir Extreme is a fall smell?
Nice unisex list.....I enjoy quite a few mentioned 🍂🍁🍁🍂🍂
I know none of these but intrigued by all - thanks for this list! Looking forward to sampling these. 👍

Hello Sebastian Ganymede is winter or Summer Fragrance is better for winter season
I think Ganymede is more Autumn as it feels more like it's made to wear in the Autumn. The other Extrait in the collection is definitely for Winter.
Thank u so much in Pakistan this perfume quantity is very low some Malls and shops this perfume sold out urgent the hype of this perfume so much
Was waiting for this and a different theme? Wooho. Thank you.
Thank you, as always Seb! So helpful and inspiring!

Interesting. I'll have to see if I can find a bottle. :)
Love Autumn scents. Thank you for video.
Korres is having a 40% off everything Labor Day sale.
I don’t see it on their website?

Hurray Autumn is here, well almost. I need to try that Gucci. I like The Voice Of The Snake but didn't tried The Last Day Of Summer.

Good autumn perfume is Serge Lutens Le Participe Passe.
Great Autumn fragrances. Thanks for sharing Sir 👍👍👍
Summer almost over now it's time to pull out the autumn gems. Do we want to smell like fall though? Heck yes. Great suggestions.
🗣🔥🔥🔥💨found 3 to add to my collection
Tampete d'automne from Jacques Fath 🍂🍂🍂
Very good video, Sebastián. I like too much Jovoy Incident Diplomatique and Jacques Fath Tempete d'autonme.
Great list
I enjoyed your choices for fall. You should try Amber kisu

Good morning from Italy...Lp9 for man penhaligons

Myrrh & Tonka jo malon puré November
I find Ganymede revolting tbh but good list
WOW, if you find Ganymede revolting I wonder how you would find fragrances I find revolting? As there are some out there for me too! Hehe! ;)
Seriously Ganymede revolting surprised . I reckon we all have diff sensory perceptions and skin types.
I agree. Absolute scrubber. I like most of this list however.

Go with Saharian wind instead
