James Blunt, great singer and hard to imagine he used to be an officer in the Life Guards Regiment (the ones with who wear the armour with red tunics and ride horses in London). Great track and glad you`ve got around to listening to him, he`s a great soulful singer with so much feeling in his songs. James Blunt's father Charles, himself a kidney donor, was diagnosed with stage four chronic kidney disease. Blunt wrote "Monsters" to "express his feelings about his father and his illness, almost as if it's a touching farewell to his father" and yet another great reaction from you. If you want another James Blunt song you could try his first one `You`re Beautiful` (Squeeky is in tears here)

Thats just their cerimonial job , in their day job they are soldiers and James and his troop were some of the first into Kosovo , one day he stopped a massacre when he was ordered to open fire in his tank on Russian troops , he would have been discharged but actually it was recognized his superior officer was the one in the wrong and he was the one who was reprimanded .
His father was very sick and dying and he is saying goodbye for the last time,he is saying what ever mistakes they have had in their relationship it does not matter just go peacefully

It was his father. He had liver failure and he got a transplant shortly after the release of the song. I’ve heard recently that he has gotten ill again

I'm not your son your not my father is him taking up the mantle also time has passed for any bad blood, in the end love is all that matters . Time is a monster and it can harden us. It cam also heal. It is a song of him saying to his dad, I got you . When my dad past 2 years ago he had COPD and dementia but even in that state he knew his kids, all he'd ever ask I. The end is are you ok. That's all that mattered to him. The day before he passed I whispered to him Pops we are ok and it is ok. So I get what he is saying. There's no titles, wrongs rights it just this moment and it is ok.
I personally don't click on the videos that says first time, it makes me feel they're lying, the whole point of reaction is to watch for the first time, you don't need to caption it. Just my opinion
I understand your point... But when I write first time, I mean my first time ever reacting to that particular singer. When I react to other songs sang by this singer, I don't write "first time" even when it is my first time listening to that particular song.
