My Son is nuts about Jey Uso having only started watching since Netflix started showing. He's 8. He is watching the rumble this afternoon I'm so excited for him! I think that's why he won, kids go nuts for him if he can win this he can win anything in their minds and they will make sure they are watching when he gets the chance
‘They don’t care about professional wrestling’ - Sidge is dead right about modern wrestling (more so WWE) live audiences. It’s the curse of the post-everything era. I always want to will these Takeover style crowds and matches into existence but 2025 is not 2018. AEW gave us that on a plate and now we’ve seen it all. Not that this Rumble tag match was particularly good, but even if they gave them 20 minutes and a decent finish this crowd would never have got up for it, we knew it going into the match.
At one point in the Womens Rumble it seemed like every entant did their initial spots with Bayley before retreating to the corner. Bayley was standing ready on every entrance to take bumps. Uninspiring Rumble match
30:35 it seems that there are less people watching religiously or at the very least less paying attention during the shows. Aside from their few favorites, people are more excited to be at a WWE show rather than actually invested in the stories.
Surprised there was no discussion of The Rock and WM. Really feels like picking Jey to inevitably face Gunther leaves Cody v Rock on the table should he bully his way in and it doesn't mess up Rumble decisions like last year. Especially since you can't get the Rock for more than 6 shows running up to WM. Leaves outs for all the big names as they're feuding after being eliminated or you could promote one (or Cena) to face Cody if Rock doesn't want it.
If sidge hates it I'll probably love it. His genuine disdain for Steph coming out is great! Would love to know what has made that lil dude so angry in life.
My main issue with Jey winning is that he was not part of any of the main rumble build up so it was a poor job building Jey up leading up to it. They kept on teasing punk again and again plus seth, drew, sami, etc and then a random guy wins.
But that’s the point, he’s over and should the winner not sometimes be unpredictable? I had punk or cena winning easily like most years with top stars , but I got welcomingly swerved and they could create another one , it serves better in the long run than stars who only have 1 year or 2/3 years left in them
@@Grim19931803then he should have been a bigger part of the buildup to the rumble.....I feel let down because of the time I invested on TV on all these rumble stories. Again Jey winning is fine but should have been in more of a discussion and interacting with other leading up to the rumble.
Naw I think they played it up right. In a star studded royal rumble full of main eventers, u came out with one more than u had when u started the show 🤷🏿♂️
You have many fans I think don't know what they want. They yeet when jeyuso comes out yet when he wins they have a problem with it. Not many can honestly say they thought he would win
What if it’s not the studios fault but the wrestlers themselves just have horrid taste in music? Like they did produce Roman’s first theme and a few others. Maybe it’s just the wrestlers that feel they’re good and run with it.
Jay winning was such a good call. The crowd looooove him and have been following his story for years. Him finally overcoming Gunther solo at wrestlmania for the belt will be such a massive reward to the people who have invested so much into him.
Should’ve had Jey eliminate Logan instead of Cena then. Wouldn’t had people scared they’d give it to Logan, and then boom, Jey wins and the reaction would’ve been even better.
I couldn’t disagree more. I did not think this would have been received positively by these guys. I wanted punk to win sure but I still would have accepted Roman or Cena, even Sami!
Starts @1:44
*Tips hat*
This restored the possibility that anyone can win the Rumble. Normally there's only 1 or 2 potential winners.

I blame your son for the rise of Jey. This generation's Cena. Grown men are going to hate on him.
@falconarrow I blame him for eating the last of the chocolate cereal but don't think I can pin the rise of Jey Uso on him as well 🤣
@@falconarrow Pretty sure that's Cody, not Jey.
If the Stephanie thing upset you that much you need to go touch some grass.
Did anyone else notice well I actually counted 23 of the women hit a kip up within a minute of entering

I really like the new 'smaller' entrance areas the performers appear from instead of the giant stage they've had for years.
You called me a Statesman….

I noticed the Bayley thing too, every woman that came in hit her signature move on her first thing. She was like the rumble’s gatekeeper
It's a smart move for WWE to NOT license these one off entrance themes.
It's incentive to watch the PPV

Everytime Sidge moans about the fed, it makes me love it more
1:22:38 “vibefu@&er” the next ANL PLE 😂
Everytime I see Sidge, it makes me question my fashion choices in 2009.

Cody has to work with Cena or Rock.
Those are the only choices.
Who should have been the poplular winner of the women's rumble, and why is it Alex Bliss?
If sidge hates it I'll probably love it. His genuine disdain for Steph coming out is great! Would love to know what has made that lil dude so angry in life.
Same question for Cena, Seth, HHH, The Undertaker, etc.
AEW being crap, most likely

I agree that they didn't make it on obvious that Jey was winning but he's over AF
"Random guy" you're the person they were talking about in the pod
