Really nice job. Only a small comment; since you were doing most of your work on the EQ, might have been cool to stay in full screen mode. Maybe, maybe not. Just a thought. I started watching on my phone, but then switched to my computer to see better. 😊😊😊😊😊 Thanks again, really great tips !!
If you invert the EQ Matching you can quickly create separation between elements (eg. kick and bass - EQ Match your Bass to the Kick and then change the gain so it's opposite)
Patrik Babic, here are two great videos on the subject (from the makers of this plugin). ua-cam.com/video/LnfzYjFEzmE/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/q09zvPrSFiA/v-deo.html
you are an inspirational teacher who opens doors others did not think were there , only because you're logic, simple and passionately pedagogical. I do not say this often. This video was so good it made me subscribe, I am excited to see what more tips and tricks you can teach me about new plugins! Btw here are some suggestions that I believe alot of your fans would like to see you make a plugin tutorial about, Serum, Sylenth1, fabfilter saturn, and maybe valhalla
when you are equing using the piano roll you are basically equing using harmonics (not because the eq feature but the approach) . Ex; Kick drum is at the key of B1 =60hz going an octave up would be B2 =120hz , next oct is B3=240hz...an so on. To use this approach is very important to have on account #1 The key of the song #2 What is the fundamental frequency of the kick and bass. And #3 What really serves the song.
Good video, thanks for sharing recommend making the plugin the focus on screen so we don’t see the DaW as a massive backdrop and the plugin being tiny especially on a phone device.
Hey. Does it hurt the mix leaving the Autogain button on? Or you just using it for checking things and than you click it off and taking down the volume by hand? Great vid mate !
Doesn't hurt the mix at all, it just takes away the added volume created by EQ boosts. Allows our ears to seprate coloration additions vs. volume additions.
This is awesome! I'm learning to record and use EQ ... I need frequency ear training. Can you help me to learn where the frequency is to be in commercial mixes (for Sync) and how to hear the EQ ranges for each instrument and more detail on how to side chain 2 instruments in the same range?
Hi Debra, look, there's a good EQ called "EQ Wise by Abletunes" it is a nice and intuitive eq that will help you so much because it gives you options on how to apply such frequency in each kind of instrument, at the same time you learn the applicability of frequency as well as use it properly. The other questions I don't know how to answer them, but I hope I could have helped you.
You're really great. This is very useful. Your channel has the potential to be very big.. you do this just as professionally as the top channels do. Keep it up, you will grow. subbed
no one rtfm's anymore. Even an old guy like me finds this here easier. As it happens I DID and DO rtfm but missed one of these completely. Thanks Very Much. Regards, your Dad.
hello, I could really use your help. my display is different. I can't see the black upper part you use at min 10:00 for sidechaining. how do you activate that display?a tip for that would be very useful. awesome video btw, thanks for posting.
having the same issue, did you ever figure it out? I'm using ableton not sure if that is why I'm not seeing the sidechain option

@eLania and @Peter Kelly, for ableton, go to your kick track and do the following: postimg.cc/image/t70hmxmh9/ 1) Select what you will be sidechaining, 2) select fabfilter plugin 3) go back to your bass fabfilter plugin and adjust your eq.
Great Vid. I din't know about the EQ matching. Is there a shortcut for making the first band a low cut band without having to select it in the drop the menu? All the best. George.
Does your ProQ2 have the side chain option(not the PRE POST SC), but the actual side chain drop down menu cuz you have ProQ open in your DAW? I'm running it in Maschine and it doesn't give that option:/ thoughts?
Pre + Post....isnt better just use the Pre mode...so that way you can only see the problem and then just hear the results ? instead of making adjustments using 100%the visual thing?
Love your video so much but i have to say please increase your speaking volume or decrease the music, im getting a headache but thank you for this, better than nothing

It certainly offers some of the best control and surgical precision out of any EQ on the market.
Awesome man!!! Especially #6 and #7 thank you!!!
I literally needed this video 2 hours ago. Now I know how to fix my issue. Thanks 👍🏻

Good Job on the multiple 7's, could have been 8, but no, you saved the day.
Good video, thanks for sharing

will def do this moving forward!

Manoel Ricardo Thank you! Does this EQ recommendation work with Logic Pro X?
@@JewishRockMusic Hi Debra, Yes! It works, also it works with other Daws, the only DAW that EQ Wiser doesn't work is Pro tools
Check out Trackspacer as well for this! Gullfoss is also amazing.
this was super helpful! thank you!
That's what we're here for :)
Nice vid, subbed

In most DAWs you can just set the EQ however you want it once, and then 'save as default' and it will load that way each time :)
Music Production Alliance double click the low end and it will automatically be a low cut band~
This black bar upwards showing the sidechain option just works on Logic? Im using Ableton e that doesn't apear for me. :/

Maybe we should define the term “producer“. But still great tips.

3:56 "Spetrum" Grab Mode? :D :D :D 9:45 Step 7? I think that was step 6. :D :D :D
