I have heard people say they sound like Bowie, Boston, AC/DC, Rush, Queen, Guns and Roses, etc. So far no accusations that they sound like The Turtles, Tiny TIm, or Leonard Cohen.
I remember when I was 13 years old, listening to this kind of music.. they were old enough to be my parents.. NOW I hear these youngsters YOUNG enough to be my kids , maybe even grand kids!! Thank you for bringing back awesome music!!!
My 16 year old daughter just asked me to listen to them to see if I thought they were Rock enough for her to use for her History of Rock N Roll class. An hour later I'm still listening to them and getting her to listen to Led Zeppelin, Rush, and the Eagles and some Queen.
I was worried about this album. They seemed not to like the “you sound like Led Zeppelin” issue, and I was afraid that forced them to change their style and became mediocre. As if it was a shame to sound like LZ in an era that everything sounds like bs. But they certainly found a way for their own style and still sounding freaking awesome. I’m sooo happy, I hope they keep being humble and working hard so we get a dozen albums from them. And yeah, I also love this song in particular.
@@pedrosarrico6948 I agree they shouldn't be worried about that, but I also think they don't sound like them anymore. Still kinda similar, but not that much.
Carlos Barrio They still sound like Led Zeppelin. The rip off bands of the past would last about 1 year. Fortunately for GFV it has been so long since there was LZ studio album that they are still going strong.
All that ‘sounding like zeppelin’ means is, Rock n Roll done beautifully. Songs with powerful drums, soulful and technical melodic bass guitar/keys, godly guitar playing and a crazy ranged vocal performance from the front man. None of that is attached to LZ anyone can do it! I’m so happy Greta Van Fleet exist!
At the beginning though, it's led zeppelin of course, but when I listen more and more I realized that they are Greta Van Fleet , they have their own sound, I'm in love with their music, they are great. Feeling like the first time I listened to Pearl jam, They are amazing.

Unfortunately my best friend said that their music is “too slow and sad” to be good. He prefers country and 90’s metal. But this is the BEST band I’ve ever heard.
I truely can't pick a favorite in the album, every track is so beautiful written. They're sound definitely evolved from when I first started listening, love every second of it. Thank you Greta Van Fleet for delivering yet again.

@@zackychan1922 When someone calls this album a "masterpiece" it shows their limited knowledge of rock and roll. I know younger people want to embrace something from their own generation and make it their and that's fine, but if this album had come out in the late 60s or early 70s it probably would have gotten pretty much ignored compared to all of the other great rock and roll that was out at that time. I give them credit for trying to bring back some pure rock and roll.
