Tbh I found it to be a bit of a let down, there was alot more they could've played around with on a larger scale but it never really went anywhere that great
The EGG have always been one of the best stories in DSMP. The confict between tommy and Dream was also good, same with Techno's story and the syndicate. But the EGG story have always been interesting and one of the stories that got to much hate in my eyes, As I know people complained about the Egg being such an different path in the story, and a lot of people didn't like it. I really liked the EGG story, and feel it is one of the best stories to come out of DSMP, easily taking one of the top 3 spots of stories in DSMP.
@@aaronimp4966 well first of all.. its an total mystery, no one knows what it is, or what's inside it. Secondly.. its ability to corrupt people is very neat kind of story bit, creates good interactions between characters. And I always been more interested in supernatural stuff in stories then the down to earth stuff. And also.. its more horror themed, which I also like.
What I liked about this part of the DreamSMP was that everyone had some creative control with their own lore in supplement to the main story with Tommy V. Dream as written by Wilbur. If you were following the lore of Ponk, Puffy, AntFrost, Hannah or BadBoyHalo from the beginning, this could be seen as an alternative ending to the DreamSMP story. Almost like a bad ending in a videogame. With Technoblade's death and the lack of will for a season 2, the Egg Ending not only perfectly ends their arcs but also gives them all a send off that you would never expect to see in the main conflict.
I cant really explain it, but I feel like in Bad's final living moments, he could hear the egg say through puffy: "And so the last candle is snuffed out. And with it... has come time for me to spread my wings... and rain chaos upon this world."
Wow that was... really a sad ending i didnt expect that! but still i cant stop but admire the 5 star writting and how it was planned! also really good job with making these videos!

This is an absolute masterpiece. For feedbacks, I hoped that you would include Puffy's actual monologue, Callahan, or Sam Bucket just coming out of nowhere after sealing himself, which are all on the lore. That would have been greater.

The Egg Arc will always be one of my favorites for so many reasons. I loved the supernatural aspect of everything about it and you have done nothing but strengthen that love for it even more. I’m honestly amazed by this, in awe of everything. Well done, Evan, well done.
I always love the Egg arc the most. I don‘t really know why, I just really loved the idea behind this unexplainable thing that you either love or hate. It was incredible. I also REALLY liked the angst that came with it, with all these friendships destroyed and there just not being a happy ending.

This literally feels like a classic H.P. Lovecraft story. The existential dread, the eldritch abomination winning in the end, it's amazing really. You really sold the story with "it's a burning memory playing in the background" and the script structure of this video. All I wished was some audio excerpts from the stream in exchange of some of the narration but other than that, good job, man! The DSMP is dead and buried, yet you still insist on doing these videos. That's dedication right there.

You have NO idea how long I have been waiting for this edit: I finished the video and that reveal of skeppy had me in SHOCK. And great improvement in video making!
Realizing and reflecting on the chaos that happened here, nobody seems to be left. All the side characters Bad, Skeppy, and even Awsuman have fallen to this egg. The server has been afflicted with a miserable curse, and the fate of the people, or the heart, of this server has been decided. They all died. And Dream, Tommy, Tubbo, Philza, Rambo, Jimmy, Corpse, and maybe even Technoblade were the only ones left. It’s such a shame. All these well written characters we’re helplessly killed off by an abomination we never even knew the true character of.

In Sam/Boomer's lore finale showed the server was dominated by the EGG. The white out incident in Tommy/Tubbo's lore was not caused by nuke but other thing. They had planned to explain it in DSMP2 but we will not know truth anymore since DSMP2 is officially dead.

Words once spoken, by a different man, in a different time, in a different situation, how useful those words could have been had SeaPeaK remembered them. Striking down each other is exactly what had happened in the tragedy of Sam Bucket.

I just finished watching karl's story witch was in my "watch later" playlist for months then i realise there is skyfall so i watch it to and now i see that its next part was announce what a timing

Wow. That was something. Obviously, you knocked the storytelling out of the park. I will say that the ending does leave me frustrated. If this is how the story ends, and the next installment is the last of the Dream SMP, then it’s basically a cliffhanger that either never gets resolved or could be retconned with a lackluster ending (whatever came out was killed by the nukes). Random tangent, but it reminded me of how the Hulu MODOK series ended. It teased how the Board of AIM was going to be the next big bad, but the next episode, MODOK conquers the entire world and the series is cancelled, so do they matter anymore? Were they just defeated? I don’t know. And just like with that, it seems we’ll never know what happens here. Once again, very well made. Can’t wait to see how you finish this series.
