Halo 3 flood was my favorite because melee was finally an option but they seemed a little weak compared to the insane health of halo and halo 2 flood. Hated that on normal halo CE flood took 10 melee hits and halo 2 flood took 20 to kill. Halo 2 bodys were way harder to destroy making a nightmarish panic to either take out the spores or the bodys before they flooded the room again

I would love a perfect balance between halo 2 and 3 flood, make it have more melee resistance than regular versions of the infected enemy but not like an amount that takes away the feeling of being a spartan when you melee them. I really want to become a modder...
@@lostinthewoods1267 It made perfect sense lore wise to be melee sponges: Infection forms use corpses as puppets. Combat forms are not "alive", they don't need to keep a connected nervous system or circulatory system to keep fighting, they are animated puppets. A superhuman punch might kill a normal living things because of internal bleeding or organ failure, but flood combat forms don't need anything except their tentacles to control thier hosts. In that sense, a "spartan punch" wouldn't really enough to kill a flood combat form unless you literally punched it to pieces (which would take 10-20 punches -- Exactly how it was in Halo 2). Gameplay wise it was better too. Flood are supposed to feel swarmy, but the huge nerfs they got for Halo 3 made it too easy to kill them all so that you never felt overwhelmed. 10 combat forms from Halo 2 felt more swarmlike than 15 in Halo 3 because the Halo 3 flood were so weak. I think flood need to be more spongey and like Halo 2 again. Halo 3's nerfs were a mistake.

Hmm... I'm starting to gain an idea for a really overpowered elite... So, idea is a Halo Reach field marshal, but with Halo 1 stats (improved to take into account the fact that he's a field marshal and not just a normal zealot) with the Evade armor ability, dual wielding Halo CE plasma pistols!
