Thanks for the review, I am looking at the Rift as the Xudos Ultra 2's are great comfort but the uppers just fall apart. Some suggestions that going up a half size in these helps with the toe bumper issue? or do you think its really a lock down issue with the lace set up?
Thank you. For me this was the most disappointing trail shoe of the dozen or so models I tried last year. Made the mistake of wearing them on a 15-miler up and down Mt. Rosalie, a 13 K’ mountain west of Denver. The grip on dry granite was tricky, but when it rained became unsafe. Any number of Vibram Megagrip-clad competitors would have had no issues, as I know from past excursions. I sent them back immediately.
Yeah this shoes hasn’t been designed with climbing & descending or with wet rock in mind. It’s a shame because it’s an otherwise comfortable trail runner - they’re just best tamed on mild trails. Maybe the next version will fix some of the issue I highlighted.
Let me know if you have any questions 👋🏼 or just say hello 😊
These ones surprised me!
Perfect review, thanks.
Thank you! ✌🏼
Did tightening the laces help for the steep downhills?
To a certain degree but I still feel the inside of that solid toe bumper on my big toes. A Shame
I suggest relacing using the outer loops over the forefoot (they are kind of hidden, but the 2 nylon straps have an outer pass through).
Good tip! Thanks

Thank you! I don’t think sizing up is a good idea, you’d be better off working on changing up the lacing style to get a batter lock-in
These seem lighter than the edge which I think has the plate. Does anyone have a comparison please 🙏
I haven’t tested the edge yet but will try and get a hold of a pair for review

They are also not very stable, because of the softish foam and tall lugs. Prone to ankle rolls.
These are super stable actually. Do you run or just comment on videos?
@@JB-hq9yj Well that's just like your opinion bruh. Who are you exactly?
@@RowOfMushyTiTI’m someone who actually ran in this shoe talking to someone who clearly hasn’t.
While I value everyone’s opinion, and love to hear it. It’s definitely a stable shoe.
@@JB-hq9yjAnd you know this how?
