How much memory is needed to be available in the OS, in order for the options "-XX:+HeapDumpOnOutOfMemoryError -XX:HeapDumpPath={mypath}" to work in PROD like environment? We have them and have tried this in a DEV environment (within an Azure K8s cluster) and somehow is not working. Sadly we do not see anything in the pod logs that could give us a hint why it has not work
This example is pretty easy, and it is useful. Could you show some case that is hard to found, so we can learn from cases when MAT didn't show you memory leak and you find it.
Does the heap dump points out exact method where the issue is ??
