Even though 747s are starting (slowly) to become old and outdated aircraft, they are truly the symbol of the commercial aviation industry, and I respect that and am saddened whenever I hear that an airline retires theirs. Great filming, and thanks for posting this.
I flew b-16403 and b-16405 between Taipei and LAX a few times a few years ago. They were old birds and were showing their age. They were replaced with 777's on the passenger routes. I was told they were converted to cargo and are still flying.
The Boeing 747 became favorite airplane ever since I saw for the first time back in 197? I honestly think that the 747 is the right size airplane and I hope the big airlines realize that soon. Personally I think the A380 is just a bit too big and most big airlines are buying it just because is the "new" thing around and as a symbol of power and status. 747 forever.

Don’t know why airlines purchase the A380 over the 747. It’s sad to see the 747s being phased out. Such an iconic and beautiful aircraft.

AerSale acquired 23 744 so far and resold 11 , store 9, scrapped 3. Good chance this ship will fly again with another carrier.
Yes, their freighter fleet is younger than their passenger/combi, they should be around bit longer
