I recently did my first rounds of crystalline conflict for a weapon to use in a glam, and it was a huge shock to jump in from playing solely PvE (yes, i also set up my hotbars during my first match). Is there any chance that you would make PvP XHB guides in the future? Your RDM, DRG, and DRK XHB guides really allowed me to start enjoying XIV to the fullest.
you have very limited pvp skills, but while there aren't that many they do have a lot of additional stack-y damage or buff kind of stuff, so I really recommend you spend some time familiarizing yourself with them completely. You can get all of them on less than a set of controller buttons, and have room for mounts, which do come in really handy.
Thanks for this helpful vid! Also, it's always great to see your face. I hope you're happy and healthy, and the new home is everything you wanted it to be!!! ❤
My favorite is summoner. Also I picked up PvP super late after ShadowBronger content and also regret it. It’s surprisingly fun especially with the updates to Crystal conflict.
One of the best crowd control roles in the game - esp in front lines. It’s my go to in FL - not so much in CC as once you get higher most good teams will purposely target / pick off SMN. Your team has to be really good at positionals for you to survive against vet players. (From my own exp)
I just started last season to get the Tomes but wish I’d started earlier for the mounts, etc. I can’t say I really enjoy it - too many stunlocks I think, but the xp is good for alt jobs. I’ve been playing White Mage and Bard mostly, with WHM being fairly strong.
One thing I wish I'd started early on? Frickn LEVES!! Makes me sad thinking about how many I threw away because overcap. Someone mathed it at about 7 years to complete the achievement tab without capping. Probably wasted around 1.5 years by now... Which reminds me, I'm prob capped right now! 😅
PVP frontline can be fun if you can handle watching people be completely oblivious to the objective. You may not win but you can still have fun and utilize most of the roles toolkits. CC on the other hand can be maddening as those same oblivious people have a far larger impact on a match (as it’s only 5v5). In a bad match you will also not get to enjoy a lot of the job roles as you will be continuously steamrolled in the 30 second match. Most classes are made in a way that it’s not easy (some impossible) to kill 1v1 never mind 1v2/3/4/5. The matches are also very RNG based in the lower levels. (Where 1 team doesn’t even stand a chance) I cannot recommend CC to anyone unless they use a particular set of jobs which simply shows how broken and bad most of FFXIV PVP is. I play it quite often but I am one to rarely get tilted.. if you get sour easily, avoid it like the plague. (Esp CC)

Uhuhu I completely agree with you Bosu ; - ; I just recently got addicted to PVP.
nice to see that your feeling better.
I am!
I only dabble in PVP but the one I tend to fall back on when I play is White Mage.
I’ve never done that job, but they always turn me into a little guy lol
@@BunBossFFXIV If there's one thing PvP in WoW taught me, it's the value of crowd control, and that's what WHM offers.

Welcome back! :)
My favorite PVP job is RDM. I've played solely on RDM for PVP for well over a year. Just love the changes and its such a fast paced playstyle.
I like blackmage and scholar for pvp my comfy picks now if i want to feel like dookie i play darknight because i suck at drk in pve and pvp lol.
