Im an 8th grade trumpet player and my middle schools honors wind ensemble is playing this, I'm playing the first trumpet part and it is so hard! But great song!! Its a lot of fun to play and even if your band isn't playing it, you should find the music and learn it!! Love this song!
I love this song. My band teacher told me (a Choir nerd) he needed me in band so he could have a percussionist who could read music (LOL). This was the first song I had to do, and I had all four mallet parts to myself!!! Intense.
Incredible!!! how much time was put into this piece?!?!?!?!?!?!?! I love James swearingen especially his piece Excalibur TRUMPETS ARE THE BEST ESPECIALLY IN OVERTURES
our band has this piece in the first lineup, this piece is cool, kinda hard at my case because I play the horn in Eb, the piece was in F... got to transpose
For 8th grade promotion, we played this song at that speed, too. In my opinion, it sounds better that way :P. But that's just my opinion. Still, great video!!
8th grade year. . .B/2 rating. i'm trying to conduct this for the end of the year concert. . . which is 2 days from now. . .i found out 2 days ago. . . never conducted before. xD *dead*

how i missed the brassband.. hey! check out the part of the clarinet..maybe clar is not that popular but i'm proud i can play it well. sax is easy than clarinet..if u dunno..
While you might not enjoy a piece, it is rude the way you expressed such dislike. You might have simply said that it is not one of the songs you enjoy, and he is a composer you aren't exactly fond of, but *you're ( @burnsyboy1918 ) not dumb.
My band is playing this at Central District festival in NC...and basically yall need a cymbal player in the fast part... and accents...Don't hear them. everything else was perfect.
DON'T TAKE THIS THE WRONG WAY Was this in japan or something cuz all I saw was Japanese(I think) players so of course this piece was played 5/5! Compared to this school my school sucks... really. Anyway that was great!
You know what. I play this song on competition. and win. but my band are only the band that send on competition on my area. Lol second round I was lose.
damn that was a long time ago. . . i didn't bother looking at youtube comments. D: anyway. . .i copied mostly what he did and it worked out fine. . . i want a chance to conduct again though. i kept flipping my fucking bangs and i could have been a little more enthusiastic with my conducting. =/ oh well. . .
