If Komova was healthy, Spiridonova would not have made it to the team and Aliya might've settled for silver but I'm happy Aliya got her well deserved second consecutive Olympic title on bars. Looking forward for her 3rd Olympic bars gold.
Sadly the thing is Komova is never healthy or never hits during the most important competitions of her life. So its virtually impossible for your statement to be true.
I don't know. I could see them still taking her over Seda. I know she is only a bars specialist but they could just have a super bars team of 3 huge scoes and Seda did not add much to the team anywhere. Komova could EASILY replace her beam and floor, and Melnikova doesn't have pressure to do AA in prelims now.
if Maddie had a pike jaeger as her release she could have won. Aliya's Start value is at 16.8 and Maddie had a 16.7 another E element on Maddies routine would be a gold performance. no hate I love aliya, its just that I cant help thinking about it.
Actually, in the 2013-2016 quad both piked and straddled jaegers were valued at D, so it didn't really matter. The piked jaeger was upgraded in the 2017-2020 cop.
Pike Jaeger was rated as a "D" in 2013 - 2016 COP. They only upgraded it to an "E" in the most recent COP. So it wont make a difference. In fact, Aliya's routine is 0.2 higher than Maddie's in 2017-2020 COP. Since Pike Jaeger is an "E" element now.
Tim Daggart talking about the 2 per country rule being unfair is sooooo funny. Er, the USA were one of the countries pushing for that rule back in the day the soviets and Eastern European's ruled. Typical arrogance of an American (not all Americans) to want to change the rules back now it would suit them. I think the rule is correct. Otherwise it would be totally boring. The USA has a real advantage of good quality gyms everywhere and the college system makes it worth training even if you aren't Olympic or WC level. So they have a big advantage over other countries but we need to see gymnasts from more than the USA. Just as in the past it was good to see gymnasts from countries other than the USSR.
Exactly what happened in table tennis as well. China took all medals at the Beijing Olympics and they have 2 per country rule since then. No one said a word. lol

This bar final was such a snooze compared to 2012. Every routine the exact same.
Jessica's routine was actually pretty unique
Lol Madison always lands with her feet apart to cheat the landing. Those should not count as sticks
She incurs a 0.1 deduction for that anyways, so it's not like she's actually gaining anything by sticking her landing with legs apart.
If you land with your legs stuck together it can cause injury
Natalie Hanka then why do almost all other gymnasts land with their feet together
@@nathalieng4984 she's got very bad ankles so its mostly protection for her. Most other gymnasts can land with feet together or close together because they're ankles aren't literal glass lol
You're ignorant. Bye.
USA athletes show some good sportsmanship, too bad that one commentator cannot muster a praise for athletes from other countries. Could we fire him already?
Where are you from?
If Komova was healthy, Spiridonova would not have made it to the team and Aliya might've settled for silver but I'm happy Aliya got her well deserved second consecutive Olympic title on bars. Looking forward for her 3rd Olympic bars gold.
Kim Williams what happened to Komova?
Sadly the thing is Komova is never healthy or never hits during the most important competitions of her life. So its virtually impossible for your statement to be true.
I don't know. I could see them still taking her over Seda. I know she is only a bars specialist but they could just have a super bars team of 3 huge scoes and Seda did not add much to the team anywhere. Komova could EASILY replace her beam and floor, and Melnikova doesn't have pressure to do AA in prelims now.
Still cant pronounce Mustafina's name correctly.

if Maddie had a pike jaeger as her release she could have won. Aliya's Start value is at 16.8 and Maddie had a 16.7 another E element on Maddies routine would be a gold performance. no hate I love aliya, its just that I cant help thinking about it.
difficult routine of aliya makes big factor in the eyes of the judges.and she always performs it just like her basics
I highly agree with you on that one. Nevertheless they are both wonderful gymnast nodoubt
No one said a word. lol
Kocians was so overscored🤮
Commentators to US gymnast : Pack with difficulties bla bla bla..
commentators to Russian : it was good but that tiny little hop on the landing...
Bias af
melvin lenn They were being positive, what the fuck? Y’all try waaaay too hard to prove a “bias” lmaoooo
@@bagelized positive to the US team yes,,, watch the same event but with British commentators and hear the difference
@@bagelized When British commentators comment, they say it fairly. But when Americans comment, they hardly say anything good about non-American athletes. #FACT
@@meplenn I don’t know if you closed your ears during the commentary but he praises non-American gymnasts a lot here and criticizes Kocian’s handstand positions as well. I’m not even American, so I don’t know what you’re trying to achieve by trying to argue otherwise.
Not saying Aliya didn’t deserve to win, but I would be interested to see her deductions compared to Kocian’s.
I agree. Not sure they deducted for the step on the landing.
It would be interesting to see why aliya got more deductions then kocian bitch not the other way around
@@fatbitch4311 & Nina Zuccaro
From what I can see :
Aliya's errors POSSIBILITY : angle on Inbar 1/1 (-0.1), leg sep and bent arms on Komova 2 (-0.2), angle on Pak (-0.1), leg sep on Pike Jaeger (-0.1), angle on the handstand 1/2 (-0.1), angle on Toe-On 1/1 (-0.1), relaxed foot on Dismount (-0.1) and step on landing (-0.1) => -0.9 so 15.9 !!!!
Madison's errors POSSIBILITY : angle on Inbar 1/1 (-0.3), flexed feet and bent arms on Straddle Jaeger (-0.2), angle and leg sep on the handstand 1/2 (-0.2), angle on Straddle 1/1 (-0.1) and (IT DEPENDS ON VIEW JUDGE) leg sep on landing (-0.1) => -0.8/-0.9 so 15.833 with the average judges' scores !!!!
Fat Bitch Fucking relax. I just said Aliya deserved to win. Her pirouettes are spectacular as are her releases. Kocian’s performance was also fantastic, so I’d be interested to know if difficulty was ultimately the deciding factor. RELAX.
Gaod Rob damn that’s impressive! Either way, I feel like nobody can beat Aliya when it comes to the handstands. She could do 5 turns and still be right on top of the bar. I hope we see her in Tokyo!
This podium is absolutely dreadful.
Great gymnastics, terrible commentators!
3:36 I think This is so disgusting
Why?
Why
Whatever helps her stay on bars
i think it was hot.
I swear Madison copied the entire routine of Aliya, get yourself a personality, thank you.
Kocian should have won gold.
No
Sorry but i gotta say nothing would have pleased me more than to see Mustafina taken down by Kocian, Or anyone for that matter. I really would have loved seeing Seitz medal.
Madason was so much better
You obviously don’t know anything about gymnastics if you think she was better
@@maia9056 i meant she was better then then she is now bc of her shoulder injury
KOCIAN’s ROUTINE WAS GOLD STATUS.........just sayin 💁🏽♀️. Her hand stands were excellent , slight deductions tho but definitely deserved a better score and she just flew through those bars #goldforkocian
Nope
@@heyrayray29th Nope
Kocian copied mustafina's routine..
Lol kocian was short on almost every handstand
Kocian was short on every handstand and had flexed feet on her release unlike Mustafina
