Riverdale is an American teen drama television series based on the characters by Archie Comics. It was ordered to series at The CW in May 2016, and the 13-episode first season premiered on January 26, 2017, and concluded on May 11, 2017. It was adapted for television by Archie Comics' chief creative officer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and executive produced by Greg Berlanti. On March 7, 2017, The CW renewed the series for a second season.
The show features an ensemble cast based on the characters of Archie Comics, with KJ Apa in the role of Archie Andrews, Lili Reinhart as Betty Cooper, his next door neighbor who also happens to be crushing on him, Camila Mendes as Veronica Lodge, his new love interest that just strolled into town and Cole Sprouse as Jughead Jones, his ex-best friend and the narrator of the show. The show also features Ashleigh Murray as Josie McCoy, the lead singer of the Pussycats, and Madelaine Petsch as Cheryl Blossom, the twin sister of Jason Blossom, who is at the center of the series' mystery. Other characters in the show include Fred Andrews, Alice Cooper and Hermione Lodge, the parents of Archie, Betty, and Veronica respectively.

Shu Ss I love Varchie and Bughead, and while there may not be any love triangles, I doubt they'll be able to make it throughout the season without breaking up. It's just unrealistic that they won't, especially on The CW where the couples always break up at least once. Also, Toni Topaz and Veronica's ex-boyfriend will be showing up, so they'll probably interfere with the couples.

Riverdale has to be by far the worst TV show I have ever seen in my entire life. I cannot think of anything as lame as Riverdale. I love Archie comics. I was looking forward to this show based on Archie. And it's like pretty much anything Hollywood that will take something, and mess it up really bad. And in this case, really really bad. It's like EA games to a comic book, and made it into a TV show. That is how bad.
Even if you look at the show for itself without knowing anything about the comic book. It is soooooooo bad. The characters, the story, every scene. It's like wtf yyyy???? I probably made it through to some of the second episode before abandoning it. The good thing about this show is that if you ever drink bleach or poison and you need to immediately regurgitate, just put it on, and watch.
OMFG I just looked this show up, and watched the trailer. Based on the trailer alone, it's easy to tell Riverdale is a complete rip of PLL. And a shite one.
