Damn this years game sucked so much more than I realized... The meta regressed and went backwards towards the end of the season. Even the autons sucked
@@Cytomicc Compare these autons to In the Zone round robin, or Turning Point Round Robin or TowerTakeover Signature Events. The top teams are only slightly better than teams in summer and thats only because they added a few piston mechanisms. Im not hating I'm just disappointed that this years vex game didn't have nearly as high of a skill ceiling as older v4 vex games. The autons are especially sad considering that teams literally have to do nothing but go forwards and backwards...If i was competing it would be incredibly deflating to put in over 100's of hours into a robot only for vex to put out a terrible game that feels more like a coin toss on who is going to win regardless of each alliances skill.
@@Cytomicc I'm not hating on people, I am definitely hating on the game. but yea its also super sad to not have a slow consistent version of your middle goal auton when no one else is going for it LMAO.
My hot take that this is because it's a BO1 game where one small mistake can easily cost you everything. Failing a balance, rings under the robot, goal rush didn't work properly in one match and you can't make up the difference? It's over. Therefore, it's not certain that the most polished teams make it forward. Sure, they'll win most of the time against an "inferior" team... but there are a lot of matches before dome.
@@benjimiller8930 1000000% True, I agree. But this years game definitely exasperated the issues of Bo1. Like ITZ worlds was miles better than this even though it also had Bo1, Also Benji I know you got fucked by best of 1 that year in elims when Fuzzy Wuzzy tipped over but atleast most of the round robin teams deserved to have made it. Also wanted to say thank you for your in the zone robot updates, as a freshman at the time those were super inspiring. :)
