I had some serious issues with the game I remember, I don't know if some people had them, but some characters like ogre, heihachi, mokujin/tetsujin never worked when I picked them up, like the game would just freeze forcing me to restart the ps2. No need to tell you how frustrating it is when you had to fight one of them, it'd freeze on the "vs" screen with the images of the fighters, forcing me again to restart everything, however it was one of my first games on ps2 and I loved it, and I actually managed to beat and unlock every characters and secrets, even with this bug. So I never could play "ogre" but I could play "true ogre", it feels weird when I watch videos of "ogre" because he's flying without wings and grab the character by behind without touching him, and I think the true ogre version is one of the best characters and I didn't even care if he had movestyles from other characters
This could be another Ogre and another True Ogre as Ogre's ending in Tekken Tag Tournament 2 confirms that there can be more than one Ogre. Outside the lore, I think they couldn't be bothered to create a transformation for Ogre and True Ogre since it has to look natural and it would most likely look weird if they tried to make one so it's better to just let them tag out for their partner. That and Ogre only transforms into True Ogre if he is "defeated" like what happened to him after losing to Paul Phoenix in 3.
You are correct, he's a boss that uses other peoples moves. I think he has 2 original moves but it's something I've always disliked about him. For how awesome he looks his playstyle is lame and he deserves to have his own moveset, in TTT2 I thought they would change it but they kept it the same.
@@Rromantiq Some of Ogre's original moves? He emits some flaming aura around his body that will damage you if you touch him. Has a parry move that will damage you. Has a throw that grabs you by the neck and chokes you with one arm. Has a throw that levitates you and slams you around like a ragdoll. As True Ogre Breathes fire out of his mouth Can fly, teleport and go into a dive attack Crushes enemies with his snake for an arm.
Not bad... Although you could have had a faster/better finisah time if you werent trying to constanstanly in some stages trying to go round the back of the oppenent and trying to pull off that throw all the time.. my fastest is 7:01 with ogre and true ogre, Ps how comes you had 2 movies at the end? on the original version u dont, u only get the one for the chracter you finish as...
Yeah my playthroughs won't be like that anymore where I try looking for the throw at the end of the match, I see how annoying that looks but I just edit in the 2nd movie whenever I beat the game for the convenience of the viewer.
You can't download this on ps3 unless you have a jailbroken ps3, otherwise you need the disc... you can run it on pcsx2 tho which is a emulator but tekken tag is a very hard game to run on an emulator unless you have top end gaming rig with high specs
