thank you for this video. Great dancers.
She definitely deserves it. Very stable and expert. She knows how to deal with subtle expressions and small mistakes while taking care of the audiences...great partnership, costumes and choreography. Ballet is an art not all about techniques..
she is inexpressive
Such subtlety in her performance. I'm surprised she only got silver! She is a remarkable dancer.
She's even a principal dancer in POB right now. :)
Great performance, with stunning harmony of the two and perfect coordination and partnerships. But Jeremy-Loup made some mistakes. Great pirouettes and rotations but some difficulties in jumps. Hannah is wonderful.
and she win silver ???? nothing special at all ...sorryyy..
Yes nothing special
What choreography is this? I know it's not the Nureyev despite the slightly excessive arm flourishes and rather petite and complex sequencing, but this is most definitely not the Petipa-Ivanov pas de deux in its entirety. I believe the girl was great in the sense that while neither her adagio or variation were outstanding, underneath the bizarre choreography lies a dancer with artistic and technical talent in addition to great feet and extension. The guy's partnering was admirable and he interacted very well with the ballerina during the adagio, it made you believe they were in love. His variation however, lacked the charisma he brought to the adagio. It also contained assemble en tournant envelope instead of traditional double saut de basques, which I think, was a bad move considering how clean his double saut de basque was in the adagio and how he hopped his landings in the assembles. However, the choreography was as it was and was put together poorly at that. In addition the Varna stage, while an honor to dance on is not a great one for space or condition based on the dimensions and previous videos I have seen of other dancers struggling on it. Two great dancers which put forth a valiant effort to cope with poor choreography and bad conditions.
+Ben Strong It's the Nureyev version as done at Paris Opera Ballet.
I'm sorry but no, despite the costumes which are POB's Nureev ones, the choregra^hy is not strictly the POB Nureev's version.
