actually lots of the makeup they used are some popular kbeauty products. the primer they used is to brighten/whiten skin because of the trends in south korea and korean foundations are known for their pale limited shades. also the style of makeup is meant to be more natural and dewy, that’s why coverage is lighter and the highlighter looks like that.
I hate how they put “cheap” makeup when most these are a little expensive and some are affordable.

The banana blur pang is a base/tone up cream that’s supposed to make your face look bright and pale and by blur they mean it creates a “pale clean” finish ( in korea pale skin is a big beauty standard ☹️) also the chosungah 22 is supposed to be like the Mac strobe cream

It kind of hurt a little when you guys dragged the foundation with the sponge. You’re supposed to lightly pat it into the skin. I prefer the sponge way more than the brush. If you guys would actually research how to use these products and what they are meant for then you wouldn’t have called any of it terrible. The beauty world is so large it would be great if you guys learned more about it since well you know you both are beauty influencers/gurus.

Their are many comments like these, which makes me very happy, but what makes me sad is that there are tons of people on these kinds of comments saying that they're "just having fun" and that there isn't anything wrong with the fact that they are, in a way, bashing an aspect of Korean culture simply because they don't understand it. No I'm not saying they shouldn't be having fun, and no I'm not saying that they are bashing all of Korean culture. What I am saying, is that their ignorance is rather rude.
More people are coming to understand that it's insulting for American makeup companies to not make products for darker skinned people, but I think more people need to realize that it's also insulting to expect makeup from a different country, with different standards, to work like American makeup.
Many, but not all, Americans have a tendency to expect the rest of the world to bend around our culture and lifestyle. That's extremely ignorant and unacceptable. For example, if someone from a different country moves here, yes, they should adapt to some of our culture, but do you expect for them to abbandon theirs completely? The same goes for an American who moves to another country; you should adapt to their culture, but wouldn't you think it absurd if they expected you to give up all of your culture?
(Sorry for the rant turned tangent, I'm just irritated by many Americans, and I have to live with them every day so.... 😂)

Omg Laura these are all Kbeauty products?!! Kbeauty is really known for their skincare and natural beauty. Korean beauty has a limited shade range (mostly light skin tones) which is why the products might have a sort of white cast ❤

I usually love your videos, but please do your research about products first. Some of these brands are korean brands and they have a different beauty standard so their makeup is supposed to have a different appearance and be applied differently. It's supposed to be light coverage, paler in colour, a dewy appearance, and usually only a 'tint' on the lips, they don't usually make full coverage products, so you can't compare it to American brands

Honestly I’ve been watching a lot of your videos and other beauty UA-camr videos and the fact you are using the products wrong and rating them and also misrepresenting them is a disappointment. Korean Foundation’s shades are light because many of them are pale and they think it makes your face more brighten up and not only that Korean beauty is not cheap but they make it affordable with quality.
For these two who have worked with other beauty brands and tested sooooo many products from drugstore to highend, you’d think they know the difference between CHEAP and AFFORDABLE. 🤦🏻♀️ I’m shookt by their ignorance.

But the reason why they "rated it low" is because it didn't work for them. Obviously there's different makeups for different looks and skin shades as well as types. They're just saying how the product worked for them and their experience. Its really going to be different from someone who is fair, has great skin and likes paler and more moisturizing and light natural makeup. There's something different for every person, they're not meaning to be bashing the products, they just are expressing their own terrible results with them.

A little background about Korean makeup since you both looked lost haha. So Korean foundations are mostly cushions (BB/CC) since Korean girls want to achieve a pale skin look, their cushions are lightening and it has less coverage because they don't need coverage (they have perfect skin :))

I don't like seeing K-beauty products in western beauty channel simply bc 1. they are brands that I don't even recognize in my whole Korean life (thus the bad quality), 2. they have different approach on using it. However, Peripera, It's skin, and Chosungah are well respected brands in Korea, and they are worthy brands to be properly introduced to western audience. This is just sad how you guys, as an influencers, introduced K-beauty products as just gimmicky cheap makeup. Not to mention there are many knock offs in Amazon. Jasmin Woods You're not supposed to use a brush, you're supposed to use the bb cushion. Also if you have big pores its not going to look good on you. It's not the makeups fault. I use the peripera ink which is a light lip tint typically used for the gradient lip and I use the bb cushion. Korean makeup is meant to be dewy, not matte.

Cauz a cushion foundation is supposed to be applied with the cushion puff it comes with and k-beauty specifically foundations and concealers and that type are mostly applied using a sponge not a brush, just cauz you like those UA-camrs that doesn't really leave you at place to reply in a sassy way to someone's comment which points out their mistake without even knowing how to really

Some of the products were from respectable Korean brands, so they're not really Amazon brands. I think watching some of Edward Avila's videos might help you to understand why the products are made that way and their intended uses! I know you guys probably didn't know they were from actual companies because they are Korea based so I can't really say anything about misuse, but I think it'd be good to check out some Korean you tubers to learn about the products. :)

Hi, Manny, I think you and Laura should review K beauty products seriously. They are great, a lot of K beauty products are getting popular.
Their products are really white, they prefer their cushions to be dewy and natural looking. Their products are moisturizing and great. They make sure that the skin of the costumer itself gets enough nutrients and benefits. So basically K- beauty products are promoting beauty inside and out.

I won't tell you "to do your research" because it was just all for fun, but maybe filming the video with Laura made the comments and use of products more spit out without thought. I understand she has her own unique..very unique style lol.. but I thought maybe if you filmed it by yourself, your comments would have been less offensive to others?? since people are usually more calm when filming alone. It's not actually about filming alone or not it's just that if they knew how to use the products the outcome would have been better i guess also the foundation colour was too light and i highly doubt that they would have found their right shade since korean foundation doesn't have very much shades
I’m wheezing these are all k beauty brands, k beauty is mostly more like natural beauty, not to mention that the dewy sheer look is really popular in Korea. The really light shades and the white cast are mostly because there’s almost always spf in their cushions and there’s a really limited range of tones in base makeup as well. As a Korean who loves makeup, from Korea and here, this video gets me little upsetting.
Every time you guys do a review on Korean product it seems to me you guys don't do any research and mock the products. Korea does carry really good pallets, base products , etc. and since there aren't many different skin tones in Korea, the color do not vary a lot.
Please take more consideration of what you say when uploading videos with items from specific place.
