There's occasional award space in J on Fiji to/from AKL/West coast US so was an interesting review. AKL is usually a difficult destination to find award space, so seeing a decent J option was welcome.
Thank you for watching! AKL is indeed an awkward place to start. Thankfully, from Sydney we have a lot of competition, so paid fares are better than ex-AKL. The flip side is.. more competition means it's harder to get a reward seat on these popular routes too.
Someone decided that the beef would be a staff meal, and someone else overruled that. QF are notorious for missing meals as well. Nevertheless, a very interesting review. I like how you're not in the bipolar "everything is fabulous/everything is a tragedy" club.

A bit rude that QF couldn’t find room for their associate airline’s premium passengers in the lounge.
I got $40 of food vouchers instead :D
