- Jashon Lambert knew his family couldn't afford an elaborate, expensive Iron Man suit for cosplay. So, he took to the internet and made his own from cardboard and hot glue. #IronMan #Avengers

This was great, I been tryin to find out about "full metal iron man costume" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you ever come across - Xenacob Heyndrew Guide - (just google it ) ? Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my friend got great success with it.
This was great, thanks, I've been looking for "iron man game costumes" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried - Xenacob Heyndrew Guide - (should be on google have a look ) ? Ive heard some decent things about it and my colleague got amazing results with it.
Nice Video clip! Sorry for the intrusion, I would appreciate your initial thoughts. Have you heard about - Trentvorty Fitness Life Theorem (do a google search)? It is a smashing exclusive product for learning how to design your own Iron Man suit without the normal expense. Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my m8 at very last got excellent results with it.
Girls in arts class: Oh, look! I've drawn a house!
Boys:
What would make this even more dope is if he colored it
hi everyone ,if anyone else is searching for how to make an authentic iron man costume try Pycanta Amazing Ironman Protocol (do a google search ) ? Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my friend got cool results with it.
Good job dude. I can tell that your mom, family and friends are proud of you. :) God bless you.
I’m stuck at home like so many during this time of Covid. I’ve been looking for craft ideas. Your video is informative and inspiring. With passion and stick-to-it-ness you show how you dedicated yourself to create your suit. The support and encouragement from your family is also a beautiful thing. Thank you for sharing.
Bro he better not go outside in the rain😭😂🥶
I mean he can buy the water repelant thing
It’s just the base. Some people then use material over it. Similar to bondo. Sand and paint.
He could just put like a waterproof material on it
Kaden 2 right
*It's all fun and games until he falls in the water.*
I’m creating one too. I definitely know it won’t be as good as you did, but I always try and never give up.
All the best 🤙🤜
Me too man
Ris
*Me in my spare time:*
Nahh jk I wound never be able to make one *T H A T* great
Honestly, if you use EVA foam and pepakura foam patterns, It'll come out better than you expect.
Bagenius that’s what I was think if I use Eva foam and patterns I could hopefully build mark 2 or mark 3 I honestly really like mark 2 I love the fight scene between tony stark and his friend Rhody in iron man 2
but cardboard is the challenge bois
eva foam is just a cheat
dude im literally going to be crying when it starts tearing apart and stuff ill be so sorrowful
what's the big deal about this kid. it's not like he used his own creativity and ideas to make it. he literally followed instructions. so many people can do that. the people he watched to learn how to make that are the ones who really deserve this credit.
Not invincible to real bullets, but invincible to nerf bullets
And this is how Iron man Jr was born
This is why I like making suits, it's just so relaxing and satisfying to see how proud other people are of your work, saty strong 💪❤
I've made masks like a lot.. But my parents doesn't care 😶
@@posonsandaru9747 i also make iron man helmet, Captain America shield and thor'd hammer (Jonathan)😅
He needs to go into cardboard box wars
Yea lol
It looks stunning, add some color and your set also wear a red jumpsuit
What a coincidence!
I've only just decided to build a cardboard iron man suit, so I searched it on UA-cam for shits and giggles, and whaddya know. Somebody beat me to it!
Great job. I think you should coat it with shellac or lacquer, several coats, until it's nice and hard and not prone to immediate accidental destruction as cardboard is wont to do, if not handled carefully.
Then paint it in the correct gold and red pattern, and detail all of the rest of it with fine tip sharpie markers - black, silver, whatever colors you need based on the most detailed references you can find.
A suit as good as the one you've shown here, with so much obvious work, dedication and talent put into it, deserves the finishing touches. HARDEN the cardboard any way you can without destroying it. A lacquer of wood glue thinned half and half with water, coating every surface, is a good start. Several coats of that is even better. Then several coats of 2 parts glue to 1 part water. Keep doing than until the cardboard feel like more like... almost a resin. Or very thin, light wood. Sand it constantly, keeping the edges and any rough surfaces as smooth a possible, with fine to medium courseness.
After all of that, then... maybe several coats of spray primer/lacquer. Or just primer. Several coats of gray primer. Maybe then lacquer then primer, a few times, until the cardboard starts to feel hard. Keep it sanded, and oh yeah, be careful not to destroy it! I've had that happen to me. Get all excited, focus on a minor defect, cut it, sand it, spray it, glue it, over and over and over until I've complete F-ed it up! Careful of that!
THEN paint them major parts red and gold, and (I'm assuming the suit is disassembled while doing all this surface coating and priming) with the suit disassembled, GO TO TOWN on those details! Really dive into those references.
Maybe - and if you haven't already done this then it's probably too late - find little panels all over the armor according to the references and cut the shapes of them into the armor, and then widen those cuts slightly with the end of something kind of sharp, something that won't cut anymore, but the blunt edge of it will widen the cut in the armor so that it's more prominent. Or, you can glue thin shapes of cardboard onto the surface of your armor where any such panels are indicated in your references, which provide a very subtle detail. Do this ALL OVER YOUR SUIT and trace the outlined edges with thin black sharpie, or paint a light, thin black wash over the surface and it will collect in the panel outlines that you've cut, or against the thin sides of panels if you've glued them on.
THEN, after you're absolutely sure that you've painted every single surface of every single piece with every single iota of detail you can find a reference for, be it surface coloring or surface detailing with cardboard 'greeblies' (you know, little mechanical things that go here and there, like all those bits on the exterior of the Millennium Falcon that make it look real), after you've installed all the pertinent detail greeblies and painted the whole thing in red and gold with appropriate detail laid in by hand with sharpies and/or other physical media...
NOW! Coat the entire thing with a clear spray varnish in someplace with a large floor that's well ventilated... a large garage, empty warehouse, outside patio covered with paint tarp, I dunno, somewhere appropriate for lots of spraying stuff from a can in large quantities that doesn't really end with you (or anyone else) suffocating before you're finished.
Then, after several coats of super clear, super reflective, super spray varnish, step back and admire what you have done...
WOW. I can see it in my head... AWESOME!
On yeah. Don't forget to make the eyes light up. And the hands.
LOTS AND LOTS OF COATS OF WOOD GLUE/WATER, PRIMER PRIMER PRIMER, PAINT PAINT PAINT, CLEAR SPRAY LACQUER, LOTS AND LOTS!
Ok! I'm assuming you're gonna do all that, because why else build a frikin' Iron Man suit, unless it's the most baddest ass suit you can make? That's the way I look at it, and I've been modeling cardboard since I was a teeny tiny 10 year old kid, using cereal boxes, mostly. If I start a cardboard model, the final result simply HAS to be the best thing that is possible for me to make, so that includes EVERYTHING.
That means, when you're finished, people shouldn't be able to tell that it's made out of... what was that again? CARDBOARD? NO WAY! REALLY? WOW! Hey man, this guy built this Iron Man suit out of cardboard! Huh? No way that's cardboard. That's a movie prop. Carbon fiber or something. No, man, it's cardboard, I shit you not! Almost all of it is just cardboard! Wow really? Can I get a closer look? Holy cow! It IS cardboard! From 10 feet away it looks like aluminum or something! It's so shiny, and... how did you make it so hard and tough? It feels more like plastic when I touch it!
HEY, OVER THERE! CARDBOARD IRON MAN! YEAH, YOU! How much for the suit? Ten thousand? Fifty? Ok, a hundred grand. Come on, it's for my son for his birthday! Ok, half a million! Deal?
DEAL!
Congrats, man! That's just a glimpse into your future if you finish that thing as I've suggested!
wow that is absolutely amazing
IRON MAN: Dollar store edition
Good job thats something to be proud of I wanna try this with lights and metal and try to add moving parts with details or use cardboards and metallic spray

It’s people like this who inspire me to make my costumes, I’ve made a lot of cosplays and those kind of people and my family and friends motivate me to do that and I think it’s amazing that he made this suit entirely out of cardboard
Robert Downey junior and the entire team of marvel need to see this
This is a very very well done suit. I'm actually working on one of my own but I've noticed the joints are the hardest part to get right so you can still move properly
His mom is proud of him, when I told my mom I'm gonna make an ironman suit out of cardboard she said that it's a waste of time
My mom won't allow me to even THINK! about making an iron man suit.
