Works well but I have played against people trying a similar method but as soon as I see the chemical dropped, I immediately react and never give Atom the opportunity to continue the pressure.
Liger Bomb Can't say I am the best player but most players that I play are always my skill level or higher but I can see your point. Average players don't generally even have an understanding of pressure and mix-ups and yes, I have played good players who utilized such strategies against me and I counter with a "straight face".
Hey, Raptor. Is it possible to use Atom's BF2 as a mobility tool or does it have too much whiff recovery? I would test this myself, but I'm currently deployed so I can't get my hands on Atom just yet. I could see it being useful for corpse hopping.
if you're asking about the overhead at 2:14, that was a jump attack cancelled with Atom's float, which gives you a 50/50. you can either follow it up with another overhead air attack (like in the vid) or with a b1 when you touch the ground for a low. inputs in the vid were j2xxdb2, (air)1
Dystopia Oh okaym See Im trying to understand some of these terms a little bit because I heard them since MKX dropped and had no idea what it meant. Im new to the inj 2 scene myself.
not a problem! I just automatically assume people know. During a 50/50, it means the next attack could be a low or overhead, meaning the opponent has to guess whether to block standing (overhead) or block ducking (low). The numbers you see people throwing around usually refers to frame data. It refers to how many frames of animation a certain move takes up. e.g. Superman's f23 has 21 startup frames, meaning it will take 21 frames (21frames / 60fps = .35 seconds) before the attack registers, and is -2 on block, meaning the soonest you can do your next move is 2 frames later than after your opponent recovers from blockstun. When people talk about (some integer) on block, they're referring to how safe the move is. Moves that are positive or slightly negative on block are safe because the frame disadvantage isn't high enough to be punished. Moves that are very negative (e.g. Superman's b2, which is -19 on block) are unsafe because you are stuck in the attack animation while the opponent recovers faster than you and can punish.
I learned these set ups within 5 minutes of using the character. If people need tutorials for this easy stuff then they should probably stop playing fighting games cause they're mediocre
This is why I love raptor, he always find the best way to use a character and teaches us how to use it also. Thank you
Atom seems to be good for Raptor because he has so much tech to explore
That sounds like a band name

He needs a midscreen damage combo

Yes bf2 is very good to throw out since it goes over crouching opponents and is pretty safe on whiff.
Damn, he's good!
sick!
Can’t they just push block you?
Pink Kalia that goes for most pressure methods. No?
Niiiicccceeeee!
#buffcaptaincold
whats atoms overhead?

Tonya Allen Trait jump 3 is the most godlike overhead ever known to man

Dystopia When you say 50/50 and +5 on block and stuff you'll lose me just that quick.

hullo that's cause I'm fuckin godlike
These are beginner guides. I found pretty much the exact same setups right after picking him up it’s not that complex tbh
Gregster Games they shouldn't need a tutorial for something this easy. It's like telling them "press up to jump"
Bilis Fund He's just a troll.
I mean you don't have to be good at a fighting game to enjoy it. Why would they stop playing it?
