I apologise, but this is kindof a rant. Maximes constant reactions to shots before they have landed are annoying. Sometimes he gets it 100% wrong as well. What is the goal? "This one needs to faaade! Thats perfect". "Aggressive left side, thats dangerous", give the audience time to think themselves. We're 99% discgolfers watching. Mid flight: "this is the best shot of the day". Really?? The constant talking and guesses on what they think the players are thinking before and in the shot has zero value. At least I am here to watch the coverage with no knowledge of the results beforehand, the commentators are here to build suspense, add insights, be informative and frankly, be quiet during the shots. PS. what's up with the split screen results before the check in with Kristin? You are spoiling in your own production 🙈
I don't know if the casters are watching the footage a second or two earlier than what is shown to us in the coverage, or if it's knowledge from them being actually present at the rounds when it happened, but I gotta agree that commenting on the result of a throw before it happens on the screen is breaking the immersion and spoiling the suspense. We as viewers are watching this for the first time, and if the casters are reacting to the round like they have already seen it, it makes me feel like we are getting some sort of a weird second-hand rerun version of the event that we as viewers just aren't in on. I still for the most part very much enjoy the casters and the quality of the coverage done by MDG, and to be frank, the same kind of "prior knowledge of the throws" has plagued Jomez too after the post-production casters started to do live coverage as well.
There is too much blabber about nothing. This video is not for the blind. If you don't have information that is not on the screen, then silence is awesome. Stop loving the sound of your own voice. And please, the very worst is when you both talk at the same time. Your job as commentator is to enhance. Tell us things we can't see or may not notice like movement on the leaderboard; making the tournament into an exciting story is best. I want to know wind and weather, history of the hole, course and tourney, background on the player, unusual shot or disc selection, interesting strategies. Constantly speculating on how good you think a shot is makes me hit the mute button..

I mean, Big Jerm thinks 8/10 shots are bad and probably going OB, until they don't.. Plus, negative comments about disc golf anything need to have a really really really good point for them to be worth posting. THIS CRITIQUE IS NOT ONE OF THEM. Fucking booooooooo!
Rachel needs to talk to Rebecca Cox and figure out how to rid herself of that horrid putting style. I'll never understand how you can be bad and have bad form too. If bad technique producers results it's hard to argue against it, but if you're struggling don't you have to try something new? Like let's say, oh I don't know, something that's working well for the majority of the best to be currently doing it?
I think most MPO on tour that have debated that idea agreed that the sport isn't there yet. I've never heard of your name before so I would guess that your ego is getting the best of you.

You can probably throw frisbees really far, and we are all happy for you!

Making 1/3rd of the fairway OB on 15 for no apparent reason seems pretty stupid.

Thinking MPO should separate to grow the sport. Allocate better purses and such. It's not exciting watching "pro" players that I can beat in a match
