The details in this game makes it possible to fly back to the nearest airstrip with only half of one of your wings left. It also means that you can get oneshot coz a stray AA round took out your pilot

Well, in real life a B-17 landed with the tail completely separated and only joined by parachute strings. If only the tip is taken off, it can still fly. The A-10 warthog was designed to fly without one wing too.

TEEWURST And? I have done it in a P-51 and the XF5F as well as a spit if I remember correctly. As long as not much of the wing is taken out, it will still produce enough lift and fly.

i hate it when you unload like 3 belts just to take down a enemy plane while they can shoot only two bullets and shoot off your wing.

Nefsen tlThis one might be L2P issue. But there are lots of "sikrits" I can't understand, like why is Yak-9P with low alt engine faster at 4km (12000ft) than Spitfire Griffon with high alt engine... only thing I understand is why Russian planes don't burn. It's because they are made from Aluminium that is light, strong and fireproof.
+Nefsen I´ve been playing Yak-3, Yak-3P and i 16 all this week, and all the disadvantages I find in soviets, are: Lack of ammunition, and max speed plane can handle (720 km/h for yaks). Planes like P-51-5/30 can run away from them by diving. Tha´s all soviets have to deal with by what I have seen. And I think their first jest aren´t that good aswell but the MiG-15s are good, but not clssified for me as "OP" because they are fighting planes they really fighted (At least some of them), and there is more balance except the new MM.. but if Mig-15bis meets Sabre F-2 I think its pretty much fair.
+Nefsen If I am correct, Yaks can´t wep at any altitude :D. And yeah, other countires have a lot more ammo, but they spark a lot more...

+Meepo Bellic its just the invisible damage glitch where the plane is damaged but it doesnt show up. But ill admit America does have some magic. I was in a B25 going 535 and the planes speed limit was 354. Also I was in Air Realistic.

Is it just me or whenever I shoot a plane it's basically a bullet sponge and I can shoot their pilot,engine,fuel 40 times it won't die but when I get shot I die instantly and when I shoot a bomber it won't die when I get shot as a bomber I die instantly :(

+kopfjager68 Depends on the gun/ammo you use. Many Brits get terrible ammo and are stuck using 7.62mm guns up to a high tier. But there are some planes with huge guns and others that get tiny 6mm (I believe the french one-off plane) guns.
I mostly use bf109 f1 I think and p51 / b25

Main reason y i love the game, the damage on the planes are so realistic and so cool
One time when I was flying a bomber, I had at least one enemy on my tail and I was getting critical damaged. Unfortunately, the base was on the other side of the map, and I knew that couldn't get back with enemies on my tail, so I had to do an emergency landing in the middle of a field. I managed to get a soft landing while losing my landing gear in the process.

How old is this footage? This damage indicator, if I remember correctly was replaced with new one about 4 months ago...
The G force system sucks, we need to spend tons of golden eagles just to increase one star. Not to mention how the spitfire's wings breaks while climbing.

Zacarias Recabarren Thats the thing, there is some glitches. By reading your comment, I knew you're confused. I was in a dogfight. High G turns then I climb coz the enemy Yak lost his speed, the moment i pitched up, ripped my wings.

adam sulaiman That's how real life works. You get too much G's and you blackout. If you're lucky you wake up still in the air.
Why does it look better then, then now? Especially with the bullet holes through the canopy
Propeller pitch is NOT like bicycle gearing and it doesn't control how fast the propeller spins. Propeller pitch is how sharply the blades of the propeller are angled, which affects how hard the blades are pulling on the air as they spin. With identical propeller speeds, a prop with a higher pitch angle with produce more thrust than a lower pitch angle.

Even the most maneuverable planes can't out-turn a figter with the wing off. Clearly see that la-5 outturning the bf109
great video..question though..when i hit targets in my plane it doesnt show me that ive hit them..and if i get a kill it will only show on the bottom right corner of the screen..

I once flew a tbf-1c on a dead engine from one end of the map to the other.
I also once landed a b18 with no tail control what so ever.

One thing about propeller control:
-If you want to make a dive , put the propeller control to 0%, you will accelerate more faster than 100% propeller control
Wait, opening the radiator actually does something other than slow you down now? I remember that, even quite recently, there was no noticeable difference in engine temperatures when using 0% radiator or 100% radiator. Of course, the radiator does make a difference in the air speed department though.
Perhaps I'll have to go back and test a few aircraft to see if opening/closing the radiator actually does change engine temperatures now.

As of 3 minutes ago. Bug when engine failure due to prop pitch. Landing on strip WILL NOT repair. firing shots will rearm, which glitches repair, and then it will work.

In the video, the fuel remaining time, oil temp and water temp shows in the corner, how do you enable this?
remeber to set engine controls... the more engines the better. one goes down shut it off, set it to prop feather, set radiator to 0... make as far as u can on remaining engine/s ... if u have one engine, well planes can somewhat glide, so set radiator to 100 and either shut it down or set prop feather, that way cool engine and start it up again. good luck have fun
It's great that Gaijin thinks a planes tail will get cut off clean when bullets get shot into its direct 6...

Okay so then tell me why I shoot at someone all day, get at least 7 hits on them, and usually a critical and the DONT DIE.
But someone makes one pass on me and my entire plane explodes.
EVERY TIME.
I guess 7 mm were made just to dent aircraft.

Prop pitch is the angle of the propeller blade, not a "gear".

One time i was playing my first game of realistics battkes on planes and i was 4700 meters and i went to a head on with a hurricane and then my elevator was severly damaged so damaged that i lost control of my aircraft completely and my aircraft just started flying up because my elvator was stuck in a broken position so my plane always went up making it difficult for my plane to land i also sustained some minor fuel leaks
But for me to land i drove upside down then when i was about to land i turned back up and no more energy was left so i just landed
I landed unsafe though cause i did not know it at first but my landing gear took significant damage one of my landing wheels broke
But thankfully still alive

"Propeller Pitch controls how fast the propeller spins" that's very wrong. Propeller pitch controls how much the "pitch" of the propeller relative to the airstream so a higher pitch will scoop more air in each rotation than a lower pitch.
They both are correct actually, propeller pitch does does vary the amount of bite the propeller is taking but as you go from fine pitch to course pitch he engine rpm thus propeller rpm decreases, that's how engine rpm is controlled in piston aero engines, throttle controls manifold pressure or boost if you like.
What do you do if tail control is damged ?
Just played in a squad with my dad in the same room for 3 hours...... I had to use the laptop.... 13 average FPS..... He gets a smooth 60 FPS...... I hate laptops.

Uh, you didn't explain what the difference was between a purple tinted fire and a regular fire.
Red or orange fires are engine fires; you can put them out by switching off the engine.
Purple or bluish fires are fuel fires; the only way to put them out is a precise combination of luck, patience, and prayer.

in Air battle Rescue allied bomber or fighter points or rewards should be high so players help each others ,everyone play for there own points dont care if allied is in danger

Yeah sure, what about the random damage for example when a freedom cal deals more damage than a 20mm cannon round or the central gear leg critical... or planes with critical damage on elevators that still can fly... all that without mentioning the fire randomness and american 12.7 related to that subject or the assignment of a kill after unleashing all the freaking ammo on a plane that ends up "crashing"

You forgot to mention Soviet Stalinium aircraft which can bounce 20mm shells for days and make you reload 2 times just to shoot down 1 plane. And German papier-mâché death traps that fall apart at the first sign of .50 calibers. Tanks aren't too much different. I wish I knew, what I know now, when I first started. So I could have picked the correct faction.
