I think so, too. In a way... everybody's focusing on that fraudulent duke roster. It's fine. Nova can just prove themselves in the polls like they always do. Jay said he doesn't really think they're ready to be a contender just yet, but by the end of the regular season be a contender for the big east title.
@@RoundTableTime I do lol... if he has to. But seriously, I'm hoping Isaiah Stewart commits to Nova so bad. He's the only "big" that can really be close to as good as Spellman, I think. I was VERY glad to read DCR gained some weight during the off-season and I think I read that he's been working on his shooting. It was so apparent to me that a big was very important when Spellman had to sit out his first year and not having a true big during the 16-17' season was the reason we lost to Wisconsin in the round of 32. I don't know how his 3 pt shooting is, but if it's not up to par, I still want him.
Hopefully DCR can play 20+ minutes a night and Painter can chip in 5-10 or so, then Paschall would't have to play too much center. But different story if those 2 are not ready. It definitely seems like Jay was banking on Omari sticking around for another year. Getting Stewart would be huge, but they definitely need another big guy, especially after Paschall leaves. That Wisconsin lose was brutal, I see Nigel Hayes spin moves in my nightmares
@@RoundTableTime lol imagine if Spellman played. We could've at least reached the elite 8 last yr, in my opinion. Maybe won the title again, but I remember Nova wasn't exactly playing their best at the end of the season. Donte and Mikal and Brunson were our bright spots. Both Donte and Mikal should've played way more minutes in that Wisconsin game. But Jenkins, Hart, and Darryl Reynolds were our let down shooting percentage wise. I say they suffered from a NC hangover. Yeah, I'm actually wanting Stewart more than Jeremiah Robinson-Earl. I'll take them both though, of course.
i think nova is being slept on alot this season. This team has alot of depth and Phil Booth and Eric Paschall alone make this team dangerous.

I have more trust in Eric Paschall than I do in DCR and Dylan Painter as a "big".
For sure. I just don't want Paschall to have to play too many minutes at center this season
