This game has a very special part on my heart. My best friends and I play this a lot during lunch break and man was it amazing. Also, my favourite combo was of Wargreymon with drill tornado, then grabbing enemy with choke slam and finish with special Gaia force. The damage was insane and It was exhilarating pulling it off haha
I always thought Wormmon got done dirty in this game. Everyone else evolves into a final form and he just evolves into a stage that Tailmon starts at...
@Adimas Guntur Right. He's a Wormmon evolution and they can do whatever in terms of gameplay. I'm just talking as a casual who played RA maybe a couple times back in the day, looking at the aesthetics in that Wormmon only evolved up one level while everyone else went up at least 2 but mostly 3.
Most satisfying feeling in this game: 1) Finishing with Sakuyamon's ultimate (Kongoukai Mandala) 2) Blowing people away with Sakuyamon's triangle (Spirit Drive) 3) Juggling people with Terrier Tornado
renamon is tbh super OP, the diamond can stun and the change place is really devastating on the forest stage, since you can basically make your opponent sure-hit by the boulder
The only slight downside to Diamond Storm is that it takes a small amount of time to charge up and is a long name - so you can block it fairly easily when you hear the word "Diamond" The most OP attack in this game, barring the Mega's specials - I'd say that would be Boom Bubble - as its an invisible shot you can't see until it hits
I can’t believe that one digimon in the 2020 remake of the anime who got dismantled completely by Wargreymon was from this game. Reapermon drove me nuts as a kid. I remember having to spam Guilmon’s Rock Breaker to win. I’m not sure if there was a better way to beat him at the time but it was the best advice I got from the backseat gamer who played the game while I was just a complete newbie.
I found him easiest to kill with Impmon, Renamon and Gatomon. Gatomon combo with digivolution to Magnadramon with special usually kills him really easily
I remember there's a trick kind of hard to pull off with Omnimon's special move. You had to activate it at a certain distance, so when the enemy is being thrown away, it falls again on the flame attack, doubling the total damage. I was only able to do it a few times when I was a kid.
IIRC the damage increases massively when the ice trail and the fire ball both hit the target at the same time instead of consecutively. I usually timed it with my opponent's kip-up or respawn by making sure the ice trail passed their character's model just enough for its tail to still register a hit.

Rumble Arena, Zoids Battle Legends, Smash Bros on 64, and Budokai Tenkaichi. What I would give to be able to play all those games for the first time again.

@@kutukan2219I remember Gaia force saved me as it automatically jumps. My cousin was using dukemon and we used both ultimate move and the jump was high enough to evade Final Elysion lmao and he got hit by Gaia force. Lol

The Circle and Triangle symbols really don't matter if I remap the face buttons to be more Smash-like. Technique 1 would be mapped to Square while Technique 2 would be mapped to Circle, leaving Cross to attacking and Triangle to jumping as a result.
Finish 1P mode with every single character that the game starts with. That will give you all the characters except one, BlackWargreymon. To get BlackWargreymon you need go get to the penultimate fight (one before Reapermon/Goukimon) without losing a single round. He'll appear as a replacement for that battle, beat him and then beat the last stage and you should now also have him.
the english version or dub of rumble arena is not bad,..as we used to it hearing every move name back then and it became iconic to me and i always remember it...specially GREAT TORNADO and BLACK TORNADO...we thought the super was GIGA DESTROYER and MEGA DESTROYER even OMEGA SWORD,,,,,hahaha...me and my friends had a lot of fun playing rumble arena and its still the best and still fun to play up today...except for the sequel it was so bad...
As a non English speaker I can neutrally say that you had the best dub. Although, the music in the Japanese version was directly taken out of the anime and that sums. Yep, Rumble Arena 2 tried so hard to get some Smash Bros Melee magic, and it failed to follow its own path

Wormon evolution, stingmon is actually one of the strongest character in this game. Unblockable combo, and can replenish health.

Yes, he was done dirty on the evolution side. But he was really powerful with the combo and moves

I usually do it on stage with borders that bounces off the enemy. I think that's how I usually do his special
