I dont have a problem with a slipper clutch but i do have a problem with a slipper clutch thats not built very well, the fact that the slipper bolt went in to plastic in my opinion is not good, have all of the center diff parts on order for my 3s big rock to give me that peace of mind to make it just that bit more reliable
I feel all theses upgrades are awesome. The new center diff is a huge improvement in performance, i personally hate the slipper clutch system but never had any real problems with them . Them doing away with the sway bars , i dont believe they were needed on these rigs , if you were to remove your sway bars on the previous model i don't think you would notice the difference, but you will with the tuneability of the new center diff. And at a cheaper cost, you just can't go wrong with all these upgrades. Way to go arrma for listening to there customer's and giving back to them. Traxxas better step it up.

Just wished they would of addressed some of the problems that they have had with these rigs, that we will still be fixing. The xmaxx is still my favorite basher and racer on my track it's hard to beat. I really enjoy the hobby, and love to build and add to these rc's just as everyone else in the hobby. But I still can't justify the price, I can almost buy 3 brand new sliders for the cost of 1 ultimate, hit up Jenny's RC for most of my parts and not spend a fraction of that cost.
@@rcguygarage I wanted to say that I put the new central diff on the version 2 that you also have and I use a 138 mm long battery with a capacity of 9200 mAh and it fit perfectly, I had no problems with the length of the battery, I also put the new ones higher chassis protections and they fit without problems So far the springs are ok, I ordered some a little more rigid, servo saver is ok so far..
If you need need Gopro batteries get the white capped ones they have more power but perform way better in the cold which will really benefit you up there cool comparison when you can have them side by side like that.

I put a Hobbywing 10bl120 g2 sensor less 3675 2200kv Turnigy 6s capable they run really fast. Now I check how far I can go without heating the motor and esc
Has been a great truck. My only issue has been the crown gear metal they used. I switched out my diffs to the original cnc cut crown gears. I had to switch the cases too because the cnc gear wouldn't fit on the V2 diff case.

Most are still BNIB and factory sealed from 80's-90's so won't open those as know have value. Anyone here in Massachusetts know much about train's? I may have figured out the servo issue on Arrma Outcast 4s V2. So I turned those black guards on the front shocks to face away from the drive shaft and now it’s turning almost on a dime. I’ve had mine for about 5 months and the turning radius was always bad. I saw the wear on the drive shaft where those guard were so I just lifted the spring and now have them facing away from the drive shaft and now it’s awesome. I mean that has to be it because I haven’t changed it from stock at all. Let me know if it works for you and if it does just give me a shout out on a video. Good luck, I hope it works for you. 🤙🏻
The v2.5 is for the novice who can't adjust a slipper clutch newbies. The v2 with old slipper with option to lock it and loosen it, love the option to switch chassis between Kraton and Outcast.
But I have seen numerous issues on forums with the slipper clutch on 3s models and everyone was raving for a center Diff... So you say center Diff is not needed? I'm debating between 3s or 4s v2.5..
The new ESC has caused a bunch of issues for people on the forums and youtube. It is detecting LVC even on fully charged batteries. They have offered to replace the ESC but it is back ordered. Until that comes they now released a new firmware for it that I am going to try out today.
Hey man. Have something very interesting. I was wondering if others have experienced. I purchased both the v2(accidentally 😂) and v2.5. I ran both and I noticed that the v2 turned tremendously better. I found the v2.5 had severe oversteer. I’ll make a video tomorrow to compare. I’m also wondering if others are having the same issue. Maybe the center diff is applying weird torque to the front tires causing oversteer? Gets substantially worse as throttle is applied. V2 slightly oversteers as throttle increases.

I may have figured out the servo issue

Forgot the diff I thought it was but didn’t try the V2.5 with diff. So my opinion is no diff

Could be the sway bars! V2.5 no longer has them. I’d give a better servo and Kimbrough 124 saver a try along with a full center diff with 500k and it
