  • Is Twitch Actually Dying Out? (Twitch vs Kick)
Senpai Gaming's Video: • Should You Trust Kick....
Twitch has been under fire recently for banning popular streamer Adin Ross, and Adin decided to move to a new live streaming platform that is affiliated with Trainwrecks, Kick. The debate on what the best streaming platform is has been going on for a long time, and people can't choose between Twitch, Kick, UA-cam, and Facebook. The total viewership counts on Twitch have dropped almost 10% over the last year, leaving a lot of people wondering, is Twitch actually dying? Kick offers the streamer a 95-5 revenue split while Twitch offers a 50-50 revenue split. Many streamers have been moving over to Kick because Twitch's terms of service are terrible, and streamers get banned all the time for no reason. UA-cam is still a great option for streaming though, and IShowSpeed, one of the most popular streamers in the world, grew strictly off of UA-cam. I share my thoughts on what streaming platform I think is best for all different types of streamers, as well as if Twitch is really dying, or if that idea is overblown.

on twitch it took me 2 years to get my first payout, discoverability is basically non exsistant for small streamers, i switched to kick 3 months ago so far its been the best decision i ever made, im getting more viewers, more subs, ive made more money in 3 months on kick than i did for 4 years on twitch, so when somone tells you not to go to kick thats because they dont want to see you succeed OR they are a twitch streamer and they dont want to lose viewers to kick. my advice is try out kick for yourself and make your own decision based on your growth and viewership on kick as a new streamer, then compare that to twitch. once you do this yourself you will see how much better kick is for small streamers, i only have 168 followers yet i have 33 subs on kick. i will never go back to twitch that platform is drowning itself in ads like a sinking ship.

Good video! I think kick is only good for gambling streams, and it's going to be the next mixer. Nothing is going to beat Twitch for a while, probably just bc how long it's been around and when someone says live streaming Twitch is the first thing to pop up in mind. Like you said about UA-cam streams, most people go here just for videos, not streams. Twitch needs to change the revenue split 100%, though taking half of someone's hard earned content is sad. Hopefully, it will be like you said the 70-30 for all, not just partner streamers!

nothing is going to beat twitch cause streamers are too afraid of losing their community and losing their source of income. that's why. because if all the big streamers changed for kick, or any other new stream plataform, twitch would die. twitch is not good. twitch just doesn't die because the streamers are too afraid of changing

Yeah I wouldn’t be surprised if Kick went down a similar path to mixer. They need small streamers going there and can’t just rely on big signings
