Got my '72 Charger SE done there, excellent work!
I liked the interaction with his customers especially that guy with the Cord and that fellow on the corn farm with a gazillion super cars. I had no problem with his crew and his wonderful bride is quite charming.
I don’t like how he takes all the credit for the work. Has he ever picked up a wrench????
Wonderful news that filming is ongoing, trouble is we,the audiance never get to see newer episodes ,what gives ?
I love that he traveled and love Tim's collection of cars. Regular people, not a bunch of stars
I think this show is awesome. It doesn’t get boring because you don’t see the same 5 guys only in a garage setting. I enjoy the variety.
Great show, I live 10 minutes from the shop. They have moved north to Inisfill and re-opening in June 2023. Their old building is vacant, in the 1970-80s the building in Bradford was a fruit market!
I've watched a lot of car shows. The Guild is the best. Huge variety of cars and good guys
Great shows guys. U answer tons of questions I have about these shows.
I tune in to watch the show to see which rug is going to end up on Wartie's head.
Known as the "Guild of Automotive Lawsuits" in the automotive hobby in Ontario. The last show I saw they eve had their legal council(woman) taking over the camera lmao. No good company turns over employees as often as these guys. If you want loyalty, get a dog, because you won't get any working for Dave. Doubt what I say? Ask any trades person who has been their their high speed hr turnstile.
This seems to be the fate of all the car shows. I have always loved the original seasons but as the video said, they end up as a lot of jokes being played on the crew members and a lot of talking heads. My favorite was Phantom Garage but they quit because it took up too much of their work time. Bitchin Rides is one good example. They used to show a lot of techniques and restoration tricks and now the goofy shop manager and his cookies became the regular attraction. Contrary to this video's assertion that watchers like the interplay between the crew, I think it's just the opposite. They want to see the work and how it's done. I don't want to see a trick played on one of the mechs. The restoration garage is lost. It doesn't know where to go. The owner has gone from a butt ugly guy to an extremely butt ugly woman. His wife offers nothing but a distraction and I don't need to watch a group of guys change oil and spark plugs. WTF happened to the Ferrari they were building?
Not a bad show... David seems to get creepier each season. They guy needs a make-over.
I like that Talan guy..lol he reminds me of Stiffler.
Worked with a couple guys who were former employees of the Guild , they absolutely refused to be on camera and had enough drama from the bourgeois owner .
that garage has been there since at least 1970 because my aunt took me there to see a van that the monkeys drove. i think it was the monkeys van .maybe not but a famous van owned by some one in hollywood. the van was still there in the show room until about 15 years ago
what happened to Mopar mechanic Larry?
Nothing wrong with the show . If you don't like it watch something else and stop whinning like a little bit....!!
It's interesting to see Grainger's toupees get more and more ridiculous as time goes on.
As to the ":restoration" it seems they do everything the most expensively way possible.
Yes restoration garage has become a little dry but I will continue to watch it. I like seeing Janice it’s like a Ying yang between her and David and I feel it works. There are people out there that watch UA-cam videos on tropical fish and while that’s not my thing, more power to them because they enjoy it. So I will continue to watch car videos or shows because that’s my thing and I enjoy it. I enjoy seeing his business partner Larry get involved especially when they went to Southern California and saw the hot rod shop and low riders. What can I say I like it and hope they keep coming.
I absolutely love this show.
So.... what was the phonecall??
More tuna bullshit
I can reveal what it was. If you had seen that episode of the show, it was concerning one of the staff (a very important and talented person) undergoing a triple bypass. Thankfully, he is fine now, and I just spoke with him last week.
@@kbjerke Thanks for the explanation! But it wasn't explained in this show. Weird.
@@michaelgray5168 It was a short segment, and easy to miss. But it was a key element in that episode. Fortunately he has made a full recovery and has been back at work for some time now. We work together on some projects. Stay well!
Then how dose that mark worms show do well that show is like pulling hairs with tweezers
Great show, I love it, Janice too.
Great Show I love watching it
I can't stand the show. It seems the owner is trying to glorify how rich he becoming. I mean his wifes "pet" projects? It is like a boring dull drum monotone museum tour.
Dave should fix those craters on his face as they are unbecoming!.
Well i like Janice however their is a little to much mundane repairs. I also likd Larry and Davids travel so.
The first few seasons, the show was narrated and you knew what was going on. There was also a lot more balance between the projects in the shop and the car show visits. Now you could retitle the show "The Adventures of Dave and Larry (featuring Janice)"
Too many personal changes, Wife is annoying as Hell, The ratrod episodes were ok but the end result was unimpressive. The trip to Italy episode with the young kid driver was contrived. Should have been canceled seasons ago.
I would venture to say that his 'hair-cap' is unappealing, and does him a disadvantage.
for me the rug is the best part of the show - when you see him wear ridiculous shirts to try to take your attn away from how fake it looks, you have to just laugh. I do like how he rotates the rugs to look like he had a haircut recently in some episodes. Shows attn to detail :-)
If you mean Dave, well, the guy needs his hair restored. He has an unlikeable quality(ies) about him. There is a disingenuous aspect to him. The word that best describes him is 'affectation'. This guy is phonier than a $12 bill. I would never work for a creep like that not even for top dollar. The anxiety wouldn't be worth it. Just the thought of having to interact with him daily makes my heart skip beats.
Janis ya staying sober?
Never cared for him onlycars😊
I love this show.
Yes. This show sucks.
Aat least we don't see Dan Short throwing a baby tantrum.
