It was great seeing you supporting Puka Dog and Eden Coffee, the food trucks and the other local food establishments. A lot of tourists come here but don't actually contribute to the local economy. I wish you'd stayed at a resort or hotel because that helps keep locals employed, but you still supported local so mahalo for that. Next time, check out places like Hilo Hattie's, The Red Hibiscus and Emperor's Emporium for clothes and souvenirs. Aloha

It's pronounced: "Ah-VAH-Ah-VAH-Poo-hee" (Awaʻawapuhi). In Hawaiian, the W's make a V sound. "Kah-La-La-ow" for Kalalau. "Po-KEH", not "Po-key" for Poké. Hope that helps 😅🤙🏾
