When I did some maintenance on my Vantage I thought the same about that beige mess in the diffs. Last time I saw anything like it was when I changed my kids nappies when they were little 😅😅😅😅

I watched your videos on the vantage when your channel first started and went and got my first rc. I got the vantage looking at it now iv got two brushless vantage s and a brushed vantage building my first tamiya tt02 mercedes Amg love your channel helped a lot thanks popalong rc

Have the brush less vantage... probably the best car I've bought..and i started RC back in 87 with a mardave meteor.
I also had a mardave meteor, such a great basic racer back in the day, do you still have it?
Nice work. I recently got given two HSP 4wd buggies. Been in a shed for years, rusty, covered in dust n crap. Took me a while but they've been cleaned repaired and restored. Not hopped up like your FTX unfortunately, maybe one day. But for now thney are good for letting my nieces and nephews use them.

It's like Rocket surgery when I go back to work on these cars too,after working on the eight/seven scale bashers. I now have various glasses for various scale cars.Maybe I should wear them when driving aswell..✌️
I stuck a 4.5t hobbywing in a Xray 1/10 truggy. It’s taken a week of trial and error to get it to not thermal itself. I had to go all the way down to a 16t pinion. A bit disappointed in its overall speed but it’s fast enough off road.
Alloy c-hubs and steering knuckles are always useful, not so sure about lower wishbones though. And a 3.5 turn motor? Good luck😜😜
They are called slipper gaskets I believe. The "brown" stuff on my Vantage is peanut butter. I'm sure of it. lol
Funny you mentioning the e clip on the steering. Mine disappeared a long time ago. No idea where it went. So I have replaced mine with the FTX hop-up steering. I've also put on the carbon top deck and a little of the blue bling. Still running it brushed for now but I do plan a brushless conversion in the future.

I did a similar thing a few years ago with one of these just to show you don't have to spend a fortune to go club racing. My only real issue was lack of steering lock
That is a fair point, the track I’ll be racing on is luckily fairly large so hopefully should be ok👍
I fixed this by drilling (2.5mm bit) a new steering arm mount hole 6mm away from the inner hole on the steering knuckles. I ran a highly modded Vantage at my local astro track (Swindon) in the last winter season and it was surprisingly competitive against the best race bred 4WD buggies (

The brown in gear box is water ingress mixed.i only use baby oil in shocks and gearboxes ?
I used beard oil and olive oil sometimes
How much is the ESC motor combo? In US dollars.

Im just rebuilding my old kyosho zx5r and it looks very euqal is it a clone? 3.5 turns how long did it survive? :)
This car is very similar to a Kyosho Lazer ZX5
Awesome video - this is going to be one cool buggy! Does the Vantage Brushless come with the steel spur already - do you know if it’s any different to the brushed Vantage aside from the brushless set up?
My two brushless vantage s didont
The brushed/brushless versions are 100% identical apart from the ESC and motors.
I'm new to rc and have The FTX Ramraider. What class of vehicles are eligible for the GP. Can't find any info on it as I haven't got Facebook. Was going to buy MT10 or SC10 pro 4 next.
