As someone who has played ball his whole life n at all levels this shoe is great!!!!! One of the most comfortable shoes I ever wore on the court ….. the air max only being in the rear gives that court feel in the toes for pushing off n cutting but cushion to the heel for knees n ankles !!! Highly recommend to athletic guards/wings !! As far as the stability n rubbing on ankles wear ankle braces haven’t had an issue but should help if u are
I really like these shows so far - it's nice to have Nike make a shoe that's more rugged and impact resistant. I've been using these for my practice shoes when playing pickleball and they've been helping to give my feet a rest from the pounding they usually take with my game-day shoes, the Zoom Court NXT.
For all the efforts to increase foot security I actually still sprained my ankle in these shoes a month ago. On top of that I also need an MRI done now to make sure I didn’t tear a ligament in my ankle.
Look at some of the ankle exercises that american footballers do....have rolled my ankle since but the sprain has been negliable and I can continue playing...
Man I subbed couple days ago.. But here when I saw the clip of you testing these outside during a slight snow fall :))) That showed me the REAL HARD DETERMINATION and Hustle for these vids. Much respect man , and thank you for all this information for Kicks that we are planning to get or not ;) _Greetings from Croatia_
Thanks! haha yeah i remember that day it started snowing so bad I ended up closing the office later, but the video had to get done, its much easier in the summers....
Thank you for this video! Been waiting for a comprehensive breakdown of the Witness 6. Still wearing my Witness 4 but they are starting to become my daily beaters. Looking to find a colorway I like of the Witness 6.
U always need to pairs of hooping shoes, 1 for indoors and 1 for outdoors... these sound like the perfect out door shoe, rugged, cheap, with thick soles, air max Bubble to give u that little bounce that outdoor/concrete courts dont have.... can't wait to try these out
I just got these, and I already love them! They have great foot security, have nice deep grooves for outdoor courts, and are all around a great bball shoe.
The Witness line despite being a budget offering are actually pretty solid. I wish the Ambassador line was available outside of Asia, those are really built for outdoor courts. However I heard the latest iteration of the Ambassador line has been a bit of a letdown
I really like your videos, the information you bring is very relevant, but what I like the most is the part where you show the shoe cut in half lmaooooooooo 😂
I really appreciate looking at this video. I've been playing in a league and sprained my left ankle 4 times in a month with these. Had to move on to buy some other shoes.
Picked up 2 pair of these yesterday for $60 got lucky cause when I went back today they was back up to $100...I like them so much I wanted a 3rd pair lol but don't wanna pay $100 after getting 2 for almost that price yesterday
Another great review! I really enjoy they way you breakdown a shoes performance and the types of tests you perform on then. They’re very detailed and really gives me a good sense of how they will probably perform. Will you be doing a performance review on the Kyrie 8s? I’d really like to hear your take on those!
I'm torn cause most of the reviews are saying not to buy cause of support issues cause . But with your review it's making me think of getting it again.
@LACLIPS I bought the witness 6 for just walking around. I was a bit worried to play in them just cause they don’t seem very stable. The KD14s I think are pretty good for outside but I can’t rly give a confident suggestion for outdoor since that’s not what I’ve been looking for. And for indoor I’m not sure either, depends on your position and playstyle and stuff. I ended up getting the KD14s for indoor but I was getting them for a Middle in volleyball, not to play basketball in, and they seem to be pretty good so far. I think you can get the Nike GT jump for like 110 at dicks rn (usually 180 I think) and I’ve heard good things about them if you’re not using them on dusty courts. Sorry I can’t rly give a solid suggestion. I did so much research on a shoe that works well for me but it’s so hard to know without actually playing in them. Someone needs to make a shoe store with a court inside that lets u try court shoes out by letting u hoop in them for a bit 😂
Thank you for the review of the Lebron Witness 6. Sounded like the perfect shoe for my needs until the very end when their indoor performance was mentioned. I am an older player (60+) who has to stress cushioning for heel to lessen jumping impact on back. Already wear a Protalus insert with my 10+ year old Nikes to improve that. My days of requiring high end performance in side-to-side cuts are (alas) behind me and I do not play outdoors for same reasons of hard court and impact issues. Any shoe better than this for cushioning impact that had a better sole for indoor use (the only area the Witness 6 seemed to lack a little on)? Thanks
How come some shoes seem to “propel” yourself forward with each stride when running in a straight line? And others seem to hamper that? Is it the “heel-to-toe transition”? It seems like some basketball shoes like the LeBron 15 and Curry 8 feel more like running shoes while shoes like the GT cut feel more lateral.
I think the Air Bag gives that effect on the ball-of-foot, where that heel to toe transition is much quicker in transition than the usual heel/toe with foam midsoles. The Curry 8 imo is the greatest basketball sneaker of all time though.
Love your reviews…..thank you….what wide shoe do you recommend for multi sport…..tennis shoes tend to hurt my feet so I’m looking for a basketball shoe for tennis. Thanks again.
Hey Zach, could you review a pare of Jordan 35 lows. I know they are last year's model, but I would really like to hear you opinion on them. Thanks in advance 🙌🏻
As I said in a previous video, air max is somewhat of a gimmick. It looks good, it's mesmerizing to look at but, it's a gimmicky technology. Zoom air on the other hand, is what I call true technology.
Nah impact protection is far better in airmax, been using these for almost a year on outside, now I got a kyrie infinity with air zoom in the heel and I can feel a lot harder the impact with the ground, airmax dissipates far more intensity
At 56 I am not a fan of too much court feel. I side more with impact protection and these do the trick with my Lynco Orthotics. Trying to find a decent shoe with impact protection is sometimes like mission impossible.
Here in the Philippines.. sometimes if the shoe is slipping.. we take our shoe off..or play with our slippers and play barefoot.. hahahaha! So whatever shoe we use we don’t care.. we just need traction plus the comfortability only..hahaha!
Popular now with AAU girls indoor basketball. What first comes to mind as the best for a 12 year old baller? Currently, air zoom gt run? Kyrie’s seem flat and non responsive for her.
@@FootDoctorZach elevate yourself has a few reviews on volleyball shoes but I love like a super broken down one. And for the most part it's a lot of lateral and jumping movements, very stop and go playing. And a lot of heel toe transitions. So for the most part a lot of them are lighter weight basketball shoes, just kind of designed for more agility and minute movements rather than crazy all out running. But thank you so much for the comment reply, love to actually see like the creator looking in the comments it's cool.
