@Mindy Eggen Design • Mindy: There are so many things that I like about this card.
First, the simple frame around the scene really evokes the paintings we see in museums and galleries, which immediately elevates the tone of the card.
Second is the background color you used, not a traditional green or blue. That realy suggests the warmth & light of the home you're returning to, whether it be after only hours or years.
Next are the die cuts themselves with their detailed etching. I like your suggestion of following the illustration for your first make. I think that's good advice we all can apply. Adding additional coloring or switching the color palette can come with later makes.
The etching on the dies is what really makes them first class. The etching along with all the components are what creates a great card with minimal effort.
You've created a lovely, artistic card that can sit on a mantle for pure visual enjoyment long after the event has passed.
Honeybee's superbly designed die comes to life under your creative vision Thanks for sharing.
P.S. I would love to see if you could add some of those LED lights behind the windows. Just a thought.
