Funny you post this as I actually saw the Daver vid already a few days ago not knowing anything about his channel. I was very curious after laughing my ass off watching that vid. Did u just randomly find that channel too?

I actually had my eyes on this one years back but never pulled the trigger. Went ahead and ordered a couple carded samples just now so I can give it a go and see if it works well enough that I scoop a bottle up. Solid review, good info.
BIG "A" !..As if you didn't have enough! My guess is, Mr. Tennessee Fragrance should be closing in on Two Large, by the end of this year. Phook the buying freeze ;) Wld love to get the Mrs.' nose on these Guerlainades. Ambergris! Sounds great. Thank, E.
I ordered Encens Mythique before watching reviews of it, but watched reviews before I received it. I am torn on this one. It's so unlike anything I've ever smelled, let alone worn. I agree that it unfolds, but without singular note layers. It begins powerfully subtle and ends subtly powerful, or, vice versa. The staying power is amazing. I don't consider it a feminine fragrance whatsoever, but that doesn't stop me from wanting to smell like it everywhere I go. When I'm wearing Encens Mythique, I imagine being on a boat on the high seas, alone, and with no purpose other than to just BE.
@@usmellsgood I'm going to be wearing a lot more of that for sure! It's been nice to wear it every now and then in the colder weather to put me in the mood for spring, but once the warm weather really ramps up I'll probably wind up wearing it every day
Eugenius! You're back, and doing what you do best! Ensens Mythique sounds wonderful! Yes, ambergris is an acquired taste, it grows you. I really enjoy that watery, slightly salty, body odor vibe. It's always reminds me of the scent someone's skin after they've toweled off at the beach, the slight sheen of perspiration on their bodies. Tasty! Will seek out a decant, and looking forward to your future Cuir Intense review. Mahalo!
Nice review. This is one of the few newer Guerlains I haven’t tried. I’ve got my bottle of Ambre Eternel and love it. I’ve never smelled anything like it. At the rate I’m going my bottle will last me at least 15 years.
Hi Eugene, Encens Mythique d'Orient was the first Guerlain perfume to knock me over and drag me to its lair. I wore it for 4 months straight from my first sniff in Feb. 2016. That was 3 years ago, and I feel the same about it today. I consider it a Wasser masterpiece and unlike anything else in the Guerlain lineup -- although I can smell maybe the bleached bones of Vol de Nuit. I've smelt 2 reformulations of that version. Two early 2016 bottles I bought (legitimate stockist) and returned that lacked the eyeroll to the back of my head, almost narcotic rush of aldehyde, or the kaleidoscope opening of a little rose bound by saffron and patchouli today, next day more incense, saffron, ambergris, etc. Both smelled alcoholy and weak -- a poor reform and different as night and day from the 2012 carded samples (original version). I finally found a March 2014 version on the private market that was a perfect match. In 2018, I bought an Oct. 2016 tester from an Omani eBay merchant, the bottle with the perfume name in small type on the front, like the one you first held up. When I smelled it, it was 99.8% identical to my original bottle and the samples. The 2% wasn't the smell, it was how the ambergris reacted on my skin. With the very end drydown of the first bottle and samples, it's like my skin absorbed the smell of sand in the sun and ambergris was dried seawater perfumed with live sea mammal and warmed with sandalwood. The tester was slightly spicier and sat on, rather than smelled like it was part of my skin. And the perfume was actually stronger! Even so, a great match. I will definitely test the new Absolus version. One thing Wasser has done is tighten up reformulations to be as faithful to the original as possible. I have a 2018 Mademoiselle Guerlain and the original LPRN Modèle 2. There's no difference except the bottles. Thanks for your review.
Typically i dont use this term, but i feel like this is a compliment monster, i think that it for sure gets you noticed. It really has a beautiful effect in the air.
I have never owned this but I have gone through many samples of the older version. I can say the new one is almost the same if not identical. I never got a creamy or buttery feel and instead I felt it is very sparkling and salty. Not as animalic as Ambre Eternal to me. This was my favourite Guerlain until I used Derby. For me EM is a weekly wear while Derby is every alternate day. You're probably thinking how can I have favourites when I don't own them. But I think using 10ml of samples is the same as using 10ml from a bottle. I only own Habit Rouge EDT and Heritage EDT (both latest versions). Next I'll probably go for Vetiver/Extreme and Shalimar. Looking forward to more reviews and live streams. Thanks bro!
I feel like i can buy 2 bottles of the same perfume right next to each other and i might perceive them to be different, its almost as if we want them to be just to agonize over it.
Sup Sir Eugenius Pimping III! Great video, man, I agree with all you said adding in the flinty, mineral feel you said in the OG review. This can get pretty animalic on full wearing, which surprised me for the best the first time I wore it. I officially inducted Encens Mythique in with my 5-star masterpiece’s earlier this year. After wearing it several times this past Fall and this Winter. I believe it belongs in the big boy ranks with the top of Guerlain’s classics from the past and Lui from the present. As I've told you before, I own the original in the original formula bottle (removable atomizer) and have a sample of the Absolu’s. While there is a slight difference in the opening, they dry down to the same thing within 5 minutes. The slight differences can even be because of the different stages of maceration between the two, especially considering the original’s age. #wackpack
hello i have this collection too...encens mythique is deep sweet like encens clean composition like a bouda temple...very soothing sensation. the perfume outfit is great 10/12h. i love it
How do you find Heritage edt and edp by Guerlain? Would you review it? Some like it, some hated it. I love it. A bit harsh for few minutes but the rest of the scent journey is outstanding and highly complimenting.
I’m poor as balls right now so I can’t get into these, a year or two I’ll be solid and ready to party though. Right now I’m wearing old classics like Havana, Gurlain Vetiver and Chanel Antaeus.

Would Guerlain's L’Homme Ideal EdP be a safe starting point for getting into Guerlain fragrances? or is it too "for the masses" and I should start somewhere else?
I think its a solid designer level fragrance although i would prefer if it were a little less sweet, start there and depending on your tastes we can help steer you along.
U Smells Good ... nice to see you back! Totally agree, Guerlain’s L’Homme Ideal EDP is too sweet and I personally regret purchasing. I’d definitely recommend sampling before buying..
All i get from the EDP was sharp cherry liquor spilled on leather. Nothing creamy or sweet on me. The EDT on the other hand was sickly sweet for me. More or less equal to the sweetness of Angel Muse.
Hi Eugen, I can not decide either to buy Musc Noble or Encens mythique. I have never tried neither of them. I am female and a like santal Royal. What would you recommend?
