Tommy Emmanuel and Lizzie Watkins - Walls

- Some walls are made of stone
Some times we build our own
Some walls will stand for years
Some wash away with tears
Some walls are lined with gold
Some hearts stay safe and cold
Some walls are made of doubt
Holding in and keeping out
If there's any hope for love at all
Some walls must fall
Some walls are built on pride
Some keep the child inside
Some walls are made in fear
That love let go will disappear
If there's any hope for love at all
Some walls must fall
How will you ever know what might be found
Until you let the walls come tumbling down
If there's any hope for love at all
Some walls must fall
Such a beautiful song……..thanks both❤
there aint a person alive who doesn't melt when they hear this song.
yes beautiful song
This is beautiful. Tommy always arranges songs to extract the maximum amount of melody from them... simply stunning
One of the best songs i've ever heard and i could hear this song the whole day ^^ - and Lizzy Watkins have a great voice
thanks . best version of "walls" on the web
I remember seeing him and Pam in November... most awesome experience ever!

I just heard a great impromptu version he did back stage in Moscow in 2012 with a local young woman. That's the only reason I came looking for this version to get the writer's name. I think you're in for a surprise - more feeling to it. --- it's on UA-cam
melodic truth....beautiful
simple and beautiful :)
Love the song. It's a real shame in this version that they don't do the vocal harmonies like on The Mystery but none the less still great.
@Synergo I love it.... tommy's a fast player you gotta respect that :P
@bce5150 Ahahahah!! I saw him live in Cassino, in 2008!
It was awesome.
I believe Peter, Paul and Mary did this in the 90's.
@Synergo It's almost always like that - except with Andy Mckee. =D
Great tune isn't it? written by Pam Rose, just got the basics of it with bass notes under the chords, play these F/A Bb C/E F (F/A means an F major chord with an A note under it, sorry if you knew this already friend :))
Thx for sub
I'm pretty sure this is a Randy Sharp tune?
