What if you're in a competition, and you on up only a few points and all of sudden your board break? if they do that you probably have to walk all the way across town, and probably charge ridiculous prices, no that's to realistic, and realism is killing video game thier boring.

Skate games on the street, to get money for new pieces, skill levels ... And the edges do not glide well without wax.
True skate seems to be really pushing 4k, multi platform and essentially taking the mobile version slapping better textures and calling it a console game. The movement's of the skater look really bad not fluid at all. The one trick performed in this video is a front shuv and it just looks awkward. The reason we all loved EA SKATE 1,2,3 is the mechanics got better over each game. The skaters movements, flip tricks, grinds, ollies, pushing etc got more realistic. I love that you guys heard our concerns about skate 4 and wanted to make a game for us, but I would really focus on what we loved about the skate games. Just my 2 cents

I did take a read and it sounds promising like all kick starters do in the backing stage. In reality they have a very long way to go to even compare to skate 3 mechanics. I hope they blow it out of the water and I'm looking forward to buying the game if so.
Dude Koston has been a sell out for years. This game from what I can see already, looks like shit. Skate 2, and 3 are still the only realistic skating games out there. Koston doesn't know anything that would make a skateboard game any good. Just let EA take there sweaty ass time. So we know it will be perfect!

use skate 3s joystick controls but when u click r3 and l3 together u can catch the board so it makes it more realistic and a little bit harder and u will be able to do tre double flips and stuff like that
a feature where you upload it to an in game instagram type thing as part of a story line and then sponsors hit you up. you should be able to make the insta vids trendy as Fuck in a full edit mode also

I have a wishlist that I think can speak for every Skate fan. 1. Keep the joystick flick controls. Those controls were perfect except it would be more realistic if you had to use BOTH STICKS instead like Project: Session 2. More realistic body movements. 3. Online Play with friends. 4. A career mode where you work your way up from amateur skater to fully sponsored pro with buyable properties, custom shoes for your brand, and custom boards for your brand.

Most important things:-real gravity and physics-real spots, and please include Leap of Faith without the new @&€&@ elevator-tricks always different depending on how you pop and flick-different styles (style does matter)
I think style is a really important factor in creating a realistic game. Maybe more advanced foot placement for tricks. I saw when the character was doing a front shuv on flat his foot placement was like if he were just riding with his back foot square on the tail. Maybe focus more on popping tricks off of the toes or balls of the foot to achieve a more realistic feel. And also pinch in grind tricks. In skate 3 it was very difficult to make a crooked grind of feeble grind kook good because the character was so awkwardly balanced on the ledge/rail. Just some thoughts. Love this idea and plan to purchase and enjoy this game as it comes out
Leveling system would be awesome in my opinion. Like, where you really have to practice (and level) your tricks/skater to become better. In the beginning you gotta (for example) kickflip with precision to really catch the trick good. But the more you do it and level on the trick, the less punctual your flick has to be to still land a trick. It's just an example of an idea, but you can go really wide on this idea, so it hasn't got to be exactly what I just said. Just leveling or really have some challenge would be cool I think. Also weather changes, so when it's for example wet, you really have to be carefull lol... Oh yeah also add real life spots and a lot of skateparks from over the world, as well as dew tour and street league parks again..
a mix of EA Skate controls and the system from Thrasher Skate & Destroy where you have to "unlock"/learn new tricks instead of just being able to do everything right away would be cool
Spots similar to real ones are a must have. If there was a way to show real wear on the boards from slides and the skaters from falls would add the touches skaters look for.

Id like to see more board/gear from actual companies, the ability to really customize/personalize your character. Also I think a trick list that details how to do it after you've learned the trick would be cool, since sometimes ill do a trick in True Skate & cant really remember how I did it. We got Tony hawks shit skater 5, that was published by Activision and they got the studio Robomodo to make the game. Big publishers could have easily made a new skateboarding game by now. If you have been following Project Session you would know that it is a very difficult project for a small company like crea~ture, simply because of money..

of course everyone is gonna want the game to run smoothly with no glitches or bugs. I would like to see a skate game that is hard to do tricks. Skate was pretty close with this when you try and skate realistic. But always seemed the more silly you tried to skate, the easier it was to pull of tricks. Maybe a realistic setting and some way to separate online those who are trying to skate like in real life, and those just point herding. Would be awesome to play a realistic style game of skate, to where you had to try and focus on technique in all tricks, cuz even in real life after getting tricks on lock, you still need to focus and still sometimes will miss it. A great feature for this would be to allow users to play games of S.K.A.T.E. with other random players that you the user doesn't have to know. Basically like they do with Words With Friends. Allow an option for the user to search for anyone else who may be playing or interested in playing S.K.A.T.E. around the world. I love playing S.K.A.T.E. in real life but i dont have other friends who play these skateboarding games. That would be such a great feature. You could even program an option where you have to play against the game, similar to the feature in Touchgrind 2.
put some new york city parks and spots like LES, owls head,Chelsea,Tribeca, the courthouse, the black hubbas,flushings Queens and many more, we would also love an advanced character creator like grip tape,screws, hairstyles and more
i almost cried when i heard of this game ive been playing tue skate on my phone since the first week when it came out and i would die if this game really came out please make my dream come true
For career mode it should be this. You should start from the bottom making edits and parts. Once you get a sponser you make your way up to one of the greatest skaters ever. And also as the career goes on you can have a chance to be in big competitions such as X games or street league. Once you turn pro you should be able to design your own pro model. Also it would be amazing if you could start your own brand.
Yeah of course go realistic. And make the game hard. Make it feel like an accomplishment to land a tre flip after maybe even some weeks. To keep folks motivated maybe add difficulties like Guitar Hero: you can do stuff from early on but playing Through Fire and Flames on expert.. Holy Moly! Add possibilities to be individual. Like in EA's Skate every kickflip almost looked the same. If possible simulate the boards movement on a physics enginge like you did in your mobile game so maybe everybody could invent her/his own style of doing tricks. That would be amazing! But I guess that makes it hard to make the animation of the skater look real. Realistic look feel and animation are of course key, for youtubers, streamers and especially people making montages like I did back in the day. Make the maps rather small and detailed than big and f*cking boring. That was a huge problem with EA Skate 3 imo. Of course taking real spots for inspiration would help. And now for some other typical EA Skate complaints: Make the bigspin look like a Bigspin and not like a "180 Pop Shuv it". Make reverts out of tricks possible, so that for example 360 ollies on flatground look better. And of course ad a filming mode like EA Skate did! Sorry for gramatical and spelling mistakes!
To those complaining and whining about the animations or graphics, THIS IS THE PRE-ALPHA. IT'S NOWHERE NEAR FINISHED, THEY WILL ADD MORE STUFF AND BUFF OUT THEIR ANIMATIONS. Also, thanks to EA, they have a license for that joystick controls in Skate 3, so other skate games (even this one) can't use it.
I thought Skate 3 was a let down. I liked that the bag of tricks was expanded and the walking/running was improved. Hardcore mode was great. But overall, the game was very rushed and had too many glitches. Skate 2 reigns supreme for the trilogy. With that said, this looks promising, but I'll hold off judgment until more is put out.
I just got back home from a 5 hour skate sesh. and after watching like 10 seconds of this i was like, damn I wanna go back out and skate. To bad its about to rain....
boards snap, bones break, good spots and a smooth grind system, maybe add different styles , robotic / loose / grungy / tight... i wanna see shoe companies as well as board / truck companies i like skater more than true skate so i dont know if this is gunna turn out but aye if skate 4 isnt happening then this is the closest step i guess
Please make a really really good Park Editor , so users can make real life parks and upload them , you can change the skybox , you can place everything , you can choose the texture of the ground , houses , etc. Please make it happen!
Try adding in real spots also like nijahs shecklers, Luans custom parks + make story modes and playing other people online. Try and add real skaters in there aswell. Make levels that the players can reach to e.g am, sponsored, pro, .... , introduce some cheat codes to introduce to the game like, Zombie mode, slo mo, super speed. For grinds and slides you should introduce wax to the game so you can wax unslippery spots. To make it more realistic you could have skate parts that break after a while and board that snap. Make a rage mode so the player gets mad. Make real ware boards and shoes. Make ripping shirts when you fall. Make skateshops. Make the game multiplayer 1-2 or 1-4 so other people can play, make it a family game aswell. Have people that get mad when you hit them. You could make a SNAKE mode when scooter and bikers and rollerskaters are everywhere like skateparks and stuff.
I wanna see the Lyon 25 before it was skate stopped in the game. Also, I wanna somehow be able to do nollie, fakie, and switch tricks too. Excited to see what you guys come up with
Please add the same controls that were used in The Skate series, I believe the Right stick is the best and most realistic controls in any of the skateboarding games. And add more tricks like I wanna be able to dolphin flip or Casper flip or dragon flip.
This game could be just as successful as Skate 4 would be if done right so here's what I (and most people probably) want 1. The joystick based tricks were perfect, so there's no need for change. 2. Add actual trick names. Rather than Bs 360 shuv it, say backside bigspin, or instead of a Fs 180 kickflip, make it say a backside flip. 3. A park editor that's enjoyable. It was soooooo disappointing that the Skate 3 park editor was basically unplayable due to the frame drops, so let's fix that. 4. Real spots/ skate courses such as Carlsbad, Hollywood High, El Toro, and Tampa, SLS, Dew Tour, etc 5. Make it easier to download parks. It was wayyyy to complicated in Skate 3 6. Then just technical improvements like graphics, bugs, physics, etc

3 things every games needs to become a well made game. 1) Hidden trophies/prizes (like characters to play as and things to ware / use). 2) Please hear me out, I know it's a skate game, but give it a story. Not some boring, real life, day in-a-life of a skater. Just some stupid funny shit that skaters will laugh at. Aaaaaand 3) It needs to have new ramps, build a park parts, and honestly more detail to the game. Examples: (personalized spray tag, board graphics, and please add some creative new boards and opportunities to make anything happen. (like some one eating shit on a mag cover)
I think you should be able to customize your character like skate3 but you should also be able to custom your board, like with board rails, custom grip, another cool thing would be if you could wear down trucks and your board
The joystick system like skate 3 would be great without the automatic catch, so catch when you want and you can do a wider variation of tricks... (720 flip, 720 shov, 360 double flip, etc.)

Id like to see more board/gear from actual companies, the ability to really customize/personalize your character. Also I think a trick list that details how to do it after you've learned the trick would be cool, since sometimes ill do a trick in True Skate & cant really remember how I did it. We got Tony hawks shit skater 5, that was published by Activision and they got the studio Robomodo to make the game. Big publishers could have easily made a new skateboarding game by now. If you have been following Project Session you would know that it is a very difficult project for a small company like crea~ture, simply because of money..

of course everyone is gonna want the game to run smoothly with no glitches or bugs. I would like to see a skate game that is hard to do tricks. Skate was pretty close with this when you try and skate realistic. But always seemed the more silly you tried to skate, the easier it was to pull of tricks. Maybe a realistic setting and some way to separate online those who are trying to skate like in real life, and those just point herding. Would be awesome to play a realistic style game of skate, to where you had to try and focus on technique in all tricks, cuz even in real life after getting tricks on lock, you still need to focus and still sometimes will miss it. Either or, excited to see a new skate game finally in the works on coming out. Been way too long and i wrote off THPS about a decade ago. add size to skate parts (and another millions ideas) the little details that really makes it realistic.
A great feature for this would be to allow users to play games of S.K.A.T.E. with other random players that you the user doesn't have to know. Basically like they do with Words With Friends. Allow an option for the user to search for anyone else who may be playing or interested in playing S.K.A.T.E. around the world. I love playing S.K.A.T.E. in real life but i dont have other friends who play these skateboarding games. That would be such a great feature. You could even program an option where you have to play against the game, similar to the feature in Touchgrind 2.
I have a question...you could play this game only on your Xbox One/PS4 or you could play it just with your phone by connecting it to your TV somehow?

Make the camera height for the rider adjustable. Also customization of characters or boards and such would be another great feature.
For career mode it should be this. You should start from the bottom making edits and parts. Once you get a sponser you make your way up to one of the greatest skaters ever. And also as the career goes on you can have a chance to be in big competitions such as X games or street league. Once you turn pro you should be able to design your own pro model. Also it would be amazing if you could start your own brand.

Yeah of course go realistic. And make the game hard. Make it feel like an accomplishment to land a tre flip after maybe even some weeks. To keep folks motivated maybe add difficulties like Guitar Hero: you can do stuff from early on but playing Through Fire and Flames on expert.. Holy Moly! Add possibilities to be individual. Like in EA's Skate every kickflip almost looked the same. If possible simulate the boards movement on a physics enginge like you did in your mobile game so maybe everybody could invent her/his own style of doing tricks. That would be amazing! But I guess that makes it hard to make the animation of the skater look real. Realistic look feel and animation are of course key, for youtubers, streamers and especially people making montages like I did back in the day. Make the maps rather small and detailed than big and f*cking boring. That was a huge problem with EA Skate 3 imo. Of course taking real spots for inspiration would help. And now for some other typical EA Skate complaints: Make the bigspin look like a Bigspin and not like a "180 Pop Shuv it". Make reverts out of tricks possible, so that for example 360 ollies on flatground look better. And of course ad a filming mode like EA Skate did! Sorry for gramatical and spelling mistakes!

To those complaining and whining about the animations or graphics, THIS IS THE PRE-ALPHA. IT'S NOWHERE NEAR FINISHED, THEY WILL ADD MORE STUFF AND BUFF OUT THEIR ANIMATIONS. Also, thanks to EA, they have a license for that joystick controls in Skate 3, so other skate games (even this one) can't use it.
A sketchier more street feel to the settings similar to Skate 2 would make the game have a more realistic and rugged feel to it!
I thought Skate 3 was a let down. I liked that the bag of tricks was expanded and the walking/running was improved. Hardcore mode was great. But overall, the game was very rushed and had too many glitches. Skate 2 reigns supreme for the trilogy.
With that said, this looks promising, but I'll hold off judgment until more is put out.

I just got back home from a 5 hour skate sesh. and after watching like 10 seconds of this i was like, damn I wanna go back out and skate. To bad its about to rain....
boards snap, bones break, good spots and a smooth grind system, maybe add different styles , robotic / loose / grungy / tight... i wanna see shoe companies as well as board / truck companies i like skater more than true skate so i dont know if this is gunna turn out but aye if skate 4 isnt happening then this is the closest step i guess
Please make a really really good Park Editor , so users can make real life parks and upload them , you can change the skybox , you can place everything , you can choose the texture of the ground , houses , etc. Please make it happen!
Try adding in real spots also like nijahs shecklers, Luans custom parks + make story modes and playing other people online. Try and add real skaters in there aswell. Make levels that the players can reach to e.g am, sponsored, pro, .... , introduce some cheat codes to introduce to the game like, Zombie mode, slo mo, super speed. For grinds and slides you should introduce wax to the game so you can wax unslippery spots. To make it more realistic you could have skate parts that break after a while and board that snap. Make a rage mode so the player gets mad. Make real ware boards and shoes. Make ripping shirts when you fall. Make skateshops. Make the game multiplayer 1-2 or 1-4 so other people can play, make it a family game aswell. Have people that get mad when you hit them. You could make a SNAKE mode when scooter and bikers and rollerskaters are everywhere like skateparks and stuff.
I wanna see the Lyon 25 before it was skate stopped in the game. Also, I wanna somehow be able to do nollie, fakie, and switch tricks too. Excited to see what you guys come up with
Please add the same controls that were used in The Skate series, I believe the Right stick is the best and most realistic controls in any of the skateboarding games. And add more tricks like I wanna be able to dolphin flip or Casper flip or dragon flip.
This game could be just as successful as Skate 4 would be if done right so here's what I (and most people probably) want
1. The joystick based tricks were perfect, so there's no need for change.
2. Add actual trick names. Rather than Bs 360 shuv it, say backside bigspin, or instead of a Fs 180 kickflip, make it say a backside flip.
3. A park editor that's enjoyable. It was soooooo disappointing that the Skate 3 park editor was basically unplayable due to the frame drops, so let's fix that.
4. Real spots/ skate courses such as Carlsbad, Hollywood High, El Toro, and Tampa, SLS, Dew Tour, etc
5. Make it easier to download parks. It was wayyyy to complicated in Skate 3
6. Then just technical improvements like graphics, bugs, physics, etc
love the concept! maybe you guys could put a good ragdoll in there along with more complicated tricks that werent in Skate 3. i think physics is key here and if you guys can get that down it should be an awesome game!! #keepupthegoodwork ☺️

3 things every games needs to become a well made game. 1) Hidden trophies/prizes (like characters to play as and things to ware / use). 2) Please hear me out, I know it's a skate game, but give it a story. Not some boring, real life, day in-a-life of a skater. Just some stupid funny shit that skaters will laugh at. Aaaaaand 3) It needs to have new ramps, build a park parts, and honestly more detail to the game. Examples: (personalized spray tag, board graphics, and please add some creative new boards and opportunities to make anything happen. (like some one eating shit on a mag cover)
and maybe even some new challenge modes (like team skate)

I think you should be able to customize your character like skate3 but you should also be able to custom your board, like with board rails, custom grip, another cool thing would be if you could wear down trucks and your board
The joystick system like skate 3 would be great without the automatic catch, so catch when you want and you can do a wider variation of tricks... (720 flip, 720 shov, 360 double flip, etc.)
