I hope the guys that left respawn make our wishes come true
Bug dominated skill gaps and a babies first campaign. First game was better. It had weight to it. Movement in 2 got to be a little silly and the titan balance was out the window.
Meh, the online component was worse but at least it had a campaign. The online gameplay in the first one, co-op and multiplayer, felt perfect. Just right. Titanfall 2 got too complicated. I rather liked the simplicity of the first game. I also finished the campaign in 2 only once and never felt like playing it again. And then I gave up on the online play too. Titanfall 1 is one of my favorite online gameplay experiences to this day and I miss it. But I just couldn't get into the second one anymore. Didn't have the same magic.
It's short but sweet, and that's perfect. It really feels like a cinematic experience, they achieved their goals entirely with making the relationship between BT and Cooper/the player feel genuine. I'm concerned if you didn't want to cry at the end. I still go back and play the campaign like I'm just rewatching a good movie. Titanfall holds a special place in my heart.
i don't think it's considered underated anymore since everybody knows how great it is, but it won't change the fact people leaving the game cause it is unplayable and devs have abandoned it so it dies like how it supposed to be, at least the fanbase has saved it by server mod but only pc gamers can play it so somewhat it's offically dead
Well you're correct, it literally is. Short but also there's absolutely no filler and it's entirely concise. Has a story to tell and that's it. Every level is unique and you touch on every single mechanic in the game throughout and its paced arguably perfectly with phenomenal set pieces to match. BUT definitely isn't underrated. It is widely regarded as such by fans and critics alike its more so **underappreciated - and criminally so. WHERE IS TF3??? I miss BT :(

Oh man, this one really hits me hard. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in multiplayer-only Titanfall on PC back when it first released. I remember my laptop barely able to run it until after an upgrade, but the moment I did they released the Frontier Defense mode and I poured majority of my time there than the competitive multiplayer modes. Titanfall 2 finally gave me the campaign I've been longing for, thankfully replayable and does well to teach newcomers the mechanics and movements in preparation for multiplayer. My only big gripe was when embarking on your Titan it would shift the camera to third-person; which isn't as immersive as the first game's fluidity in maintaining a first-person view from being on-foot and into a Titan. Overall though, I absolutely LOVE this franchise and really hope it would come back one day. I still have Titanfall 2's Marauder Edition helmet just sitting there on my shelf :')

Titanfall is where the real legends were made. The first game basically dominated my entire 2014, and the sequel had probably one of the greatest FPS campaigns I've ever played. If I could choose to do anything from the past decade, it would probably be to go back and experience Titanfall again for the first time. I felt something I'd never felt playing a shooter before, both games had more heart to them than a majority of the shooters we have today, and for that it will always hold a place in my heart.
Been catching up on some of your recent videos al really love your consistently good work. I saw the first Titanfall and even though I never played it, it was immediately distinctive and recognisable as a brand. I bought Titanfall 2 as it was a single-player and fell in love with it. Although shorter than most campaigns I think it was so well-written and paced. Really repayable for me. Great work.
played titanfall 2 and streamed it for a very long time, played over 3,000 hours and loved every minute of it, truly a tragedy what happened to my favorite game series of all time, maybe something comes someday for the series, truly a masterpiece of passion
Titanfall 2 is one of the few FPSes where I play through the campaign at least once a year. Actually, only that one and Infinite Warfare (which had a fantastic campaign).
My favorite game of all time. I still play to this day. I wish I could experience it in its height. Even still, titanfall 2 will be the best campaign and multi-player I have played to date.
Titan fall 2 was such an experience. That level where you're in a factory that makes houses, running through houses actively being built... God that was memorable
I had never played this game till like a year ago(titanfall2) .....and it was amazing....the multiplayer was one of the only competitive mode i was good at ( other than goldeneye and the fourth call of duty) i miss it
Your reviews are always super informative and presented in an incredibly professional way. Great narration too. Nevermind that you guys are always honest, upfront and measured in the way you present your case. An island of calm in a chaotic information overload sea. Please keep up the good work. And I agree, 'Titanfall 2' was one of the best games I ever played. I can't count the number of times I played the multiplayer or went back through the single player story. Absolutely one of my favorites.
I maintain that not enough people watch this channel. I've seen every single video they've ever posted and it's well worth it. Everytime. SO well thought out and produced and it only gets better.
2:14 My God! The ost and the main theme for this game are masterpiece. Hope people are not forget how important the music because they can make the atmosphere for the game really great edit: one of my favorite ost of all time after all CoD and all Battlefield, except 2042.
I bought the first Titanfall immediately when released and out so many hours into it. It was the first time in a long time, I had been so deep into a game. I loved it so much, I didn't even care about everyone spamming the Smart Pistol haha.
I loved this video! Well made! I was one if those who missed the titanfall wave when it rose but i was very much up to date with the formation of respawn as that had been a big moment going from cod4 -cod 4 mw2
Even if we do ever get a new Titanfall, I'm not confident it would be the passion project that Titanfall 2 was. Especially now that EA officially own Respawn and Apex legends is literally a money printer. My prediction is that a third entry in the series would go the way of Battlefield, with a buggy release, a return to multiplayer focus, and much more monetisation.
This channel is on a very small list of people who can cover games I never had any interest in, and still have me hooked every single second of the video. Outstanding content.
I still hope they don’t give up Titanfall. Titanfall 2 campaign was one of the best campaigns I’ve ever played, and the multiplayer is damn good too. Hopefully we’ll get a 3rd game and it can get the love it deserves.
1 of the 12 people who worked on titanfall 1 and 2 are gone. Most of them work for Treyaech on Cod Modern Wafare 1 and 2 remakes. Thats why those games got good again. Sad to say it. If Titanfall 3 does get made. I doubt the existing dev would have what it takes to do Titanfall 3 any justice.
As the guy who exists there still is an Art Direction guy who works on Apex Legends(The guy who made all the artwork from the original 2 games. Like the banner stuff ect)
The main dev and owner still exists but even when the team was together he was the guy who was basically responsible for the instability at the board level of the company. Hes the reason the whole team got fired from Activision. Hes the reason the company aold to EA and he is the reason the other 10 devs left and went back to the company that had fired them
The majority of people who made Titanfall and Titanfall 2 have left Respawn. The company is a shell of what it was. It's ridiculous how they completely abandoned the franchise to hackers and there's no reason to believe they won't do the same thing again in the future.
I honestly only recently played titanfall2 I bought it a long time ago on sale but just never played it I think the marketing left me thinking it was a very different game Really solid game
This is devastating. TF2 is phenomenal. I thought that APEX really killed the franchise, but they obviously have enough staff to make other games, i.e. Jedi. Jedi is fine, but nowhere near as fun and replayable as Titanfall. Plus, the fact that respawn has distanced themselves from both games because of hackers making them completely unplayable. Absolutely heartbreaking.
After seeing what Apex has become I can't say I'm eager to see a new Titanfall game. I'd say, let the franchise rest in peace and be remembered for what it gave us rather than hoping that the current Respawn hires would deliver the fans something worth their time and money.
Yeah there's no way Titanfall 3 could exist after Apex. They'd adjust it too much for Apex fans so that Titanfall 1/2 fans would be completely alienated. If they didn't then Apex fans would just whine that the "small Titanfall community" shouldn't be catered to.
@@bruhtholemew you say it like there will be someone from the Apex team working on it besides the Art Direction guy(the literal only Titanfall 1 or 2 dev still working on a Titanfall property) It most likely wont even have him. Or it will be him working with the team who is making it. 10 of the original 12 devs are back at Treyarch and have been since Respawn sold to EA. Treyarch hired them back when they decided to remake their Previous COD games MW1 and 2. As they were Treyarchs best games before. And the remakes have become Treyarchs best games SINCE the team left/were fired and became Respawn.
Like the Art guy and the owner and reason for Respawns history of issue aee all that remains. And whilst the art guys was probably the most talented one there. He isnt what made the games good MW1 and 2 remakes are an examole of that IMO. And whilst theya rent perfect. They are BOTH 100% progress the genre further than Apex does. Hell play the 6 month old game of the year Apex Mobile. It dwarfs original Apex Legends. Purely because it has its own set of devs with freedom to take the game where it wants. We would have a better shot if they make the 3rd game
What a game Titanfall 2 was man..! I loved the campaign so much that i played through it 5 times. The graphics, the gunplay was great. I really do wish they would give us Titanfall 3 in the future. This was a good tribute video. Thanks.

Titanfall 2 is honestly one of my favorite games of all time. The single player experience is so well crafted and the multi-player is great (even though I kind of suck at it)
17:00 The action blco concept is so awesome and the agile methodology of game development The throwing pilot parts were some of my favorites I hope more companies take on this technique
I didn't own an Xbox One when Titanfall came out so I didn't play it on release. I was talking with friends and joked about how Titanfall was a dead game since it was pushed hard early on but then I heard nothing about it. Around when Titanfall 2 was announced they had a free weekend to play Titanfall and I figured I'd play and see how it really was. After 6 hours straight playing I called up my friends and complained to them that they didn't tell me this was one of the best first person shooters ever made. Bought Titanfall 2 day one and last I recall I was a 35th gen pilot
A Titanfall 3 which is way bigger and better than the previous 2 games exclusively for Xbox Series X|S, PS5 and PC is what we need! With crossplay options to only encouter console players and stunning graphics running at 60fps!
Fantastic video as usual. I LOVED og Titanfall. Played it on PC from launch til long after the player numbers tanked. Didn't get to play Titanfall 2 until a couple years ago. The single player was great. Multiplayer had already died by that point. All you could really play was whatever the basic tdm mode was called.
Remember for folks on PC you can still play titanfall 2 it's often on sale for less than $5, it's possible to get matches on the normal servers though buggy. If you want stability you can download the Northstar Mod which allows for custom servers with new game modes and more options.
@@artair70 Im playing daily without any problems lol. I jump between normal matchmaking and Northstar and both work fine. Only problem i have is that i get thrown out to menu while editing my classes sometimes but thats it.
@@artair70 As the other person said you will get thrown out of the matchmaking process while it's searching for match constantly but if you keep rejoining and trying again eventually you can connect to a game and once it starts it's rare to be kicked. Another option is trying different data centers which you can select from the bottom left of the main menu, for example I'm in the USA midwest but sometimes I play in London servers since typically I get games there much faster. Interesting thing is lately player numbers have been higher than usual it was just over 5000 last time I played a few days ago.
@@artair70 Well as I said it was working for me a few days ago and 5000 others, if it specifically doesn't work for you Northstar is still an option. I know plenty of players who were unsure of installing it but all you have to do is download the files and copy/paste it into your titanfall folder and then you use a custom launcher to start it.
26:55 I think it's important to mention that this player spike was due to a community effort that pushed for a movement for everyone to return to the game. Eventually this push got so large that it drew the attention of Respawn and they had made the game free over the weekend as well as giving the game a large discount on Steam..

My favorite game of all time. I still play to this day. I wish I could experience it in its height. Even still, titanfall 2 will be the best campaign and multi-player I have played to date.
“Trust me” will forever remain such an iconic line for this series, chills hearing BT say it 😢
The intro for this channel is getting intense! Thank you to the GVMERS team for pumping out consistent quality content 👌
And rise again, last whole weeks has averaged 20k players at any time on just steam
I have the ATLAS Figurine (Titanfall 1) & the Pilot Helmet (Titanfall 2) literally right next to me, on my desk. 10/10 memories.
Titan fall 2 was such an experience. That level where you're in a factory that makes houses, running through houses actively being built... God that was memorable
The time travel watch mission.... god that was good. To be bonest titanfall2 felt like a good game from about 10 years in the future
@@jacobs4545 now i gotta get it on steam and play it again
I think the title should have been The Rise and TitanFall!
Kidding! Great video as always!
Best gaming documentaries out there. 10/10!
I maintain that not enough people watch this channel. I've seen every single video they've ever posted and it's well worth it. Everytime. SO well thought out and produced and it only gets better.
2:14 My God! The ost and the main theme for this game are masterpiece. Hope people are not forget how important the music because they can make the atmosphere for the game really great
edit: one of my favorite ost of all time after all CoD and all Battlefield, except 2042.
I feel EA intentionally sabotaged Respawn, because they went on to buy the developer shorty after Titanfall 2.
You know it's over when your favorite franchises appear on this channel
As always, excellent work from the team.
Hes the reason the company aold to EA and he is the reason the other 10 devs left and went back to the company that had fired them
I love Titanfall!!! It is something else. The Chemistry between BT and his Pilot alone is off the Charts🤯 I demand the Resurgence of Titanfall.
this is the saddest one to me, Titanfall was like everything id have wanted out of a videogame
Playing it on Japanese was dope too
Replaying the Titanfall 2 campaign now for the third time and I realy appreciate how well put together it is.
The majority of people who made Titanfall and Titanfall 2 have left Respawn. The company is a shell of what it was. It's ridiculous how they completely abandoned the franchise to hackers and there's no reason to believe they won't do the same thing again in the future.
Bro sounds like the history channel. Production value overall
📈
I honestly only recently played titanfall2
I bought it a long time ago on sale but just never played it
I think the marketing left me thinking it was a very different game
Really solid game
27:44 a single tear of joy from my part, no more Titanfall, yes
This is devastating. TF2 is phenomenal. I thought that APEX really killed the franchise, but they obviously have enough staff to make other games, i.e. Jedi. Jedi is fine, but nowhere near as fun and replayable as Titanfall. Plus, the fact that respawn has distanced themselves from both games because of hackers making them completely unplayable. Absolutely heartbreaking.
Thanks for the video.
Like many EA-controlled franchises, TitanFall deserves more affection and respect.
@@bruhtholemew you say it like there will be someone from the Apex team working on it besides the Art Direction guy(the literal only Titanfall 1 or 2 dev still working on a Titanfall property)
It most likely wont even have him.
He isnt what made the games good
MW1 and 2 remakes are an examole of that IMO.
Apex is the worst thing to happen to titanfall
GIVE US TITANFALL 3 respawn!! we've waited long enough
R.I.P Titanfall
2014-2016
😭😥😢
No Titanfall 3
#SaveTitanfall
Apex Legends Lives up for Titanfall
Titanfall 2's the hyper action your childhood imagined when playing with all your toys mixed together.
IT'S BAAAAACK!!!
What a game Titanfall 2 was man..!
I loved the campaign so much that i played through it 5 times. The graphics, the gunplay was great. I really do wish they would give us Titanfall 3 in the future. This was a good tribute video.
Thanks.
The only reason the Titanfall franchise sank was because EA turned their attention to the new battle royal fad with Apex.
it's shocking after so many documentaries you don't have over 1mil. you guys produce quality content! here's looking at you!
THE MOST UNDER RATED GAME SERIES EVER TF2 WILL NEVER DIE
The announcement of Armored Core 6 made me miss this game, wild how you just made a video about it...👍
Titan Fall 2 is still amazing, i played it months ago such an awesome experience.
Titanfall 2 is such a gem. The visuals, performance, and gameplay are all amazing. I will always have this game installed on my PC. The campaign is so much fun. Love the time travelling part.
the rise and titanfall*
Why doesn’t this have at least a million views?? What a disgrace..
What a game.
So crazy to me that this dude doesn’t have like a million views per video at this point. I feel like this channels production is way above most other UA-cam gaming content
I personally loved titanfall 2 and it’s story it was really awesome and badass
I would love a Titanfall 3. i'm serious respawn i believe in you.
How can a timeless masterpiece "Fall"!? It stands proud and tall even today.
Clickbait
I'm a 43 years old dude, who plays games since the mid 80's and Titanfall 2 is one of the Best single player FPS i ever played.
Titanfall 2 is honestly one of my favorite games of all time. The single player experience is so well crafted and the multi-player is great (even though I kind of suck at it)
17:00 The action blco concept is so awesome and the agile methodology of game development
The throwing pilot parts were some of my favorites
I hope more companies take on this technique
The smart pistol was one of the coolest, most tactical guns I’ve ever seen in an fps
Thinking about Titanfall being abandoned has the same energy as my dog dying. It's just an inconsolable sadness.
Been playing Titanfall 2 at least once a week since 2016 and continue to do so in the Northstar servers! Still just as exhilarating as it was day 1.
Guys that title sequence intro WAS AWESOME!! It's always fantastic to see the actual fantastic minds behinds these videos/ docu series' 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾.
Excellent video as always. Titanfall 2's SP campaign remains to this day one of the best I've ever played.
Titanfall was definitely a favorite as a release title for xbox one, and the campaign pf titanfall 2 is legendary. Rip
This is a game I wish I never had to see on this channel. It hurts man
I didn't own an Xbox One when Titanfall came out so I didn't play it on release.
Bought Titanfall 2 day one and last I recall I was a 35th gen pilot
titanfalll 2 still remains my favorite shooter in the past 5 years
truly deserved so much more than what it got.
Any excuse to watch another deep dive into one of my favorite mech and first person games. Excellent video, thank you very much.
This dudes voice is insane makes me feel like I'm in school watching a documentary I love it so much
A Titanfall 3 which is way bigger and better than the previous 2 games exclusively for Xbox Series X|S, PS5 and PC is what we need! With crossplay options to only encouter console players and stunning graphics running at 60fps!
19:06
Respawn citing "Suisei no Gargantia" as an inspiration is the most left field hit I've heard.
Don’t know what you’re playing servers have been MIA for well over a year, almost never get a match
@@InMaTeofDeath I played a few months back and literally could never get any matches and that was after the DDOS attacks
Always a good day when you release a video 👌👌
