Wow memories! The first time I had a White House sub I was a young man in my 20s, and I was floored how good it was. Just for the freshness alone, it stood above any sub or hoagie I ever had before. I don't know if it's still the case, but I think they would get their rolls baked fresh from right across the street.
Thank goodness, they use whole lettuce leaves instead of it being shredded. This gives the sandwich crunch. The next day you take the part you didn’t eat out of the fridge, and it still has crunch, not a watery mess in the middle. Can’t wait till I get to Atlantic City.
Looked like a good sub...I grew up in Wilmington just south of Philly, and that reminded me of the subs I had as a kid...As soon as you get above Marcus Hook from Delaware they start calling subs hoagies and you'll find sesame seeds on the bun and they sometimes put like mayonnaise and mustard on that thing.

Looks good, sorry I missed this place last time I was in AC. The "pop" on an Italian Sub comes from the dressing- usually oil/vinegar/oregano/pickled peppers. I like the way they fold the meat under itself into the sandwich.
I go here frequently when i visit a friend in Abseacon...... awesome food ! My mouth is to little to put around these hoagies / cheesesteaks 😂! Alot of nostalgia in there

I've had that White House Special many times. Best Italian Sandwich by a mile. Nothing competes. The bread is Amazing. I prefer it cold in the fridge the next day. The only other Sandwich shop that competes is the White House Sub location in Hard Rock. Great meat balls too.
White House Submarine Sandwich shop! Probably the best submarine sandwich in the country according to your dad. That's fabulous that you and him touring the country for the best eats! That sandwich looked so much better than SUBWAY Ilike SUBWAY but I think the old fashioned recipe and the owners values is what we should have today. The increase in price keeps that recipe in place. They're not cutting corners. It's a great place. Love the decor in blue and peach nice.

There’s also a White House sub spot in the hard rock in Atlantic City as well if ur looking for a in house location. The number of times I lost $ at the casino went up to use my points to buy a sub brought it to the room and pigged out 😅

I live about 45 minutes from there in Cape May County. And I can say I’ve been there too many times to count. They used to have better rolls on my opinion but still great subs.

A co-worker was from Wildwood, and she moved to Wayne. Every time she went back down to Wildwood, she had to stop at White House for a tuna sub.
