Man. I Have a peugeot 107 for 4 years and you are a life saver! I Have done most of you videos about this car. Fixed the leaking back hood and now this! You are a life saver. Thanks a lot for your help and your videos.
Thanks, just what I needed to see. On aygo managed to remove plug by inserting screw driver in ridge in plastic and levering off. Then pull rubber seal off. By looking at 2:45 on video was able to identify that clip is at top. Put finger in (blindly) until I felt the wire loop, then pressed and moved to side. Wire clip then opened allowing bulb removal. When reassembling move the wire looms well out of the way before trying to refit the bottom of the rubber seal. This approach worked for me without removing the headlight.
Absolutely no need to take the headlight out - can easily be done with the headlight in. The only tricky part is finding the clip and knowing which way it slides to release the bulb, but there are lots of videos here showing that.
Tricky part for me was just removing the plug connector, everything else was easy. Just no room to get purchase on the connector to pull it off the bulb. need to take care when removing the bumper, from the bracket the clips from bimber to bracket were stronger than bracket to car, hense my bracket broke. Another tenner to the cost. Video on whole though was helpful.
@@lewispearce6043 I got the wife to do it. I tried and my hands just wouldn't fit in the space available. Her hands, no problem. Finding the clip is the solution. Do that and the rest really is dead easy. Not the only car though with poorly though out design. On my old Corsa, I had to remove the air filter box to have any hope of changing the bulb.
Just a foot note....you can pick up brand new headlamp units on E.bay for just over £100 ( that is for a pair )....as the 107 is such a small car I believe it is worth doing this if the headlights look dull or crazed as they represent about 20% of the front elevation of the car ....did mine and the car looks like new now .
There's surely no need to disassemble anything to change bulbs on the triplets! I gave a thumbs up for the video (effort). But it's a ridiculous amount of work for nothing! Trust me on this I do have big hands and can do it on any 107/C1/Aygo, Toyota Yaris, etc. Whenever you have the chance learn how the bulb clip work. The moment you dominate that, you'll be able to change pretty much ANY bulb in almost any car without disassembling anything. ;-) Cheers
Great educational video to get a good look at what's going on. I'd recommend trying with a mirror first to anybody watching the power supply and clip holding the bulb in isnt normally that difficult to remove and to reattach .

Hi. I own a Toyota Aygo and I really like your tutorials about the old C1. Is it possible to download all the materials about C1 to see it offline? Thank you very much for sharing in all this years.
Do not attempt to remove the headlights. On old cars like my wife's the plastic that holds the bumper broke. It took me a good hour to figure out how to save the situation. It sounds tedious but worth the time to just remove the connector as is from the bulb trust me! On old cars thing will snap off especially if they made of plastic.
Thanks for a very useful video. I was considering paying to get my headlight bulb replaced. But after seeing this video, I decided to try it for myself. The screw you removed from the buttom of the bumber (inside the wheel hole), what size of screw is that? Because on mine it used a plastic thing, that broke after removal.
Just replaced mine and I had the same issue. The plastic screw head just warped when I used a screwdriver. Ended up breaking it too, but no biggie it seems.
You may not have to remove the headlight to change the bulb. Check out this video here for alternate method: ua-cam.com/video/HneQ7f3ppCo/v-deo.html&lc=UgxHxvKq8MaZXxUPHi54AaABAg&ab_channel=Biggles Keep it mind that you need to push the metal spring a bit to the side and then it should come down with little effort. I first tried to take the headlight out. Luckily, I failed, because so many screws and bolts were too rusty so my tools could not handle them. Then I had another try at removing the bulb without removing the entire headlight, as detailed in the video that I linked, and it worked. :)
I changed the same in less than 1 minute without disassembling anything, if you have to change the engine oil what do you do, take off the engine? Alex Italy
Help!.. is it possible to change the beam of the headlight from a RHD to a LHD?? Anybody knows?.. New headlights are very very expensive..any help appreciated.
I have large hands and I can tell you there is absolutely no need to unclip the bumper and remove the headlamps. The tricky part is removing the power connector and refitting the bung. Clip holding the bulb, press in and slide left as you're looking at the front of the car. Then just reverse everything when you fit the new bulb(s) Making sure the bulb lines up with the notches and is secure when the clip is placed back. Some people may find it easier than others.

Good to known, very reasssuring before starting :),no extra tricks to expect

This is the best video ever! finally someone showing the real stuff in life and not replacing the bulb in a removed headlight. Thanks for sharing!

I have destroyed my hands trying to do so. I hope the engineers of this system will burn in hell
@@Labramike ya i fiddled with it for ages aswell. Until this guy took the headlight out, and i could see how to release the clip. Easy from that on!

Currently trying to do it without taking the headlight housing out and it is so painful. Got blisters on my hand trying to do it

Netjes hoor . Was zo veel makkelijker dan dat gemartel zonder de bumper stukje los te halen

But you didn't have to remove the headlight, i changed mine without removing headlight

Great help, but why make it so difficult in the first place 🤔
In Sweden we have a saying that says; "If you can complicate things, just do it" he here seems to live by that motto .. IoI
I speak for the Aygo : With a dental mirror you only need 5 minutes to change the H4 bulb...without disassemble anything
Not a dentist but did in secs with feel. Glad I read comments however.
Great tutorial, thanks!
Thanks. Got it! My car is also yellow! Best colorxever
Hay que desmontar medio coche para cambiar una bombilla😲 Muy bien por
PEUGEOT, MUY BIEN, y por los ingenieros
@Hugo M
si , con paciencia se pueden cambiar sin desmontar medio coche
Thanks for sharing
Too much long of a process. U can just remove and refit the bulb without all this hassle
For left one it is very hard. Right headlight has more space.
The bumper is not held on by bolts round the wheel arch. Mine has rivets
Hi, and many thanks for video. Any idea how to regulate high on main lamps? And not with the interior switch.. Thanks in advance
Thanks a lot for this trick
thanks man, I owe you one!
?
No need to take it off! I have big hands (size 11/12) and did it without disassembling it, I just removed the negative pole of the battery
Good job👍
And now, the bumper below the headlight needs some paint !!!
It's called, doing a job and, making another.. crap workmanship !
I noticed that too. A real shame to cause such damage totally unnecessarily.

Muchas gracias amigo, te estoy muy agradecido ya que es muy difícil cambiar la lámpara porque no hay espacio para las manos, un abrazo
Merci !
frig taking the headlight out- fiddly but easily doable

Please do you have make e tutorial for the headlight beam adjustment? Vertical and orizzontal.
Tried to remove the light yesterday. My hands are to big to remove the bulb dromen the inside.
No hace falta desmontar todo con un poco de paciencia en 3 minutos la cambias por su sitio sin des montar medio coche

Great!!
in aygo to change that bulb it is easier to remove the battery, but on both sides changing molten bulbs is a bad business

Great job! You must have small hands
How can I clean inside the headlight?
Help!.. is it possible to change the beam of the headlight from a RHD to a LHD?? Anybody knows?.. New headlights are very very expensive..any help appreciated.
No es necesario quitar el faro amigo par cambiar la lámpara
take under 5 mins on my aygo whit no mirrow or anything
You CAN do it this way but it is NOT the right way, haha ..
That's an awful lot of work to replace the bulb. Much easier to do it with a make-up mirror to undo an re-do the metallic clip.
As I said, I did it in 10 minutes. I tried to do it from behind the headlight, I was unable to disconnect the connector and I gave up.
Must be a small difference in accessebility between the 107 and C1 then, because you are normally a better mechanic with 1 hand than I am with 2 ;-)
@@fixanddrive I did it in c1 2006 without removing the bumper a bit. But you have to do some things blindly. Your video helped. Space is short.

10min
That’s like waaaaaay to long
Why" never touch the glass part"?
It might blow out sooner.
So far everything is ok, but watching the video made me dizzy...

Sorry , i remove nothing to change the bulb .
so you have smart little hands, lucky you :)
Pas besoin de démonter le phare ! Çà se fait en 2 minutes !,,sans démontage !....😡😡👎👎👎👎👎👎
omg you didnt change anything !!
That’s so stupid.

I only came here to see how to do the clip and you skipped it. So disappointed.
Are you sure the clip is not shown at 2:48?
@@fixanddrive it's been cut, didnt get to see all the action.
Or just squeeze your hand in there, pull down the plug and replace the bulb in 2 minutes without taking your car apart....🤨🤫😒

Wow all that to fit a bulb.
