I miss them days hanging out with my friends in Arena and just all the Heros derping around with you, no one cared for level you'd AOE for fun on everyone and everyone would come back like COME HERE! Just utter fun
I remember playing overnight with cookies and mountain dew while everyone is sleeping. Experiencing The world of flyff just flying around was just incredible.
It was, and there was lots untill you hit around lvl 100. Then it all became a grind and a quest for gold so you could get better gear so you could lvl and so on. And then the inflation hit, making everything crazy expensive and made it almost impossible for new players to level unless you had a high friend who played the game.
1:17 Used to only hear this when servers were down or login was taking too long. It's seriously beautiful. I'm a grown-ass adult now. Life doesn't always answer when you knock, but it can make you realize the good things that were in the background all along.
12 years since I quit... This was the first song that greeted me on the very first day. And the first song I'd hear every day I'd get ready to go and discorver new people, new locations and make new friends. A song that told me "Fun stuff ahead!" Now when I listen to it. It has a kind of sad ring in it. Kind of can hear how the world that's beyond that log in screen is vast and amazing(for a MMO in those days) but it's crying. Crying for people to come and enjoy again. Have fun. Team up. Fool around and bond toghether. Why am I tearing up?
MMOs are so clunky before but the experience is waaay to good compared to the modern ones. There are lots of social interaction, silly picture poses and childish PKs.
I know... I once in a while just look up all the music from flyff and get goosebumps with every fucking tune.. this was our life from chatting at the bangs, flying back to flaris town to set up shop or fly over to saint morning and see how the giggleboxes were holding up
This game had such a cool mythology behind it. It also didn't overload with you quests or text so it was super easy to get immersed into the world. I think I'm going to pick it up again, I miss it :(

I just wish I could go back to not giving a fuck about certain game mechanics, bussiness models or the game being popular or not. I'm quite sure I could convince a friend or 2 to play it again but it will last a few days and that's about it.

people use to hang out at the bangs an shit there was some sort of community back in v7-v10. the game didn't FEEL like an endless grind because there were other people. quests felt like they mattered, and the servers were populated. now it's just a skeleton dev team implementing the basic bug fix every few months, a dead and almost completely vacant game. it can't even be called a shell of its former self anymore. remember when darkon was filled with tons of people and their shops? it's not like that anymore. there are maybe 1/20 the amount of shops their use to be on average in every arena. the economy is shit now, completely inflated filled with dupers my point is you will never experience a game like this in it's early stages again.
The impact of this soundtrack to me is beyond something else! This was the song that made my day of everyday, wake up knowing another fun day of flyff, go to bed knowing stuff got completed in flyff. I might try a private server again to catch some what the feels of this game again :D

You'd get a whole group of random players into the party and then all grind or just chill, and every now and then the Boss Bang would show up and the weaker players would either run away or everyone would jump in and obliterate the thing. I tried making a new character last year, for old time's sake. Chose Assist because I figured everyone liked having a healer around, and the fist weapon is cool, and I also figured their ability to deal damage to a stack of enemies would be useful for grinding. Mostly the only people left are really high-level, or low-level bots used to sell stuff. It's a real shame. I still solo'd up to level 20 just so I could get my board and fly around a bit for one last hurrah. Bittersweet memories. Honestly, if I could get a group of people to make new characters, I feel like it'd be awesome to power through together as one unified party. This song just reminds me of that whole year and some change I spent in the game. It was a good time all around, until the grind really kicked in around level 40.

I also remember the times where Darken was so populated with players that it would lag for a few seconds once you used the blinkwing to teleport there. Now there is no one, and it is deserted, and it makes me feel lonely.
There's some private servers around... but it's filled with Koreans and Indonesians... People who don't really speak the English language. No one is really friendly either... they would rather scam you in some way than party up and have fun :/ That was pretty much my Flyff experience... never got a chance to experience the good side of Flyff. I went on the Official (and dead) Flyff because I heard it was a lot like Luna Online. I got bored really quickly because of the lack of ANYONE being there.

I wasn't a hardcore player. I played it a few months with friends back in late 2007 - early 2008. But that's enough for me to have flashbacks to that time when I was 13 just from listening to the login screen soundtrack.
I remember as if it was yesterday, when in 2009 I've been begging for my father to let me download that game on that old crusty office PC he's given to me. It took basically 12 hours to boot up that launcher and as soon as it finished I shut off my PC to go to sleep for the next day at school, excited to finally play as an Assist. The online friends and enemies I've made in all those years to come. I can't even imagine what would've happened to my development cicle if I turned my back on that game

I played fiesta as a kid. I tried flyff once, but one of the first quests I couldn't find the mailbox. This music makes me think of what a world of magic and fun I could have missed..
I was 10 years old when I first met flyff for fun. Really, every time I started the game and this melody started, I felt like I was transported to a totally different world, where I could fly with my magic broom or with angelic wings. Today at 25 years old, I remember this with great affection, thank you for making my childhood a better place Gpotato. Flyff for fun forever in my heart 🫶🏻

I started my first mmorpg with last chaos and my friend showed me flyff i though that game sucks cause i never played it.. but if im honest this game rocked my life so .. srsy im sometime drunk and listen to this old songs from flyff think about the old good times and start to cry.. Damn nostalia is the worst sickness ever..

Man I miss the community in this online game, everyone was so nice and helpful, partying together and grow together as a guild. Literally my first mmorpg online game and I was 13 back then.
Oh my giberidy gash man I remember so much yet so little about this game. Some of the themes I remember I don't know where they came from then I find out it is Flyff. Flyff is just amazing in so many ways and it was my first MMORPG that I have ever played. It was so fun cause I used to play with my bro on a very crappy computer that couldn't handle going to Flaris xD

I played fiesta as a kid. I tried flyff once, but one of the first quests I couldn't find the mailbox. This music makes me think of what a world of magic and fun I could have missed..

I was 10 years old when I first met flyff for fun. Really, every time I started the game and this melody started, I felt like I was transported to a totally different world, where I could fly with my magic broom or with angelic wings. Today at 25 years old, I remember this with great affection, thank you for making my childhood a better place Gpotato. Flyff for fun forever in my heart 🫶🏻
