I think it was like my 1st year of wrestling when this happened and I didn’t understand why my team wanted to go watch this. I now regret not going, lol
These two wrestlers going to be excited to watch in the Big Ten for next two years. Gable at Univ of Minnesota and Greg is at Penn State this upcoming fall 2020
How did the ref not award Kerkvliet the escape at 7:25? What am I missing? Not saying it ultimately affected the match much, but just not understanding. He was completely free and immediately went for the takedown, but ref called stalemate and kept Kerkvliet on bottom.
That was a bad call by the official. Once Kerkvliet faced Gable he established and met criteria for neutral position. The only way this call stands is if Gable has his hands locked around Kerkvliet. Then Gable would still be considered to have continued control. Surprised Kerkvliet’s coach didn’t request a conference with the official for clarity.
So everybody but you is wrong?? Including Greg himself😂😂😂. He prefers his middle name to his first. Not all that uncommon for yutes who wrestle in upper weight classes and hail from Minnescroata. Hope this helps.
@@sheldonmuse6657Gable was not 220 for this match😂😂😂. Look at that mfker. Beast. Greg might have been 220. I'm pretty sure this was one of those super matches with Greg stepping up to wrestle Gable regardless of weight difference.
I don’t think you understand how weight works Greg already bumped up I think it was 2 weight classes or one I can’t remember but any added weight your body isn’t used to it it’s amazing how gable moves and he weighs so much
@@kaelencaudill8407 I know exactly how weight works dumbass the smaller guy especially giving up more than 20 to thirty pounds will wear out especially in high school where the wrestling room is not a tough but in college it evens out a lot of times.
Lmao the consistent lack of effort- especially in final period- of heavyweights is laughable. Ofc I understand the “reasoning” for it, but still hilarious.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who views that way. I hate watching heavyweights wrestle. Although these guys are the exception. There's just more competition at weight between 120-170

Kerkvliets shoes look like they haven’t been unlocked yet

Kerkvliet could be wrestling for PSU this March

Oh how right you were
Legendary match between two awesome wrestlers, I'm looking forward to seeing more of Greg in the NCAAs
Gotta love when 2 schools appreciate wrestling like this
That was a fun match to watch in person
Anyone see tam myth?

Gary Hogan he went right for the take down so he was still on bottom, if he waited and then shot, he would have gotten his points

Someone get that kid commentating a job. I don’t even know these guys and I was excited.
I’m just gonna wonder how many of these college wrestlers will be UFC top contenders in the next 5 years✍🏽😏
Nah they usually go train for the olympics/world games.
These aren’t college wrestlers
Kenny DaVocalist bruh this is Highschool
Gable is college now, Greg is also at osu now. If they want money and real fame they go ufc.
Daniel said he plans on being a future UFC heavyweight, on his IG.
Awesome!
So why is Kerkvliet sometimes called Greg and sometimes Danny?
Tdavid G his namd is daniel greg kerkvliet, but he likes being called greg
Tdavid G yes I was wondering that lol he’s the #1 guy?
Tdavid G thats what we call him in wrestling
Now Gable is an Gold Olympian!!
How was that not a take down for gable on the near side going out of bounds?
Aaron C his left foot dragged out of bounds. This is why I hate high school rules.
Gable is just effortless
gabe duchesneau nah he’s just that much better
Anthony Cassar owns Gable
@@MK-qz6iu that was then this is now
Is there anyway you can post more vids of gable Stevenson wrestling or is there a website I can visit to watch more of his new wrestling videos???????
Flowrestling.com
Most of his folkstyle matches don’t go past the first period
Damn, they were making money off these kids EARLY.
I just want to know what they feed you in Minnesota 💪
true story size wise, but the real nutritions in PA....no doubt tho, those guys are beasts
@@RPOBMXBTQ no doubt Pennsylvania is number one in wrestling
1700 people DAMNNN OU hasn't done that in prolly 4 combined duals lmao
Elijah Finn not 1700 700
at 2:20 it says clearly 1700. I mean he could be wrong but people don't miss by that much
It was 1700 people I was there
He said 1700
First off it’s Daniel not Greg
He prefers to be called greg, that's his middle name 😑
Oh yeah dude just the announcer and the whole crowd got his name wrong, of course he prefers to be called greg

Glad I didn’t have to wrestle him that year
@Domer the kid, Why not u might have learned something.
Minnesota monsters 👹

Master Spach I think at this time, they was 220

They were same weight in their college matches and Gable won every time.

Ryan Bergen thats why middlwweights are much more fun to watch. Because they do stuff. And pins are more common.
Ryan Bergen wrestle heavyweight

Josiah Lynden its a chess match. It’s not a lack of effort. Take shots on a 285 lbs man and get sprawled on then talk.

I really can't watch wrestling. The rules are pure shit. I can't stand how quickly they force them back up instead of giving time to work. It's a joke
Tfo then? Wyd here bitching like a bitch?
