I really feel for Islam about not been exited enough.. unlike other division LW have no real contender in champ level, they are all average like Dustin and Armen.. no one really see them winning against Islam.. and this is bad for business for Islam as champ, his fights against those will sell less, people won't be hyped.. and he won't be motivated to face them.. He should move up to 170 after Dustin.. Let Armen fight for interim title and build his name more as real contender

What i wanna see is Shavkat Rakhmonov vs Islam Makhachev, thats my dream fight in LW/WW. And i do think Shavkat has a chance of beating Leon before Islam moves up.
Its true everytime they put a camera on arman first he says is i would beat islam in a rematch 😂 they called his bluff and even 7 weeks wasnt enough for his dream to finally come true. Not sure how claiming to have the skills to beat islam can exist at the same time with saying 7 weeks isnt enough to prepare
I don’t mind fighters wanting more time to prepare for a fight, especially if that fight is for the belt.
Having said that, Arman is not ready to take on Makhachev at the moment; and even he knows that.
