Yes! You should have an aby in your every pedal video so we can hear the pedal into two amps. It's not like you don't have enough amps.

It's British. You need the roll bar to protect the pedal when you smash the guitar. Now where I come from, in sandtwitastan, someone might think they are punishment sandals if you get caught playing a guitar. You have to wear them for a week and run 10 miles in them.

I own the two stroke and fur coat and just bought the kongpressor and amp detonator and I'm seriously considering the bax bangeetar next. Orange is becoming my favorite line of pedals. After buying a dark terror amp, I'm hooked.

      Brother from another mother :p
Dark Terror-two PPC112-Two Stroke-Kongpressor Check! Amp detonator is next I think. The newer Orange pedals don't look as good imho

Wait, am I hearing it wrong or is your dog is called Kongo? That's me. Anyway I just went and tried the Two Stroke today (I just clicked to see what the Detonator was because I never heard of it and have been suddenly impressed by a host of Orange pedals for the first time) and got it because it was incredible tool. I tried it with a horrible guitar into a horrible amp and it just has so many possibilities and so much control over the sound I could make it sound great. I also got the Fur Coat and Kongpressor yesterday. Never paid attention to Orange before but damn, ALL those pedals were good and I don't even buy guitar gear anymore. They were an absolute bargain on sale too, which is why I gave them a shot.

its called the detonator because you can switch on and detonate(set off) your different amps! its pretty clear lol

Is it possible to use the Orange Detonator ABY to have a dry / wet stereo amplifier thing With the time based and modulation pedals on one channel on a clean amp and the dry on another amp that may or may not be clean.

Hi Henning great review and thank you for your work, it helps me a lot in chosing all my guitar stuff.
I have a mini rig with the Tiny K from Kammer (bought after your review), a delay and i’m considering to buy an “advance boost” to put it in front of the Kammer and push the OD channel into High Gain. This pedal could do the job well but i’m evaluating the Red Ruby booster (mad professor) and the Angry Troll Way Huge too. Which of the three do you consider the best for this job?
    Thanks

I know very little about electronics. But trying to learn while saving up money. I want to use the detonator to run a micro terror amp for clean and micro dark for gain through a Hartke XL410 bass cab. Will the cab take this or is there a specific reason why I'd need 12" instead of 10" speakers? 12x4 seems to be a guitar cab standard and I don't know why. But I happen to already own this cab and no amp
    A few specs:
    Dual-Chamber, Dual-Ported Cabinet
Four Hartke XL 10" Aluminum-Cone Bass Drivers
    Power Handling: 400 Watts @ 8 Ohms
Frequency Response: 30 Hz To 5 kHz
    Sensitivity: 98 dB @ 1 W/1 M
    Voice Coil: 1.5"
    Magnet Weight: 60 Oz
Don't know if these specs are relevant to my question. But I'm thinking dual chamber and ported means I can plug 2 amps in. Hopefully someone here can tell me more before I buy 2 amps and a pedal and then have to wait until I sold my cab before I can even use them
And even though I think this is a good basic setup, figuring out where to put other pedals in the chain will be a whole other learning curve. A fun one though... I hope

I'd like to get the Two Stroke and the Kongpressor for myself for my birthday in October 😀. I'm curious what are you powering the Two Stroke with, most comments I've read about the Orange pedals is that you're better off using a 12V power supply. Is there any in particular that you would recommend?

EytschPi42 thanks for the reply. Would you say that goes for Fur Coat and the Getaway Driver you reviewed as well? I'm pushing the button on some Tone City pedals today trying to figure out if I need to budget for a power supply

I literally just got the Two Stroke, Kongpressor and Fur Coat and I don't even buy guitar gear anymore because I just stick to what I already have and I have been using for work for years.
I saw them on bargain and gave them a shot. They were all ridiculously good. I have also never even considered Orange before for any kind of gear, especially wouldn't have thought they made such good pedals since I only hear about them making amps. They were insanely cheap and I just gave them a shot and every single one delivered something surprising. I am usually massively underwhelmed by any new guitar gear I come across...

@@EytschPi42 Hello . I have a prs santana singlecut , that does not offer a single coil option, an expert told me that this orange two stroke amp can convert humbuckers into singlecoil tone. Is it so??, please confirm, it will help me buying this or leaving. Thanks.

I don’t know about the EQ pedal, but the Orange ABY sounds like a turd on the B channel, and is expensive junk.

it actually sounded better imo with the phase switch on- imagine adding just a touch of delay and compression onto the clean amp, and, turning up the master volume just a cunt hair on the dirty amp...
