God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference. Living one day at a time, enjoying one moment at a time, accepting hardship as a pathway to peace. Taking, as Jesus did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it. Trusting that you will make all things right if I surrender to your will, so that I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with you forever in the next. - Reinhold Niebuhr

SERENITY PRAYER God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference, The patience for the things that take time, appreciation for all that we have Tolerance for those with different Values and the freedom to live beyond the limitations of our past ways, the ability to feel your love for us and our love for each other and the strength to get up and try again even when we feel it's hopeless
Thinking a little this morning. Looking at myself from the inside, it's like I'm in a huge, dark forest full of who knows what dangerous beasts. When I look at myself from the outside, it's like I'm standing in a meadow, looking at the same forest but able to see trees in the sunlight. There could be dangerous beasts, but there are also deer and birds. It's not as dark and foreboding - not perfect, but not the thing of which nightmares are made. Now, if only I could see that forest through God's eyes, what a difference that might make.
Karen thank you for sharing your inside - outside perspective of yourself. May you be reminded and find comfort knowing God's eyes see you both inside and out - as his treasure and as a daughter of the most high King! You are a daughter of the King of Kings, a holy princess with strengths and abilities to be used in His kingdom. It means that you are a cherished member of God’s royal family, given access to the fullness of His love and provision. You are not a slave nor a hired hand for God. You are God’s beautiful creation whom He celebrates. Don't lose God's perspective Be Blessed Bucky
That’s why I came to Jesus. I could NOT be the kind, loving person I wanted to be without Him. ❤
I can't agree more bean field - I cannot be the person I want to be - without Jesus Thank you for sharing Bucky

Matt the Serenity Prayer is so encapsulating and beautiful Bucky
Great line ( the same God who made us also made time.)
Yes, Stephen, so good. - Brad
Oh. My. Goodness. I love you. I love God. I love truth even when it stings. Bottom line: I am self centered. Running your own show is exhausting.
Your honesty is beauty and invites God's love and power. - Brad
