Isaac was 17, Taylor 15, and Zac 12 in this. they are singing live, playing their own instruments live, and they wrote this song, as well as all of the other songs on their album. Yet they had no respect. everyone just thought of them as a novelty. If they made the exact same album (middle of nowhere) but where in their twenties when they made it, they would have won all the awards and gotten all the respect they deserved rather then being treated like a joke. 20 years later and they are still making good music. Maybe they are not selling out arena's or ten million copies of their albums, but they are doing it on their own terms and that matters more then anything else.
I cannot imagine a grandmother leaving any sweeter legacy than grandsons who create and express such beautiful sentiments and share the beauty of music with all generations. Truly a language of love this family knows from one generation to the next. Thank you, Hanson brothers. This is very healing in times fraught with so much familial and cultural estrangement. Wow.
You can hear the pain in Taylor's voice too..it hurts me knowing that this song is dedicated to their late grandmother, I'm sure she is really proud of them❤❤
Watching this the evening after having my great uncles memorial today, he didn't want a funeral because he didn't like people making a fuss about him and he didn't like the attention.
I rarely listen to this song. Not because it isn't good but because every time, it plucks at my heart strings. That tug of tears every time. So beautiful. Thank you boys for all you have done and keep doing. Much love!
My momma 🩷 Had to edit... Been a fan since 1997. My mom was the best mom. She accompanyed me and my twin sis at Hanson's concerts in Iowa and KC. she was a beautiful selfless person! Love you mom!
I've said since I was obsessed with them in grade school and now still at 35, I want this song played at my funeral! Beautiful song, beautiful lyrics! 😊
This is incredibly beautiful and poignant. So much emotion. There's no more bands like these anymore. Grateful to have beem a witness to the phenomenon that is Hanson. Their music does not age, because it is full of heart, soul and talent.
Same here it felt like they were sharing my grief with them it felt tay had his arm around me singing this song to me when I lost my best friend to suicide 5 years ago I'm still grieving
You can see the hurt in their eyes as they sing since this song was dedicated to their late grandmother..it hurts me too and heals me at the same time🥺❤
Someone just lost their mom to Coronavirus, I send them to this song ❤️ it’s always helped me, especially a couple months ago when I lost my dad. He loved Hanson because they were true performers, not just kids, real lyrics, real vibe, real talent. He liked that I loved (YOU) so much.
This song has helped me a lot over the years when someone I love leaves this life but one of the only reasons I know this song is because my friend Lisa was obsessed with Hason since they first debuted. We lost her on Friday and this song could not hold any more meaning to me then it does now.
I lost my grandfather around the same time as they lost their grandmother, I just didn't know it at the time because I had no idea who they were until 1997. This song made me cry for him . My mom was a huge fan of theirs and she asked that this song be played at my Dad's funeral. All of my childhood friends and I were in our very early twenties when he passed and we asked her if she was trying to destroy us lol. She passed in our late twenties. My brother and I had this played at her funeral. That was in 2012. In 2016, my uncle passed. We didn't use this, buy we sang it. Same for my Mimi in 2019. Then my aunt passed December 29th and I'm barely getting through listening to it this time. These guys are so immensely talented and have been such a big part of my life. They are so underrated. They deserve respect for all that they do musically ans otherwise.
I'm just gonna have to go back and listen to the whole album. Middle of Nowhere was my first CD (way back when I was 10). Now 21 years later, it's still one of my favorite albums, and one of a handful I memorized.
WITH YOU IN YOUR DREAMS If I'm gone when you wake up please, don't cry And if I'm gone when you wake up, It's not goodbye Don't look back at this time as a time of heartbreak and distress Remember me, remember me 'cause I'll be with you in your dreams Oh, oh, oh But If I'm gone when you wake up please, don't cry And if I'm gone when you wake up don't ask why Don't look back at this time as a time of heartbreak and distress Remember me, remember me 'cause I'll be with you in your dreams...Oh, oh Don't cry I'm with you Don't cry I'm by your side Don't cry I'm with you Don't cry I'm by your side And though my flesh is gone, whoa I'll still be with you at all times And although my body's gone, oh I'll be there to comfort you at all times Oh, oh But If I'm gone when you wake up please, don't cry And if I'm gone when you wake up don't ask why Don't look back at this time as a time of heartbreak and distress Remember me, remember me 'cause I'll be with you Don't cry... I don't want you to cry and weep, oh I want you to go on living your life I'm not sleeping an endless sleep, oh 'Cause in your heart you have all of our good times Oh, all of our good times And if I'm gone when .. .
They have that it factor I agree if they had been all older they would have been treated mire seriously BUT you csn tell how much more mature they were plus they are still relevant now. That song is such a truth about where we go when we die and how true it is I told my daughter when I pass away I want that song played I told her that when they were first on the scene and I reminded her not long ago and she said yes she still remembered that. ❤❤😅 I loved them back in the day and I still love their 1st album I dont care what anyone says
This song got me through the grief of my Grama and my daddy!! I love you young men!! I’m so thankful y’all still are singing!! Remember to always put Father God first!! Y’all were given a great talent from God! ✝️❤️✝️🍃🌸🦋
Mi adolescencia fue con los Hanson. Muy buenas canciones para adolescentes, letras muy románticas donde nosotros se las dedicavamos anuestraa novias en la adolescencia...
This song has meant so much to me for well over 23 years. It helped me with the loss of a loved one. I’ve passed it on to others at their times of loss. I always meant to write to the boys to let them know how much this touched my heart. It’s hard to believe it was written by young kids. This song moved me and helped me so much that I named my son Taylor so that I would never forget the Hanson boys. Maybe I’m nuts idk..🤪
Their voices are the real instruments, really amazing at such a young age and accomplished on their own! In 2022 they are older and even better than ever!
Praise the Lord for that song it is so true I want everyone that cones to my passing my celebration of life I want them to esch have the wirds to that song printed off and handed out
Beautiful song...I lost my grandma in 2020, she was everything to me. :( Love you guys since 1996. And this year, 2022, my dream will come true, I will go to Hanson concert in Brazil.
Back then people used to tease us fans about liking them, even though we ourselves were still teens/kids. Yet Hanson's music was always about more mature topics and the boys wrote the songs themselves. Unlike the music we hear today from the same age bracket. I never regretted my love for them back then
I always loved this song but 5 yrs ago i lost my granny and this song helped me. Then last october my fiance passed away and now it means more to me bc he was a secret hanson fan whos favorite song was Lucy.
I remember this song i lost my grandma young to i was 11 years old in 1996 when my grandma died she was like another mother to me She always took me out to eat and took me on trips like sea world gave me all her old makeup and purses to play with when i was little miss my grandma to
This is a very comforting song since I lost my best friend to suicides she was like a sister to me I love and miss her so much wherever she is I hope she is at peace

They're true to themselves and that's why I love them so much.
Well said
Exactly
Il talento troppo grande spesso non è capito abbastanza (Too great talent is often not understood enough )
I have been with them all the way and have a huge respect for them true musicians who are weathering well
One of the most underrated bands of all time. So much talent.

Their music had maturity beyond their years and they just keep getting better. I've been a fan since the beginning 💜
I have been a fan since 1996. This song came out the same year I woke up and found my mom deceased.
Watching this the evening after having my great uncles memorial today, he didn't want a funeral because he didn't like people making a fuss about him and he didn't like the attention.
My father passed away a few weeks ago; I listened to this song yesterday and felt like it was a message from him. It made me feel much better.
I was 13 when this album came out and only later realised the deep meaning of their beautiful songs.
I rarely listen to this song. Not because it isn't good but because every time, it plucks at my heart strings. That tug of tears every time. So beautiful. Thank you boys for all you have done and keep doing. Much love!
23 years - still can’t get through it.

Good Lord, the talent. I’m in awe. Taylor’s voice is note perfect. Most adult artists couldn’t pull this off.

Years late to comment, but my dad loved Hanson too. It was like my family's thing. We all loved/love them
I taught, of this song, for my Cousin Amaris Tellez, in Heaven. Today would of been, her 33rd Birthday. Love you, always.
This video reminds me I used to spend the afternoons watching the VHS of The Road to Albertane as I was a kid.

Been a fan ever since they started in their garage in Tulsa!!!!

I love this song it’s sad & happy at the same time. Makes me think of my loved ones in heaven. 😥😁❤️💕😇
Today I taught of this song, for my Mom Mercedes Perez. Today is my Mom's Birthday, in Heaven. She had a Heart Attack, in 2006. Love you mom.
This song makes me cry every time.
I remember always listening to this song,, brings back memories...
I'm watching this on Mother's Day and remembering my late mother. Good timing.
Yall are so 90s. However, this song will always break and heal my heart all at the same time.
Хорошие парни и песни у них хорошие поёте мальчики не переставая такие как вы нужны этому миру.
