due to an alarming number of rifts opening up on or around Earth, a new horror has been discovered. these horrors have been called the corrupted, the corrupted are revived sentient creatures that have been corrupted by the rift (hence the name). the sentient creatures that can become corrupted are as follows: humans, void, light, wendigos, mimics, and lurkers (a newly discovered creature in the cave systems of autumn-5). the only species known to be unable to become corrupted are the arachnids and the other sentient life on Crep.
there are rumors of corrupted star dwellers and nobody being seen. take these rumors with a grain of salt, but be mindful. the rift is full of surprises.
