For more than a hundred years there have been two countries going at it 'Hammer and tongs' at the top of world rugby, one wears green and gold and the other wears black, South Africa and New Zealand.
The team you are watching are the Springboks... current Rugby World Champions (Back-to-Back) and record holders of 4 World Championships (SA has only played 8).... the team in black are the All Blacks (NZ)... As a SAFFA (South African) I can honestly tell you.... don't let these video clips fool you.... NZ are a rugby force and can never be counted out.... there are NO EASY GAMES between these two.... every game is an honest all out war.... Yes, that was Franco Mostert bleeding.... it's a real war mate....
@manueldumont3709 Not so much the case in the Eastern Cape. Rugby has been well supported and played in the Eastern Cape for many years. Yes, soccer is still popular but rugby has been loved and played by black South Africans as early as 1864, after being introduced in the early mission schools in the Eastern Cape. The first black rugby club is thought to have been Union Rugby Football Club founded in Port Elizabeth in 1887. They played already well established Coloured teams at first but soon other clubs like Rovers, Orientals, Frontier and others were established and inter-town games became a regular occurance covered by the Xhosa language news paper Imvo Zabantsundu, all before 1900. Granted, most non white rubgy fans would have rather supported the all blacks over the boks during apartheid - another intracacy to the 100 year Springbok All Black rivalry - but many converted to being staunch Springbok fans after they lifted the trophy for the first time in 1995 and Madiba donned the no.6 jersey. Yes soccer is still greatly supported but this is alongside a longstanding passion and love for the game of rugby with roots more than a century deep. It is awesome that the boks have gained so many new supporters in recent years though and while the team is probably more representative now than its ever been I think the influx of new fans identify more with the heart of the team than its racial composition. Each of the boks are there on merit and play their hearts out showing the same tenacity and determination almost every South African employs on a daily basis just to keep living in this beautiful country we call home. In essence they display on the field the traits that are common to all South Africans regardless of colour or creed and highlight the potential we have as a nation.
Rugby is taking over the pride cup for South Africans cause our soccer has somewhat lost its grip on the international stages. Rugby is the sport that is gaining and growing as inclusive black representation open eyes and hearts of the majority of South Africa.
As a South African fan I love this but I must give a slight correction. They're the only "Men's" team in history to win 4 Rugby World Cups. The New Zealand women's team has won 6 World Cup titles.
As an Australian, I admire this South Affican world champion rugby team. The best world cup record in the history of rugby. They have actually won 50% of every world cup they have competed in, a record that will never be matched.
I meant 50% of the world cup competition in which they've played in 8. Correct in saying they've they have a 100% record winning all four finals they've got to..
I just came accross this video of yours. As a South African Citizen, I pissed myself with laughter. This is the "Springboks". South African pride of the wold of Rugby. Good one my friend.
The dude you said was 5'3 is Cheslin Kolbe, he is the cousin of Wayde van Niekerk, who is the olympic world champ is 400m sprints, also has the worlds best 300m time Both Wayde and Cheslin are athletic icons
in south africa we have a saying..'hulle weet nie wat ons weet nie' translated it's ' they don't know what we know' - cause our people are just built different
"ASK ANY RACER, ANY REAL RACER. IT DONT MATTER IF YOU WIN BY AN INCH OR A MILE....WINNINGS WINNING!"....then something happens to the shape of the rocks head in Brazil... now we have cars in space.
i am from south africa the team in green. they are currently world champions but do not dismiss the team in black, we have a lot of respect for the all black team. most arguably the 2 best teams in this sport in the world.
@@FreedomGoldminewell they havent won more world cups and have participated in more. We win when it matters, not for win %. But all blacks will always be the most feared for us.
@@FreedomGoldmine facts, but what is also facts, when it matters most, Springboks won 2 world cup titles against the all blacks where the all blacks won their titles against other countries
The guy you called psycho is known as the enforcer in the springboks. Similar to that in the NHL. You pick on one of the smaller players, he comes after you and he’s a 6 foot 8 inch monster who weighs around 265lbs. He’s strong enough that when he joined the springboks, the springbok gym didn’t have weights heavy enough for him to just sustain his physique. Dumbbell chest press 180lbs and bench press 190lbs. He’s a monster you just don’t F with.
Helmets are for forwards to protect their ears. That 'huddle is a scrum. Your ear cartilage gets broken in scrums leading to a condition called 'Cauliflower Ear.
I've heard some reactors from the US talk about a last play in football, where there is a mad scramble for the ball to score that winning touch down and how fast paced and exciting it is. I'm not sure what you call that last play, but imagine an entire 80 minutes of that kind of play, with no quarters, no stoppages, no downs.....just 80 minutes of fast paced, adrenaline fuelled craziness... That's rugby.
And it's brutal!! But our guys are tough as nails!!! We have won the World Cùp 4 times... 2 times conecutively. 2019 and last year. It's played every 4 years.
Since it's the first time watching rugby, You must watch rugby tutorial. And yes the team is Springboks all the way from South Africa. Proudly South African
That "little guy" at 6:15 on your reaction, that's Cheslin Kolbe I asked you to raact to. He was told that he would never be able to play professional rugby because he is too small.. He proved everyone wrong. He's fast, agile, strong, and he can juke like no other. He's not afraid to tackle, and he's brilliant at defense and offense.
@@Bklynreauthere’s a saying about Cheslin Kolbe - he can side-step you in a phone booth. He’s next-level agile. For another “little” guy who dominates the game, check out Faf de Klerk - the Giant Slayer
You're a fast learner. I'm surprised you understood the game so fast despite watching the sport for the first time. Rugby is a beautiful sport that teaches young children great qualities that make then exceptional human-beings. It teaches the importance of teamwork, discipline, self-belief and many more. If you tried playing it I think you'd have absolutely no problem and will have lot's of fun.
We eat meat, morning, Noon and night. For tea, we vary our diet with " Biltong ". We do sometimes have South African veggies, chicken and / or Pork, just to vary our diet. 😂
The South African Springboks psychology is to find a reason to make every game personal. They find a reason to hate their opposition for 80 mins. This was something our current coach introduced since he took over in 2018 and it has worked wonders for us. Historically we have always been brutal, but our coach brought that back in spades and put it at the forefront of our game mentality. It's just 80 mins, they go back to being gentlemanly sportsman straight after the final whistle blows. Love this sport!!!
Yup! When we play the All Blacks or Australia Southern hemisphere, they would have a beer or even have a braai with some of these okes afterwards. There is healthy respect for each other between these 3 countries. The older players know each other and would enquire about how their families are doing etc. There are great teams in the northern hemisphere as well. Wish someone could sit down with you @Bklynreau and give you a few pointers about the game, like tries, the conversion of the try, penalty kicks and other penalties, the scrums, the rucks, the line outs, the forwards and the backs. You will for sure be hooked!!
Yo man. I really enjoyed watching this and would love to see you at a live match between the Bok and all blacks. I'll pee myself laughing at your comments and reactions. Keep it up bro. Greetings from South Africa.
touchdown is a try as well as conversion player must be behind the ball always. when you see the green n gold team vs the all black team you know it'll be epic. we call it the rugby clash of the titans!!! 2 greatest rugby teams in the world. These are the only two teams to ever win World Cup's back to back springboks 2019 and 2023 all blacks New Zealand 2011 and 2015
Numbers 4 & 5 sometimes 8 usually wear it for the scrum to avoid coliflower ears and backline players use it to soften contact on the head which it definitely does help!
We eat PAP EN VLEIS in SA Pappie. That daddy'o, is a stiffly prepared maize meal with variations of sauce, mostly consisting of fresh chopped tomatoes and onions cooked and served with meat. Any and all kinds a meat. We start at this game mostly around 6-7 years old and continue with it until our children outrun us. Around 23 - 36 years old. And then we really become avid supporters, referees, know als. All this while our wives are watching, clucking and shaking their heads in disbelief over the fact that we never grow up. Ahhh, but what a game our Rugby (Rugga) is... 😊
You just watch the current world champs the South African Springboks. They are brutal, skilful and feared. Need to watch more. Just watch Cheslin Kobe one the best player in the world
Okay rugby is a sport created in England in the 1800's by a boy named Webb Ellis. When they get over the goal line it's called a try(5points).When they kick to the post it's called a conversion(2points) or penalty(3points).When their on the ground laying and looks like wrestling it's called a ruck. The play only stops when the ball is played dead or kicked out.Their 15 player on a team,8 forward,7 backs. This team in the green is called the Springboks 4 time world cup winners
This vid was only about the Springbok (green team) tries and hits, but the team in black (New Zealand) are top quality too. In fact, they've been more dominant in recent decades, although the Springboks have had a great past 5 years or so, winning back to back world cups. There are other great international teams too, like France and Ireland, but the Boks and the All Blacks have the greatest rivalry in world rugby. Massive respect for each other, and more than twice as many world cups between them than all the other countries combined.
The game is 40 minutes, 10 minutes rest and then another 40 minutes.😀 Totally understand you. I am in okey shape, 183 cm and 85 kg and I have done and are doing some "crazy shit" regarding pushing myself to the limit. I met a rugby-player after a game in France. He is 10 cm taller than me but 113 kg as he told me. They are totally different people. But I recommend that you try to meet them after the game. Then, they are all laughing, cheering and having a beer or two. But they are physical monsters with a smile.
...ears from being chewed off....again. Guys who wear this headgear ain't gettin fooled again! Sometimes you just see guys with white tape around their ear lobe, stop it flapping about.
That's South Africa (Springboks). Currently raining world champs. What you'd refer to as a touchdown in rugby is a 'try' (scored a 'try'). A try is scored 5 points. While a conversation [when after a try a ball is placed then kicked over the poles] is scored 2, then a drop kick [bouncing the ball once then immediately kick it over the poles] is scored 3. When they lock heads and push each other over the ball it's called a scrum. When one running with the ball is caught and doesn't immediately fall then the two teams start pushing each other while protecting the ball is called a mall. Then when the person with the ball is immediately tackled/falls both teams will form a ruck [when the opposing team tries to go over the person on the ground with intensions of taking the ball (turn over) while the other team defends. It's a very beautiful sport that promotes extreme fitness and sportsmanship. Great reaction bro.🔥🤘🏽 From a proud South African. That's what's up.
Thanks for the great reaction. You need to watch a documentary called Chasing the Sun. It shows you what drives the South African Springboks to be the best. Absolutely amazing. Yes we hold hold the current record of 4world cups and New Zealand has 3 world cups, yet they competed in 2 extra world cups which the Springboks were banned from international sport due to politics and apartheid. Otherwise we might have 5 or 6 world cups😂. Keep up the reactions. Watch Cheslin Kolbe .
Please do a video on these 2 Rugby players, Bakkies Botha and Eben Etzebeth. Bakkies was one of most brutal locks in recent history. To explain, every 4 years there is a world cup being held for rugby and the Springboks is the only team with 4 cups, the All Blacks are also crazy good, they have 3 world cups. Thank you for your reactions, I enjoyed the video. All the way from South Africa!
I've noticed a lot of Americans taking note of rugby lately, and most are views are of South African rugby and it makes sense cause ours has it all at 1000% we really love rugby and we love it hard but with skills and absolute technique. I remember playing u13, and the ride home after a defeat was not pleasant.
To be fair, trying to understand what is happening when you have only NFL to equate to will not give you any help! The pile up is because the game doesn’t stop when someone is tackled, or the ball touches the ground, only when infringement, out of the playing area and sometimes injuries, so the ball is contested for possession. The head covering is called a scrum cap and is to protect the ears and avoid cauliflower ears, or getting them ripped off. It is basically just a cloth cap covering your head. That formation, “like a wrestling match “, is a scrum and it is from that your line of scrimmage developed. Yes, NFL developed and evolved from rugby! I’m afraid your science doesn’t actually apply. You’ll find many videos of people running straight at a defender who successfully tackles them low. These are the World Champions, but there are other teams which are very good and could be described as brutal. Particularly the New Zealand “All Blacks” (the colour of their kit) who are worth checking out.The game is two x 40 minute halves, no time outs, and essentially is a game of continuity and passing. Check out a video on the Laws of Rugby Union.
In rugby, a blood substitution, also known as a blood bin or blood replacement, is when a player is temporarily replaced to receive first-aid treatment for a bleeding injury. The player can leave the field for up to 15 minutes (running time, not game time), during which time medical staff can stop the bleeding, clean the wound, and dress it. If the bleeding doesn't stop, the substitution becomes permanent
No, f*ck science....XD If a player runs toward you at full speed, you hunker down, set in, and when he get's to you, you launch at him with the thrust of a thousand tomahawks and make sure your force is greater.

The first game against red was the British and Irish Lions team ( A mix sides of best English, Irish and Welsh players in one) The Helmet is called a scrum cap and is used for protection form concussion and also to prevent cauliflower ears in scrums
We South Africans love our rugby.🇿🇦 Kids play for ther school teams. It is ingrained in our culture. Some people live and breath it. Love the reactions from American video's... watched all of them... I find it very intertaining to watch their reactions and comparing it to American football. We also call European football soccer in South Africa. There are many soccer and cricket fans in South Africa too.
Check out rules of rugby to understand the game a bit more Bruv...All love from South Africa. The team you are reacting to is the South African national team by the way.✊🏾❤️🇿🇦
You had me in stitches! 😂 awesome reaction video , I’ve watched plenty reaction videos on the same video but nobody made me laugh like you. In the reaction video world you are a Springbok! ( that means a champ 🎉!]
Im SA living in UK now, the use of the word Coloured, believe it or not, is unacceptable here in the UK. You have to say "mixed race" WTF! I reckon if you said that to someone from the Cape you'd get beaten up, here in the UK its the other way around. Go figure!
US understand Coloured as African American. Don't know why you mention it. I'm sure the US guy can see he's not lily white. Does he know where the Cape is?
I have never enjoyed rugby as much as this, thank you for some brilliant entertainment, you've brought the game alive. From a South African non rugby supporter tuis was priceless.
The springboks are 4 time world rugby champions (1995, 2007, 2019 and 2023). "Touchdown" is called a Try (5 points), a try is followed by a conversion or kick to posts (2 points if successful), you can score another three points by converting a penalty kick or a drop kick. 4:32, 14:30, a ruck occurs after a successful tackle, the team that made the tackle tries to steal the ball or force a penalty while supporting their own body weight. They are not allowed to be on their knees or put their weight on the grounded player. The attacking team tries to keep possession and has to release the ball within a few seconds of the tackle. 4:45 some players wear a flexible padded helmet, this is an attempt to prevent concussions. Their use is not mandatory. 7:00 is called a scrum, basically this is a contest of strength between the forward 8's players, to see who can push the other team back. No one is allowed to make any tackles until the ball is out of the scrum. This usually follows a foul of some sort. Lateral passes are allowed, forward passing is a foul, but you can kick forward (7:48) to a teammate as long as they were behind you when you kicked.
I'm Namibian, but I've been a South Africa supporter since the mid-90s, the Bokke are something else at present. I'd love to see you react to the Haka. The All Blacks have their version and their ladies team the Black Ferns have their version of it. It's unreal. I can see why they get amped when performing it.
Please do more rugby reactions. Your reactions are top tier. If South Africa interest you check out specman vs Davids as he get knock out cold and he goes stiff. 😅
I started watching rugby 3 weeks ago and I can't stop watching it. It's fun learning the rules ( they call them laws). I gotta admit I'm having trouble understanding the fouls.
Watch the South African Springboks play in the world cup rugby tournament 2023. SA vs France. SA vs Ireland. SA vs England. and the final South Africa vs New Zealand, October 2023! Fantastic rugby on display, skills and defence! The Boks won the WC for the 4th time. 🏉🇿🇦🏆
I've always been amazed that Rugby has never taken off Stateside. Yous have all the talent in the world. You'd clean up and more importantly bring exponentially more eyes on the sport and the megabucks tv deals. As a South African I'd love to see it. Big fast fellas like Gronk in his prime and your running backs would be superstars.
The ban was due to a sporting boycott during the apartheid era. This ban affected near all sports…not just rugby. I hope you are not insinuating that the ban was unfair….because it did work
We are very proud of our Bokke...best in the world..courageous and they play for every one of us..they have been a great force for uniting a very divided country
Look, these video titles are clickbait. Simple as that. The Sprinboks (from South Africa) have always been known for their physicality. Their most respected opponents are the All Blacks from New Zealand. You will find just as many videos calling them the most feared team. The Springboks and the All Blacks dominate the Rugby World cup. (7 trophies between them) Fans of the Irish team will tell you that the Irish are the best. But, zero World Cup wins. Check out some of the games between the Springboks and the All Blacks. Absolutely sublime. Now, the biggest difference between American Football, and Rugby is that in Rugby, they play for 80 minutes. With just one 5 minute break between halves. There are no stoppages between plays as in American Football. There are also two main versions of Rugby. League and Union And in union, there is a shortened version called Rugby 7s. The American Eagles have been doing fairly well in 7’s. The rules for Rugby League is a bit closer to American Football. But this is a very technical conversation. What you are watching here in Rugby Union.
It’s best to react straight after this to “The Most Feared Rugby Team in the world | The All Blacks Are Brutal Freaks Then you will see difference in style and approach to game Springboks do have international reputation as being physical and thug-like All Blacks will play a physical Fiji side in San Diego July 19 2024 Regarding “the Black team”…that’s the AllBlacks…who still are regarded as most winningest sports team in history. Matches between AllBlacks and Springboks are huge. In 105 meetings, NZL AllBlacks have won 62, the Springboks have won 39.
South African Springboks. We are the World Champs since the 2019 World Cup. And by "World" it actually means teams from accross the entire world, like, the planet 😄
1. The "huddle" you described is called a Ruck. When player is tackled or taken out of play, your team has to protect the ball from being turned over by the opposition. 2. The helmet from the 70's is a Scrumcap. Soft padding to protect against concussions and cauliflower ears. 3. The wrestling match is called a scrum. 3 front rowers, backed by 4 men (two locks and two flanks) and an 8th man to secure the ball exiting the scrum. The 8 men bind and scrum (push) agaisnt the opposition. This is one of your strong points. 4. A score is called a "Try", from way back when scoring equaled 3 points or "Tri". 5. Its important to note that in Rugby there are no forward passes. The player needs to be behind you in order to receive the ball. 6. Feild goals are called "conversions" after a try is scored and equal two points. Penalty kicks awarded by the ref equal 3 points. 7. That specific "Championship" is the British and Irish Lions tour, where the best players from England, Ireland, Scotland ans Wales play in one team and every 4 years come south to play either South Africa, Australia or New Zealand. 8. We've won 4 World Cups (The most of any team) where all the best teams in the world compete. We won in 2019 in Japan & 2023 in France. For great skills and running rugby I suggest you review the All Blacks - New Zealand National Team.
The best thing about rugby is that there is a position for every kind of person in the team - whether you're tall, fast, small, big. Rugby teaches you more about business and life than many books cannot achieve. The Springboks are no wonder 4 times World Champions - because that team comes from diverse communities - ALL for ONE.
They made a movie about the 1995 world cup hosted by SA and won by the Boks. It's called Invictus starring Morgan Freeman and Matt Damon, directed by Clint Eastwood. It portrays how the game of rugby united a nation. Really worth watching. Watched it back in the day on DVD and contained interviews with the actors post-casting which will give you more insight. Interviews available on UA-cam.
This is rugby, my mate. Green team is the South African national team, called the Springboks. Do yourself a favour and watch a few full matches. You will soon learn to love the sport. Blessings, mate.
My two sons play primary school rugby, are rough and tough and become so psyched about this beautiful game that 8 yr old cries when he can't play. Its in our blood and our blood is green! Viva South Africa, viva Bokke!!!
Let me answer all your questions. 1:40: Yes, it's blood. 2:18: The crazy guy is Eben Etzebeth. He's scary af. 3:00: It's called a try. 4:33: That's called a ruck. If a player is tackled and goes to ground, a ruck is formed and teams need to try and move over the ball to get possesion. 6:10: Cheslin Kolbe. There's a whole video on him, he's insane. Big poison comes in small packages. 7:04: That's a scrum. If there's a foul, the other team get's awarded a scrum, 8 players from each team need to push against the other to win possesion of the ball. South Africa historically has a particularly strong scrum. 11:23: Yes, when a penalty is awarded for 3 points, or after a try for 2 points. 13:00: The black team is New Zealand, the All Blacks, considered to be the best team in the world, all things considered. South Africa beat them senseless that day, record win over the All Blacks. 13:55: You're supposed to tackle low. The stronger man will come out on top. There's some videos where guys doing top speed looks like they're running into a wall cause the tackler is a beast. 15:10: Springboks have won the World Cup 4 times. Watch the Cheslin Kolbe one next.
That weird looking helmet is a Scrum Cap, it's a soft padded cap that keeps your ears from being torn off. If you check some of the bigger guys when they go into a maul, what we call a scrum, check how messed up their ears are. South Africans are built solid and play solid, even the smallest of us. What you call a touchdown is a Try for rugby, when you have to ground the ball for 5 points, then you get to convert for a further 2 points for kicking.
When the players get into that huddle it's called a scrum, talking close to a tonne in weight pushing, the aim is to swing the opponent's side far left or right to regain possession of the ball. If a player accidentally knocks the ball forward (fumble) the opposition gets the ball. Then you get a lose scrum, also known as a rolling scrum. These guys are seriously big men, and we show zero mercy on the field. When a player scores across the line, that's called a try worth 5 points, direct thereafter a kicker kicks for posts, the idea that the ball goes inbetween the 2 posts, adding an extra 2 points. That's about the basics. South Africa are leading world champions 2 times in a row. The team in the black, New Zealand have always been our greatest foe's. And always makes for a great game. The green mean killing machine.
The first time a National Anthem was sung at a sporting event was in 1905 at the Cardiff Arms Park..New Zealand performed the Haka as they always do before the start of the match and in retaliation the one of the Welsh players Teddy Morgan led the Welsh crowd singing the National Anthem Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau and the rest is history
The #14 position is actually shared by 2 guys. They are similar in build and both wear "scrum caps" Cheslin Kolbe Kurt Lee Arendse Reason for kicking forward is because of not being allowed to pass forward(offside rules are extremely strict in all aspects imaginable) 5 points for a try(touchdown) 2 points for conversion(kick after each try) If a penalty is conceded, you have the opportunity to kick for goal for 3 points.
They grow up on Braaivleis (South African superior version of the barbecue), Biltong (big chunks of dried meat) and copious amounts of Brandy and coke.... That winning combination produces these MACHINES !
Springbok supporter here..... The two most skilled teams in the world and also most pleasing to watch are New Zealand (All Blacks) and Ireland. All Blacks have dominated the rugby scene for decades..... others had to play catch-up. In recent years Ireland has upped their game in a huge way and is currently arguably the best side in the world although I might get crucified for saying so. South Africa (Springboks) were sanctioned due to apartheid and couldn't compete for a number of years. The greatest rivalry has been between AB's and Boks going back 100+ years. The most physical side is the Boks relying on brute force although they are in the process of improving their running game which requires better ball handling skills. At the recent World Cup (played every 4 years) 4 teams had realistic chances - listed in no particular order, AB's, France, Ireland and the Boks. A great tournament to follow is the annual 6 Nations played amongst the 4 nations of the British Isles plus France and Italy. The annual Southern Hemisphere competition is the Rugby Championships consisting of AB's, Australia, Argentina and the Boks. France and Australia has traditionally also played very exciting brands of rugby to watch as well as Scotland in recent years. Check out IRB men world rankings. Not sure what the current rankings are, but it'll give you some insight. It's not always 100% accurate as rugby is a winter sport hence the southern and northern hemispheres' seasons are not synced although they do overlap to a certain degree.
For more than a hundred years there have been two countries going at it 'Hammer and tongs' at the top of world rugby, one wears green and gold and the other wears black, South Africa and New Zealand.
The El Clásico of rugby!
Very well said old chap!! 🇿🇦
The team you are watching are the Springboks... current Rugby World Champions (Back-to-Back) and record holders of 4 World Championships (SA has only played 8).... the team in black are the All Blacks (NZ)... As an Australian, I admire this South Affican world champion rugby team. The best world cup record in the history of rugby. They have actually won 50% of every world cup they have competed in, a record that will never be matched.
Don't you mean 100%?
I meant 50% of the world cup competition in which they've played in 8. Correct in saying they've they have a 100% record winning all four finals they've got to..
The last World Cup was a ;):( nail biter!! We one by 1 point in the quarters, 1 in the semis and again, one in the finals
Thats my team . I'm from South Africa. To the world we're the Springboks. To our country we are the BOKKE!!! GO BOKKEEE!!!
Springboks from south Africa 🇿🇦 won the last two Rugby World Cups. It's the ONE thing that brings South Africans together ❤️Rugby!!
And then Cyril goes and spoil it all by putting his grubby hands on that cup which NEITHER, Mbeki OR Mandela did.

I just came accross this video of yours. As a South African Citizen, I pissed myself with laughter. This is the "Springboks". South African pride of the wold of Rugby. Good one my friend.

The team to follow is the South African team. We are playing in Australia at the moment so tune in and watch.
The first country to win 4 rugby world cups and I am very proud of my country because of it🇿🇦
And if you wanted to know our rival in ruby is usually considered as New Zealand because we often face eachother in the finals.
And we have competed in two fewer world cups than the rest of the first class teams.
For someone who grew up with springbok rugby, I must say, the commentary on this video is hilarious. Lol
Yeah..."the black team didn't score once"...we also like it when the All Blacks don't score! ;)
The dude you said was 5'3 is Cheslin Kolbe, he is the cousin of Wayde van Niekerk, who is the olympic world champ is 400m sprints, also has the worlds best 300m time
Both Wayde and Cheslin are athletic icons
Kolbe is 1.71m I.e. 5" 7 1/2".
But remember that most backs are around 6'. Forwards are mostly 6'4" or taller.
Yep, 400m record holder at that😊
Kolbe also benches around 90kg (roughly 200lbs)

in south africa we have a saying..'hulle weet nie wat ons weet nie' translated it's ' they don't know what we know' - cause our people are just built different

You just defined south african rugby, I'm using it going in forward🎉

These are the only two teams to ever win World Cup's back to back springboks 2019 and 2023 all blacks New Zealand 2011 and 2015
The helmet isn't a helmet to protect their heads. It protects their ears when they "Scrum" (Huddle).
Just to elaborate , helps avoid coliflower ears, thats pretty much all it does.
Helps for cuts and scrapes on the head when in a ruck but does not help to prevent concussion , trust me I know! LOL
Numbers 4 & 5 sometimes 8 usually wear it for the scrum to avoid coliflower ears and backline players use it to soften contact on the head which it definitely does help!
Yep, for the cauliflower ears as we call it in SA.
We Saffers are built different..
We are indeed 😂😂😂
This vid was only about the Springbok (green team) tries and hits, but the team in black (New Zealand) are top quality too. In fact, they've been more dominant in recent decades, although the Springboks have had a great past 5 years or so, winning back to back world cups. There are other great international teams too, like France and Ireland, but the Boks and the All Blacks have the greatest rivalry in world rugby. Massive respect for each other, and more than twice as many world cups between them than all the other countries combined.
The key here is that ABs WERE dominant decades ago. They're nowhere now. It's all about right now.
The game is 40 minutes, 10 minutes rest and then another 40 minutes.😀
Totally understand you.
😂 Love the description👊
Monsters with a smile👌
The helmet is called a scrum cap, it is there only to prevent your ears from being torn off.
...ears from being chewed off....again. Guys who wear this headgear ain't gettin fooled again! Sometimes you just see guys with white tape around their ear lobe, stop it flapping about.
The touchdown you were talking about is called a 'try' in rugby
Brother this is the springboks, the most fearful team in the world, and we as South Africans love it
That's South Africa (Springboks).
Nice short summary!
When they score it is called a TRY btw
Thanks for the great reaction. You need to watch a documentary called Chasing the Sun. It shows you what drives the South African Springboks to be the best. Absolutely amazing. Yes we hold hold the current record of 4world cups and New Zealand has 3 world cups, yet they competed in 2 extra world cups which the Springboks were banned from international sport due to politics and apartheid. Otherwise we might have 5 or 6 world cups😂. Keep up the reactions. Watch Cheslin Kolbe .
South Africa played 4 finals, won 4 = 100%. New Zealand played 5 finals, won 3 = 60%

We won The rugby world cup, back to back, and 4 times altogether, after being banned from the first two tournaments

South African Springboks. We are the World Champs since the 2019 World Cup. And by "World" it actually means teams from accross the entire world, like, the planet 😄
You need to do your homework....
Springboks rule. Proudly South African.

They made a movie about the 1995 world cup hosted by SA and won by the Boks. It's called Invictus starring Morgan Freeman and Matt Damon, directed by Clint Eastwood.
Well done BOKKE😊, for doing it yet again over the weekend 👏👍.
The #14 position is actually shared by 2 guys. They are similar in build and both wear "scrum caps"
Cheslin Kolbe
Kurt Lee Arendse
Reason for kicking forward is because of not being allowed to pass forward(offside rules are extremely strict in all aspects imaginable)
5 points for a try(touchdown)
2 points for conversion(kick after each try)
If a penalty is conceded, you have the opportunity to kick for goal for 3 points.
THATS THE GREEN AND GOLD BABY. THE MIGHTY MIGHTY BOKKE....SOUTH AFRICA BROTHER HOME OF THE HARDEST WARRIORS...
They grow up on Braaivleis (South African superior version of the barbecue), Biltong (big chunks of dried meat) and copious amounts of Brandy and coke.... That winning combination produces these MACHINES !
❤❤My team SPRINGBOKS.. From South Africa
