Me and my girlfriend were together for 3 weeks before she left for 5 months with the military, she is still out there and we speak and write to each other as much as possible... Distance definitely makes the heart grow stronger. We are crazy for each other and I am so excited for the day she returns. Knowing she outs her life at risk for our country along with many others is amazing and I am so proud to call her mine!
My girlfriend and I currently live two and a half hours apart.. We've been together for almost 7 months, and every month I have driven down to spend a week or so with her.. And in a week today I'll be driving down to bring her back with me for good.. As she is moving in with me (in my parents home) She means the world to me, and I love her beyond amounts.. And I'm proud to say that the feelings are all mutual :)
I recently married the girl I was in a long distance relationship with. I moved from Australia to live with her here in America, unfortunately we are still doing the whole long distance thing because of the military, but its not that difficult and so so worth it.
Long distance is tough but if you both have the same mindset for it it can work. I have been with my girlfriend for over 2 years and we only lived in the same state for 4 month. We may not talk everyday because of crazy schedules but it doesnt mean that we arent committed to each other. There is a point where someone needs to make the choice to move in order to take it to the next level. I'm moving up to her next year to start that next chapter
I've been in a long distance relationship for over two years now, starting off talking online. She came up to spend a week with me over new years and it's still going great!
I am currently in a long distance relationship. My girlfriend has been in China for one month now, I'm in the US, and she will be there for two more months. It's working for us but that doesn't mean it's not hard. The only reason why it's working is because we love each other and trust each other. Communication is very important for us. It makes things easier when we know we are on the same page.
In a long distance relationship now-- it's the best relationship I've ever had (and I've had many). Incredibly fulfilling and damn near perfect. We're meeting this August.
My fiancé and I met long distance and continued a long distance for about 8 months until I finally moved down to be with her and 6 months later now, we are going strong! Sometimes going outside of your comfort zone opens you to amazing things!
You guys are definitely right about the pointless fights that ensue during long distance relationships. I've been in quite a few, they all ended over petty disputes.
Married my 2 year long distance relationship person :D cuz when you find the one... Breaking up just cuz we are far apart sounds utterly stupid. It wasn't even a discussion or a thought to end it over distance. We just did it. I think we fed off the "missing each other" feeling. It's a good gauge I think... If you'd break up with someone simply because of a distance issue, chances are, it's not a relationship worth staying in--my opinion. We've been together 10 years, btw :) WHAT WHAT!
In a long distance relationship that's working wonderfully, possibly because we both know it's not going to be much longer before the distance is gone (a couple more months until we're together at college). Neither of us are particularly jealous or needy, but we're both very faithful and have a lot of trust in each other. Old time friends (about 5-6 years), still fairly new lovers (the 14th will be our 3 month anniversary). We text and facebook a lot, skype when we can and call when service allows. I just know the wait will be worth it, so it works.
Long distance is definitely tough, but I believe it really does force you to communicate your feelings more through talking since you can't physically. If a couple can get through that then they can get through almost anything.
Been in a long-distance relationship with my girlfriend for 4 years. We make it work by knowing it's important to have our own independent lives away from eachother. And we keep it as an open relationship whilst we're apart. It's helped me stamp out a lot of bad habits and bad behaviour from past relationships (jealousy, insecurity, possessiveness, lack of communication, cheating). I don't think it would have survived without Skype or FB though. Being able to talk on webcam etc helps a lot. Plus it helps that she's smoking hot and the most incredible person I know. Makes the time apart worth it.
Met my now fiance through my cousin. She was her best friend. The first 6 months of our relationship (before we even met) was long distance. I lived in BC, she lived in Ontario. We met and a month later I moved to Ontario. Ive now been in Ontario for over 2 years and we are getting married next year! I always thought people were psychologically messed if they dated someone they hadnt met or if they moved across a country to be with someone so early in a relationship.... but I guess either it is okay and amazing and not wacky OR I'm now the psychologically messed up weirdo I used to talk about! :) regardless I'm a very happy wack-o!!!!!
I love how Sarah barely spoke 2 sentences in this one :D Not that I don't like to hear you talk! I just find it funny- ...I don't know how to safe this...
Just discovered this channel. Totally related to this video. I got into a relationship with a girl in 2010 and a couple months later moved from the UK to work at Disneyworld Orlando for a year. Constant arguments, constant tears and drama etc. no fun! I ended up going home early for her. Needless to say it didn't last. I'm now finally back in Florida to catch up on all the fun I missed :)
Me and my boyfriend were in a long distance relationship, we lived in different countries. I moved in with him 10 months ago and we have been together for 2 years next week :)
I'm in a LDR. we met in 2012 on internet, I kinda loved her immediately. She was already in a ldr with another girl, I knew that girl and eventually they broke up, I was there, I did everything I could and finally she was single and I was totally in love. We became friends very fast, but we never saw each other as a common friend. I tried really hard to be worth it, but she was not capable of love me. I stayed, I did everything I could, sometimes our relationship was toxic, we were always fighting, wanting more or less than we could get but she did it, she became my girlfriend and we started planning a visit. I bought the tickets almost a year before, so we had to wait a lot, and we were always very very different so we used to fight as much as we used to dream together. It was bad for her, more than for me, but she didn't give up, so... our lives were full of chats, video calls, sms' and phone calls all the time. Even though we had a full-of-arguments-relationship we started planning a life together, and I fell for her a way I didn't know was possible. We met 2 months ago, those were the best days of my life, we went to the movies, had lunch together, went to the beach, she took care of me when I was sick and it was like I had always been there, I was already used to her smell, her voice, the way she eats and sleeps... I know I am a crappy gf, and she probably deserves better. Sometimes I treat her really bad, but she is still by my side, planning a life with me, planning to visit me next year. Our friendship and confidence on each other made everything possible, so... I really think that when you love someone you just love and try your best to get to be together, even if it is hard of takes some time.
Even though this video was posted months ago... Yes I have been in a long distance relationship. Me in Maryland, her in France. I didn't meet her in person until we had been dating for 14 months. We have been together for four years now. I think long distance relationships can work, however, they are a lot of work and of course you have to be committed :) would I ever be in a long distance relationship again? Probably not if I had the choice.
I'm currently in a long distance relationship.. We met eachother online not even a dating site. The whisper app.. She was giving me advice about a girl I had a crush on. Then we just started talking every night and all day and we'd talk on the phone for hours at a time. We FaceTime so we can see each other. It's really easy to maintain because we have no secrets and we talk through everything. We get to see one another about once a month and even send letters in the mail. I tell her how much I love her every day so she won't forget, and I remind her that I'm always going to be here for her. They work out if you don't let jealousy play into it. I'm not saying it's easy, and it is lonely sometimes, but when I feel that way I just call her, and tell her, or spontaneously drive to where she is.
I've been in a long distance relationship for a year today. :) never been happier. And by long distance I'm talking I live in Australia and she lives in Canada. She visited me last year and I visited her this year. I'm in the process of finding a full time job so she can live here. I've heard long distance doesn't work, but I think it depends on the people. Me and my girl have a very strong connection. And it just works for us.
I've been in a long distance relationship for the last 7 months and its turning out pretty great. she's on one side of the earth while I'm in the states, but she'll be back and the wait is completely worth it.
Met a wonderful girl online. We've had our ups and downs, but we make it work and I love every second I'm "with" her. Haha, but you know, it's only 2,330 miles away from her.. Like it's all good. Almost two years under our belt!
My girlfriend and I lives 4 hours of flight apart. But we make time to see each other every 3-6 months. It will work if you're really working on it. And trust is essential.
my girlfriend and i met on an LGBTQ group on facebook, we started playing video games and skyping as friends and then one day she told me she had feeling for me, and we have been togehter a little over a year now. We make time to see eachother even if its me helping her study, a movie, or talking, even just sleeping. i agree fb and skype are very integrated into our lives. But making the effort to go visit eachother is amazing. I visited her and now 7 months later she will be here soon. Its not for every one sure, but you will know if its with the right one.
In an LDR, it's been a year so far, still going strong :D She's coming to visit for two weeks in July, it'll be the first time since we started. Skype really helps, and email... but yeah, I miss her like crazy.
Ill have been in a long distance relationship for a year and a half on June 5th, and its going well. There have been really bad downsides to it, but I really love her and she really loves me and I'm planning my 4th trip up to see her so everything is going alright so far. You guys are funny, btw (: love it.
Started a relationship long distance(shitty idea, I know) NY to NC then she moved to NV and eventually I moved across the country for her. We lived together for 4 months and when I went home to visit my family for Xmas, she dumped me over the phone. So many lessons learned. Age doesn't always mean more mature(4 yr age gap-I'm younger) Never doing it again, nor am I uprooting my life for someone. Great video btw!
I've been in a long distance relationship with my girlfriend for almost 3 years now, and we met online :) We've only seen eachother in person once, and I don't recall a time we've ever had a fight.
I started dating this girl in August 2013, then in October she moved 5 hours away. We kept it going, made visits, fb, text, call, letters, gifts. Now it's July and she's moving in
been in a long distance relationship. it worked out for 8 months. now, im dating someone again and it's long distance! Shocker haha. we are willing to do everything and make it work. we want a life together :)
I struggled a lot with relationships, but I am currently in a long distance relationship with my boyfriend of almost 3 months. He lives in England and I live in the US (QUITE THE DISTANCE!) But we talk and Skype nearly every day and are extremely happy. I plan on visiting him soon when I get the money. We have yet to meet in person I might add. He's my whole world already and a total nerd like me~ I am falling hard for this boy! Sincerely, Daniel Emmett
My wife and I were long distance for over a year while we were stationed on opposite sides of the country and I was deployed to another continent. It was worth it to finally be with her though.
Been in one and it didn't work out. But I agree with Hannah.. if you guys are really into each other it'll work. I think people in these types of relationships are often too insecure and hence too much work... so I personally would never do it again.
I've been in two and both of them lasted 6 months until I told them I was going to go to college and better myself for an amazing career. PS I love this channel.
long distance relationships are like getting food when your drunk. You really want McDonalds, but it's too far away so you'll settle for the shitty pizza place that delivers. Because you know that once you start eating it, it's all the same...
I'm 16 and I've been in a long distance relationship with my girlfriend for the past two and a half years. It is hard not seeing each other all the time but we do try to see each other nearly every weekend, every two weeks or whenever we have breaks in the school year. It does get harder each time we leave each other but we cope well and we're still going strong. We do have silly arguments all the time but only because we miss each other, when we're together we don't let go out each other :) 4 days until I see her again
I am in a long distance relationship right now. I met her on a festival and we started talking for a couple of months and suddenly we were just dating x3 It takes around 5-6 hours with train to get there, so we see each other in extended weekends and holidays.
I'm in a long distance relationship with a person who used to be just my best friend. right now I live in one country and he lives in another and we've been together for almost 2 years and I still think that the dude is the greatest person I've ever met and we have never fought even once because there is nothing to fight about xD
I am just out of a long distance relationship, the reason it ended was because we weren't living the same life & jealously became the main factor. It was love but it's done & it ruined the most perfect relationship. I wouldn't get into a long distance relationship again as it just became too stressing the 8 hour time distance played with our minds and in the end destroyed our happiness.
My girlfriend lives about 45 minutes away and I see her about twice a month we've been together 3 years and plan to be together for the rest of our lives :)
I have an OPEN long distance relationship, which means that we want to see each other in the future with the intentions of being together. I think it works though it tends to get pretty dramatic every now and then. Sometimes I think it is silly though because it so uncertain.
my relationship is gonna be turning long distance next year when my boyfriend goes to uni. it's kinda long distance now as we live an hour and a half away from eachother but we've been able to see eachother at school most days. we do have everything planned so we can still see eachother lots and i'm hoping to get into uni near where he is (because i like the course not just cause of him) and hopefully it'll be ok! :3
Its not how you met that is important, its how your love develops. Starting a relationship online or offline doesn't determine the success of a relationship. You're still dealing with very real people and very real emotions.
My boyfriend and I started dating fairly close to eachother, and now I'm out of state in college. We were together for two years before I left, and now we're coming in two years of me being gone. It's hard, but we just keep thinking, "I love this person. Do I really want to give up on that yet?"
I've been in 3 long distance relationships. One turned into a marriage and then a divorce many years later. I'm in another one now (SF to SoCal), we'll see what happens. Eventually someone has to move to make it work
Well I'm a guy and I met my girlfriend online. She is Canadian and I'm American. We didn't meet until 5 months into our relationship. She flew to see me on Christmas day and stayed for a month. Then 5 months after that she flew here again and stayed for two weeks. We have been dating for almost a year and a half now and I'm getting ready to fly to her and spend Christmas with her and stay for 3 months. I have to say this is the best relationship I've ever been in by far and I've never felt closer to someone in my life even though we are a country apart So if two people really care about each other and are mature and willing to put the effort in that it takes to make it work a long distance relationship can be very successful.
freakishly similar to my story. going on 5 years now and not planning to give up until she can live with me for good. it would be easy but the health care up there is da bomb and she has very expensive needs so basically we need to win the lottery lol or figure something out lol
LDR for 14 years with GF who became an out-of-state professor; spent summers and Christmas holidays together. Now ending; I couldn't maintain the illusion in the face of stark reality. It's just not real.
Im currently in one. She lives on the island and i live on the mainland, and we see each other now maybe a week out of the month. Its hard but neither of us are very jealous people and id say this relationship couldnt work if we loved each other any less. Long distance can be done, its just a different experience i guess.
Lol, I think I liked a picture of Hannah Hogan from a while back on FB. I had a long distance relationship with a woman about 1000 miles away. It lasted about a year, but did not work out. It got too frustrating and we had to end it. You just can't make out with a phone or even cuddle with it, at least not and get any kind of real satisfaction. So, yeah, that was over after a very frustrating year. She was great though. If we had lived closer or one of us could have afforded to move, it would have been great.
I'm in a long distance- relationship at the moment and i really truly love my girl...but Its so lonely without her! The distance is not that big , but I'm young and she hasn't that much money so Its really difficult to meet...-.- (from Germany to Belgium) i hate it...it would be way easier if she would Live here...but!: you are way happier if you meet and it stays long! I think she is the love of my Life so i gonna try everything to keep us up
ok so u touched on the swag denominator. I don't think i have that much swag with women, maybe a lil swag here and there ..but with dudes, i always get this..'Damn girl! You got swag and then some!' weird huh? i blame the pretty girls that wont let my swag go to work. lol.
i actually am in one, i was with that person for a year and i had to move and it has been four months since i left and we are still together. Hopefully it works out
sarahs presence is enough
I met my wife online...we have 11 years together. :)
That's epic! Congrats!
congrats, I met my wife online as well. We have been married for 5 years now.
well I met my girl online too and now we're breaking up after 5 years of relationship. that's life :)
hey hannah hey
It can work. My girlfriend and I met online, a year later she moved from NC to Texas to be with me. 3 years later and still wouldn't change a thing.
I feel like Hannah was staring into my soul this whole video.
Me and my girlfriend were together for 3 weeks before she left for 5 months with the military, she is still out there and we speak and write to each other as much as possible... Distance definitely makes the heart grow stronger. We are crazy for each other and I am so excited for the day she returns. I was in a Peace Corps relationship... 8287.15 miles for a little more than 2 years. It was very rough, but now we are fabulously gay married!!
I recently married the girl I was in a long distance relationship with. I moved from Australia to live with her here in America, unfortunately we are still doing the whole long distance thing because of the military, but its not that difficult and so so worth it.
LDR for 4 years with my girl and still goin strong! Lots of honest communication and lots of visits!!

Met my now fiance through my cousin. She was her best friend. The first 6 months of our relationship (before we even met) was long distance. I lived in BC, she lived in Ontario. I love how Sarah barely spoke 2 sentences in this one :D

i like to think that sarah is quiet in this video because she is jealous of hannah being so friendly with her girlfriend

whoa. 5:53-5:58 hannah looks like she's zoned out, thinking about how "hungry" she is for "pizza" damn girl...
How did I miss this gem of a video?! I'm so endeared by Hannah. She should date me.
Ill have been in a long distance relationship for a year and a half on June 5th, and its going well. Age doesn't always mean more mature(4 yr age gap-I'm younger) Never doing it again, nor am I uprooting my life for someone. Great video btw!
lol, Sarah.. I like how you inteprete it. Aaaannnddd, on a side note, can I be your pizza? ;)
does it count as "worked out" if we broke up but we're still friends? i'd call that an accomplishment
I've been in a long distance relationship with my girlfriend for almost 3 years now, and we met online :) We've only seen eachother in person once, and I don't recall a time we've ever had a fight.
someone like you by adele is how I feel about hannah. like she is bae and such a funny actress..I literally cant.
I liked this video, so I could come back and watch this high...or more likely drunk. THIS talk is to real.. ( its was great)
I started dating this girl in August 2013, then in October she moved 5 hours away.
Sincerely,
Daniel Emmett
I'm eagerly waiting for your comment about your beloved Zoie Palmer's coming out. SERIOUSLY, I CAN'T WAIT HAHAH
I'm not gay but you guys are so freaking hilarious :D
Currently in a LDR. I live in Vietnam and she lives in Washington state. It's the worst. I want pizza but only this one.
I am in a long distance relationship right now. I met her on a festival and we started talking for a couple of months and suddenly we were just dating x3 It takes around 5-6 hours with train to get there, so we see each other in extended weekends and holidays.
I spent the first 4 months of my current relationship long distance. Fortunately she came back again. It's 6 months now.
None of my long distance relationships ever worked out, and being open bout being transgender makes it hard to get in a close distance one DX
I'm in a long distance relationship with a person who used to be just my best friend. right now I live in one country and he lives in another and we've been together for almost 2 years and I still think that the dude is the greatest person I've ever met and we have never fought even once because there is nothing to fight about xD
my wife and I have an awesome long distance relationship.. Its totally possible!!
My girlfriend lives about 45 minutes away and I see her about twice a month
we've been together 3 years
and plan to be together for the rest of our lives :)
Major crush on Hannah oops
Great video! Mine worked but I moved to be with her after 2 months!!
In a ldr during pandemic with boarder closures for years and its extremely hard.
It's just not real.
could hannah please be on more of your vids? :)
Hannah Hogan is so cute
I think she is the love of my Life so i gonna try everything to keep us up
Look at Hannah's face from 5:55-5:59!!!!
pffft I know right? I just about died lookin' into those eyes. Hannah's perffeccccct
Sarah was so quiet on this one.. And damn, Hannah 5:53
Y'all got me thinking about pizza
The only thing I took from this video was pizza!
ok so u touched on the swag denominator. I don't think i have that much swag with women, maybe a lil swag here and there ..but with dudes, i always get this..'Damn girl! You got swag and then some!' weird huh? i blame the pretty girls that wont let my swag go to work. lol.
I remember Hannah from this show my sister watched, That's So Weird. I see her now, and well damn
4:19 sarah and adrainna said each other's name at the same time
YAS! someone else noticed! * super late high five over the internet *
We talked for about 4 months, and then dated officially for 2 days. Needless to say, it didn't work out LOL
i actually am in one, i was with that person for a year and i had to move and it has been four months since i left and we are still together. Hopefully it works out
