@@charbelmoussallem8745 i cannot say its better because maybe its a matter of opinion (unless you work with photo/vídeo/music creation, then yes MB is the way to go). I can say its a great machine, apple OS works wonders and the Apple Silicon M chips is the fastest to date. That being said if you are coming from a windows device just make sure all your softwares are compatible with apple OS. Finally, alas, gaming isnt that great on apple devices so bear that in mind.

If you're not comp sci or engineering major, MBair processing power is not your biggest worry, optimize for battery life.
So should i go with the mba m2 512 gb or buy the base mbp m1 pro (starting my first year in comp sci next month )

This is definitely not ideal for most students. That is why I suggest going for the M1 MacBook air in most cases.
