I've learnt so much from this channel! Appreciate all the videos
Thanks so much for the kind words, glad they helped you.
Beautiful work! keep it coming I’m new but I love your work.may God bless you!
Thank you Latonya!
Hey gris, great vid! In one of your older fiberglass fridays you were working on a peacock on an urn mold. I sure would love to see a video of that mold and a casting from it!
Hey Bryan ,in the spring I have to pour a couple.I'll try and remember and do a vid.
@@mrconcreteartisan sounds good!
I cut a bunch of glass up in advance also. I hate when i go to use them again and there will be a few drips of hard resin on them from the previous time i was glassing and i thought i was so careful.
Hey Tom ,yeah that can be a piss off for sure ,happens pretty often for me as well!
Massive mold Gris! How heavy is the planter after the pour? Good info..... Bob
Mornin Bob ,probably in the 120 lb range.
I binge watched all your UA-cam videos. I love watching all your ideas take form. Have you thought about adding a live viewing? I’d love to see the in between videos.
Your right ,I don't do many actually laying up glass and such.Might just set up the cam one day and let it roll.
Olá mostra o nome do látex Rubber que você usa muito bom seu trabalho
Do you have a list of brands you use for fiberglass, and rubber? I’m in Ontario and am looking for a good brand.
Lucky for you my rubber comes from Etobicoke, Sculpture supply Canada ,here's the link and I use the FMB type latex. www.sculpturesupply.com/list.php?sf=category&vl=Rubber+Latex
Fiberglass and resin you will have to source out in Ontario.I'm sure there are many places.
Hi Gris I was under the impression that when you are doing the rubber that you could only leave it for about an hour between coat s but you are saying that you can continue laying on the rubber the next day is that right
Hi Daphne,Your rubber should be completely dry before adding another coat ,two coats a day is normal.Sometimes three if I put a small fan near the model on low speed. The only way to build proper thickness is by letting it cure between coats.Hope that helps.
@@mrconcreteartisan thanks again Gris I wont need a fan I do mine outside and its pretty hot here most of the time so it does dry fairly quick but I will wait longer between coats
@@daphnelaverack7345 Sounds good Daphne ,one word of caution ,latex rubber and direct UV sunlight are not good friends.Stay in the shade and keep your rubber out of direct sunlight.
