- a look at the Wafter boilie... explaining the Wafter and how it works...
In a fish tank this time but normally seen on a lake bed, when fishing for Carp! The cork dust within the boilie makes is more buoyant. Critically balanced baits catch more Carp!
Just getting back into carping after a long time out. Always used pop ups or btm baits had never heard of wafters. Now I know shall be getting some
Good hunting!
When they say “it’s a bottom
Bait” does this mean they mean it’s touching the bottom or popping up?
Good question millwallfan06, the term bottom bait usually means everything except a Zig or a surface bait.
It's touching the bottom but easily pops up when disturbed and so it stands out from the slightly more dense boilies, I guess it means the fish are more likely to take your wafter before hoovering up the freebies

cool, Ill be trying out wafters for the 1st time in my next session. Ive always just used boilies.
good hunting!
wow
Am I missing something?!!
They all just sat on the bottom of the tank!!! 😂
wafters sit with the other baits until slight movement above causes them to waft upwards.
So Wafters drift above slightly and normal boilies stay right at the bottom?
Hi millallfan06, Wafters lay on the bottom until there is light water movement. Boilies only move when lots of water movement.
